Waking up, he let his arm trail on the bed, looking for the warm body of his mate, but yet there was none.
Opening his eyes, he scanned the bed, no one.
Jumping to his feet he let his eyes search the room, then the house, then the yard.
No one .. . red started seeping into his eyes, but then disappeared as he reasoned nobody could have taken her against her will . . .
So . . . she left.
The words washed over him like a icy-cold shower, bombarding him with guilt, pain, hurt…
For once in his life, he desired someone's betrayal , her betrayal, but he knew, knew she hadn't.
She left by her own free will, so who was he, to disrespect her decision?
Her mate a voice argued in his head, but even this did not bring him any comfort.
Her mate . . . yes , her mate, but if he was, then shouldn't he go after her?
His youkai screamed it to him, demanded it, but then her smile flashed before his eyes, that sad and heartbreaking smile, a smile which he had seen, the last night as well…
His dreams had shown him, her love, her trust, and then somewhere throughout all of it, her smile.
No, she had chosen, and if her choice made her happy, he had no right to disrespect it, even though it condemned him to misery . . .
Dressing, he made his way to his car, getting in, and driving off, the distant memory of his daughter, allowing his shattered heart to find some comfort.

She was standing here, at the little girls bed, leaving her present, silently leaving, walking again …

Two weeks, two weeks, since he had last seen her. Two weeks since the silver ring she had always worn, appeared at Rins bed, along with a card saying goodbye.
To say he saw her everywhere was an understatement, for even when he did not see, she was there, sending stabs to his heart.
,,Sesshoumaru, your club has just received an award." Mirokus voice sounded from his phone, the man already used to his habit of ignoring people.
The club . . . even there, no everywhere, she was there.
"We are supposed to dance, you know." She said struggling to hide her embarrassment.
Smirking even wider he began to move his body and hers as well to the light music which echoed through the club.
Again he went to her ear whispering.
"So we are."
She was like a ghost, always present, but then again, he couldn't imagine her not to be, her smile, her eyes, her face, to be there, in his mind heart and soul.
He needed only one thing. To say goodbye.
The place he once wished to take her to popped up in his mind, and instantly he knew he had the chance to say . . . goodbye.

She stood there paralyzed . The wind moved through her hair, trying to send the ever familiar chill down her spine as she was here again, but this time she wouldn't leave, not now.
Looking down, she slowly placed the flowers on the pale earth, whispering to no one in particular.
,,Goodbye. I wasn't the perfect daughter, and I didn't listen to you, sometimes rebelled against you.
But, no matter what anyone says, I am not the one who killed you, the one responsible for your death nor the reason for it.
We both made our mistakes, we both faced the consequences . I'm sorry, for all the mistakes, all the things I have done to you.
Please , forgive me. Goodbye, otou-san."
Making her way, out of the cemetery, out of this temple of the ones already gone, she went to her car, the car she had bought out of the money her father had left in her trust fund.
Sitting down, the desire to go to this place which she had only seen in her dreams came to her, making her instantly drive to the airport.
