Looking out the window to the passing cars, Kagome sighed. They were going to a country club, Rin had to take riding lessons.

The talk with Mrs. Higurashi had went smoothly, surprisingly smooth. Although something was beginning to bother her.

When they, that is her and Sesshoumaru , had been at her house, it had been ... strange.

He had talked to her mother, like they had known eachother for a lifetime, not that he wasn't cold, but he always knew what she ment.

This was what made her so... so angry.

When she had looked at them, she couldn't help but feel...feel insignificant, like if she was a two year -old among grownups.

,,Something wrong?" Sesshoumaru asked her.

Turning towards him, she smiled. Maybe she was just overreacting.

,,No. Nothing wrong. So how long have you been taking riding classes?" she asked Rin.

The child, who was again bouncing on the backseat, happyly answered.

,,Two month now, do you know how to ride?"

Smiling at the girl's obvious enthusiasm Kagome responded.

,,My grandfather tought me.He was an excellent rider."

,,Really, well then you can ride beside me now, Sesshoumaru doesn't like riding much."

Turning to Sesshoumaru Kagome smirked.

,,Afraid of horses?"

Glancing at her briefly, he was amased how fast she could go from one emotion to the other.

Two minutes ago, she was restless, somewhat sad, and even angry, and now she was mocking him.

Tables can be turned.

,,Not much, although I would prefer a more experienced rider to help . Would you be so kind?" he asked smirking, making her own smirk fade in return.

,,We're here!" Rin announced, saving Kagome from an answer.

,,You are not serious." Kagome told him annoyed.

,,But I am, Rin is waiting you know." he told her, suddenly grabbing her by the waist and lifting her effortessly on the horse in front of himself.

Flashback

After entering the huge club, they all went to get themselves horses. Rin, well Kagome chose for Rin, and she choose a foxy mare, gentle but with a spirit. When Kagome was about to choose

her horse, though, Sesshoumaru had stopped her and motioned for a black stallion.

After he was already seated comfortably in the sattle the argument had begun.

,,Need a hand?" he asked her coldly, and thus...

,,You are ...going to let me down , now!" Kagome told him angryly, only earning a smirk in return.

,,Why should I ?" he asked, tightening his hold on her waist, bringing her close to his chest.

,,Because I said so." Kagome responded heatedly, trying to ignore the feeling of being pressed against his well sculpted chest, along with his sweet scent...almost like wind, water, earth...soothing

in a manner, but yet untamed.

Leaning down he brought his head to her ear , inhaling her floral scent, letting his breath tickle her skin.

,,How about ...no." he whispered, suddenly turning her and riding along Rin, who had been too busy stroking her horse to see anything.

thought you said you couldn't ride." Kagome gritted out angryly.

,,Anything can happen." Sesshoumaru told her amusedly. He was enjoying making her angry too much.

,,Like you letting me get down?" she asked sweetly, although she kind of liked where she was.

,,Lunchtime, so you can escape. Rin, come, we'll have lunch. How about you two take the horses back."Sesshoumaru told them, getting off the horse and walking towards the restaurant.

Kagome had just put her horse in the box, when she heard an all to hated voice approach.

,,Why, if it isn't Sesshoumaru's second little girl."

Kagura said, venom dripping from her words.

am not his little girl." Kagome told her quietly.

,,What else could you be? After all Sesshoumaru

isn't interested in children that way." she said winking at her.

,,Well it seems he isn't interested in you that way either." Kagome told her sweetly, taking Rin's hand and walking away.

,,Kagome are you Ok?" Rin asked her.

Turning towards the innocent girl Kagome smiled and nodded.

,,What took you so long?" Sesshoumaru asked as they approached the table.

,,Children don't walk fast." Kagome told him angryly.

Sesshoumaru simply shot her an icy look, but she ignored it and so they ate in silence.

,,I'll go faster." Kagome told them quietly, leaving the table, and walking off.

,,Rin, what happened?" Sesshoumaru asked the little girl.

,,That Kagura lady argued with Kagome and called her a child .Kagome was a little upset, but she never acts upset around me, she always smiles." Rin told him.

,,Is that so..." Sesshoumaru concluded.,,Rin , please go get your horse and tell Kagome to wait for me will you?"

,,Sure ." the little girl responded, running off.

,,Wait for him... he's late." Kagome said to no one in particular, tapping her foot.Rin was outside riding and she was in here with the horses.

Walking towards one of them , Kagome began to pet him, he was afterall a beautiful black stallion, and he was gentle too, she had noticed while riding him.

,,Why does everybody consider me a kid?" she asked the horse.

,, It hurts you know, not being taken seriously, being ignored. Ok, so maybe I do not have their experience, but that shouldn't work against me, it should be..." she stopped when she suddenly felt strong arms hugging her from behind.

,, ...your biggest virtue." a soft voice whispered in her hair, continuing her sentence.

Recognizing the voice, along with the strong arms around her, she relaxed and let her head drop against his shoulder.

,,How much did you hear?" she whispered.

,,Enough." he answered softly. ,,Why were you mad, this morning before the meeting with Kagura."

Putting her hands on his, she moved her head to the crock of his neck.

,,You talked with my mom." she whispered.

,,Because of you." he whispered back.

know, it's just... you talked about everything so naturaly, while with me both of you talk like I was a child."

,,Like Kagura told you."

,,Well , yes." she whispered back.

Turning her around so she was now facing him,

he took his hand and gently cupped her chin, so she would look up to him.

But once she did, she got lost...lost in those pools of gold. She didn't see pity in them, no she saw care, care for her.

Leaning down , Sesshoumaru let his lips brush hers, sending sparks through both their bodies, but this time he didn't retreat, didn't leave.

Letting his tongue run over her lips gently, he made her moan at the warm feeling which was flooding her body.

Using the opportunity, he let his tongue, explore her mouth, brushing hers, coaxing it to respond, which it shyly did.

Soon, their tongues began to battle, battle for dominance, making their kiss more passionate.

Kagome was glad , she was in his arms, she was sure she would have fainted if not. Tangling her hands in his hair, she let him tilte her head to the side, thus letting her breathe through him.

What did she do to him? He, among his long life , had never wanted someone like her. She was sweet, heavenly sweet. Hugging her to him more fiercely , he felt her heart beat rapidly and smirked into the kiss.

Breaking their kiss, for lack of air, they both panted. Looking up at him, Kagome saw his eyes and gasped. They were darker, like melted gold, and they were shining with desire.

Bringing his lips to hers once more , he tasted her lips hungryly and whispered.

,,No , you're not a child."

,,Sesshoumaru , Kagome where ..." Rin called from outside , making their lips part.

,,We should go." Kagome told him timidly, but upon seeing his smirk she got a little mad.

,,What's so funny?" she asked.

,,Your cheeks are flushed, your eyes are glassy, and your lips are red and swollen." he answered.

,,It's.." but she was cut off when he kissed her once more, this time chastly, making her want more..

like it, and if you're nice you'll get more later, now let's go." he told her amused.

,,No, I'm treating you like mine." he told her, reaching for their horse.
