Chapter 8

~ Rules Die ~

 

 

Inuyasha sprinted into the clearing as Kagome was starting to amble away. He didn't need to look at Kikyo to know when he heard the two singing. Unabashedly, Kikyo looked him straight in the eye without wanting to curl into a ball.

 

“Finally, I was wondering when you were coming around. I have to say that reincarnation of mine is adamant when it comes to you. You might have to make it clear to her that you are going to hell with me.” Kikyo started.

 

“Kikyo, what the hell are you talking about? Why the fuck were you two fighting over me? My god, Kikyo, when are you gonna let it drop. Live in the now, hold on, you're supposed to be dead aren't ya?” Inuyasha practically yelled.

 

Without warning Kikyo began to sing a somewhat angrily but surprising saucily.

Kikyo, pointed a finger at Inuyasha's chest trying to convey that he belonged to her and only her. Inuyasha pushed her away.

 

Kikyo, emphasized her statement, or singing by pulling Inuyasha's haori towards her body and seductively moved her lips merely an inch away from his.

“This is over, Kikyo. I don't want to see you around this village if I do I swear I will kill you myself. Your sister already hates me; why not add another tally to the board of killing her sister.” Inuyasha bit out as he turned his back on her and left the clearing.

 

Watching the retreating form, Kikyo blanched at his words to her. Would he really kill me? Kikyo in turn, turned her back and went deeper into the woods, trying to find shelter from the rain approaching.

 

Drawing near to the village, Inuyasha caught a faint scent of blossoms. Following the scent he learned that Kagome was sitting beside the pot brewing hot water for ramen.

 

“Inuyasha, food's gonna be done soon. You might want to get situated for the night in here, it looks like it's going to storm.” Kagome spoke as she stirred the boiling water. Grabbing, six bowl's Kagome divvied up the dry ramen and poured hot water to soften the noodles up. Adding some hint of chicken flavor to each bowl, she pushed each bowl to every occupant. Her supplies from the future started to deplete since the past week when the well sealed itself.

 

“We're going have to not eat as much, I'm running low on supplies and since I can't go back to my time, Inuyasha will lose his most precious food. Ramen.” Kagome giggled as did few of the other occupants. Following after dinner, rain started falling silently outside.

 

“Inuyasha can I talk to you please,” Kagome asked politely.

 

“Feh!” Inuyasha contradicted as he gathered to his feet.

 

“Looks like somebody has a rough day.” Shippo bit out sharply, trying to taunt Inuyasha into teasing the kitsune.

 

“Shut it squirt.” Inuyasha shot out.

 

Kagome grabbed one of her umbrellas that she had brought from her time and left the hut, telling Inuyasha that she wanted to talk outside.
