Yash: yeah right…

Chibi: hey I heard that!!! Well, on with the chapter!

Chapter 4: trapped!

Inuyasha awoke to the most wonderful sight he had ever seen. Kagome was lying there wrapped in his arms with her hair spread across the pillows and her face. She looked so peaceful that he hated to wake her up but one look at the clock told them they had to hurry if they wanted to get outside in time to catch the bus to take them to the ski resort. He decided that if he was going to wake her it would at least be pleasant, so he leaned over and gave her a kiss.

All night Kagome had been dreaming. These dreams, mind you they were ones that a girl like her should not be having, all contained her and Inuyasha doing unmentionable things. Just as her last dream finished she felt his very real lips on hers.

As Inuyasha pulled away he noticed the flush look she had and realized it couldn't have been from that one little kiss. "Good morning sleepy head. What might I ask were you dreaming about last night?" he asked once she was fully awake.

Kagome immediately blushed realizing that she was covered in sweat from her dreams. "N-nothing. I need to take a shower though." She mumbled. "Want me to join you?" he asked with a devilish grin on his face. `Oh gosh!' she thought. `He knows.' "Uh, um, well, n-no, uh, no. That's ok." Kagome stumbled through her answer as she ran off to the shower completely forgetting her clothes.

30 minutes later Kagome stepped out of the shower clad only in a towel that barely covered her.

`Man I was so embarrassed I forgot to get some new clothes. *sigh* oh well I'll just grab some real quick and get back to the bathroom before he can stop me.' With that thought she rushed over to her open bag grabbed some clothes and ran back to the bathroom only to be stopped by Inuyasha.

"Now tell me Kagome, what was it that you were dreaming about last night?" he asked huskily causing Kagome to shiver. "From the sound of your voice Inuyasha I'd say you already know the answer to that." She replied. `Yes I knew it! She was dreaming about me! Wait, does that mean she is going to finally accept my offer? I need to check into this.' He thought.

He was about to start his experiment when a call came from the connecting door telling them they only had 10 minutes till the shuttle bus came to get them. "Oh Yash, I have to get dressed!" and Kagome ran into the bathroom to change. `Damn.' He thought. `If it wasn't for that stupid bus I could have had her!!'

On the bus…

Kagome was again sitting on Inuyasha's lap but they were far away from Miroku and Sango and instead surrounded by other people some of which, the males, Inuyasha noticed were leering at Kagome making her feel uncomfortable. Luckily though they were pulling into the resort otherwise there would have been a scene.

"C'mon guys let's get our passes and head up to the very top of the mountain!" exclaimed Kagome, happy to be off the uncomfortable bus. Not that Inuyasha's lap was uncomfortable, she just didn't like the looks she was getting. It was really creepy!

Walking away from the ticket booth with four lift tickets they headed off to get their skis and boots from the rental store. `Wow these boards are cool.' thought Kagome. Finally they were on their way to the top of the mountain.

(A/N: I thought about stopping here but I decided to keep going… too short!)

"Wow! This mountain is really pretty and just look at the view!" exclaimed a very excited Sango. Miroku then remembered his little daydream of him and Sango sitting in the snow and looking at the view. Of course being Miroku, the thoughts turned into something with a little more action.

Inuyasha and Kagome noticed the look in Miroku's eyes while Sango said that but poor Sango didn't and fell right into his trap. "Oh, Miroku can we sit here for a while and take some pictures?" `This is perfect' he thought. "Of course Sango, my dear. Anything you want!"

"Well while you two do that me and Kagome are going to go snowboard. See ya later." Muttered Inuyasha. "C'mon Kagome." (A/N: for all the miroku/sango fans out there don't be mad but I am just gonna stick with kagome and inuyasha for now. It is more important than hearing about how miroku is a hentai, but I promise I will come back to them!) She quickly followed after him, eager to get going.

A little ways away from the lift there was a sign that pointed to a ski path with trees all around it. It said BACKCOUNTRY: ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. POSSIBILITY OF AN AVALANCHE! Of course being the observant people that they are, neither Inuyasha nor Kagome saw this warning sign and continued on boarding down the path and through the trees.

"Hey Inuyasha let's race!" Yelled Kagome. (Bad idea) "Yeah ok. Where to?" asked Inuyasha. "That clearing at the bottom looks good so we can go to there!" she shouted back. (Again… bad idea.) "Ok Kagome. Ready, set, GO!!!"

They raced all the way down to the flat clearing yelling at each other all the way down. Inuyasha, with his sensitive ears, picked up a rumbling noise from behind them. Turning around to see what it was his eyes nearly bulged out of his head.

"Kagome" he said hesitantly. "Look behind us and tell me what you see but don't stop moving forward." Confused Kagome turned and had the same if not a worse reaction than Inuyasha. Behind them due to the screaming was a huge avalanche.

"Inuyasha what are we gonna do?" screamed Kagome. She had seen this too many times on TV where the teens get trapped in the snow and no one knows they are out so the end up dying. "I think I see a cave up ahead." He said. `We can make it I know we can!' Urging their boards as fast as they would go, the couple headed for the cave that was just ahead.

Inuyasha turned into it easily but had to grab Kagome so she didn't keep going and get stuck in the fast coming snow. Just as he pulled her in though, they were blasted back by a rush of cold wind as the avalanche passed by the opening of the cave blocking them in.

Yash: I know!!! I know!!!

Chibi: shhh! Be quiet you idiot or your gonna give away one of the best chapters!!

Yash: sheesh, sorry! I cant help it if I am excited cause I finally get to- mmpshmmhh…

Chibi: thanks Kagome.

Kagome: anytime!!

Chibi: well sorry. I know it was a very short chapter but I got started late. I wish I could make this a longer chapter but I didn't. At least I got it up though right? That has to count for something since I am always late on updating and this time it wasn't my fault I was late!! MM.org wouldn't let me on and my computer was freakin out so…sorry but at least it's up!

Yash: just wait… the next chapter wont be up for a month!! Hehehe

Chibi: Hey you! I heard that and I'll have you know that I do plan on having it up sooner than a month so don't listen to him! He's crazy. Well please review and tell me what you think! I hope you are all happy with the way it is going and I will have more time to spend on it since we aren't going out of town! Until next time… peace out!
