Chapter 18~Never a Peacefull Moment!

~~~They were all tired. Well all the humans anyway. The demon and half demons could stay awake for days without much rest but the humans did not have that ability. But even being tired did not make anyone rest easier. No one could sleep, their heads were filled with thoughts and possible solutions to Kouga's problem as well as thier own. Finally after tossing and turning for about an hour Kagome sat up with a frustrated sigh. Sango sat up as well when she heard Kagome get up. By the looks of it everyone looked at her, no one had gone to sleep at all.

"Whats wrong Kagome?" Sango asked.

"I cant sleep...Im too tense..I think I need to take a soak in the hot spring." Kagome replied tiredly, but with a soft moan at she stretched and anticipated the soothing waters of the hot spring.

"Mmm that sounds nice" Sango almost purred.

"Good...You want to come with us too Kyoto?? we can have some girl talk while we soak..how bout it?" Kagome asked, wanting to get to know Inuyasha's baby sister alot better. Kyoto brightened.

"I would LOVE to...oooh I never thought I would have sisters to talk to and do normal girl things with." Kyoto replied happily. Both Sango and Kagome grinned. They still liked the thought of actually being sisters now.

"Great!" Kagome added happily as she dug in her stuff for her bathing supplies, as well as extra towels and such for Sango and Kyoto. As the girls started to walk off Miroku piped up.

"What about us?? surely you cant mean to leave us behind?" he said in a hopefull tone, although his eyes were only for his mate, he wouldnt mind seeing all three of the beauties before him together in a steaming hot spring, naked. Just thinking about it had him grining that lecherous grin of his which made Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha growling.

"Inuyasha??" Kagome called out.

"Dont worry I'll keep on eye on the monk." Inuyasha replied giving Miroku a look that had Miroku sighing and laying back down on his now empty feeling palet.

"And Sesshy?? Inu?? If I found out you intentionally hurt my mate??? there will be hell to pay." Kyoto added her own small warning as she dissappeared threw the trees for the hot spring. Both brothers growled but said nothing.

~~~The girls made it to the hot spring and stripped before going in. By the time they got in both Sango and Kagome's faces were beet red. Kyoto noticed this and looked at them curiously.

"What?" she asked.

"Nothing." Sango replied nervously as she looked anywhere but at the half demon before her.

"Wish mine were that big." Kagome muttered as she blushed and also looked around nervously. Kyoto finally understood what they were talking about and started to laugh.

"Ohh please..I would give anything if mine were not as large as they were..do you know how hard it is to do certain things with THESE in your way?" she replied with a huff. Sango and Kagome looked at her curiously, no longer nervous but curious.

"Really?? like what?" Kagome asked.

"Like jumping from tree to tree..it can be a real hassle if these things are not bound close to my chest..thats why I wear that top..its material helps to keep them more secure to my body than other garments with out causing any restrictions to my movements." Kyoto explained.

"And it must be hard to have men learing at you all the time huh?" Sango asked, just thinking of the way Miroku used to grope her and how mad it always made her, she couldnt imagine having men constantly doing that to her or even looking at her like some peice of meat.

"ooh dont even get me started on that one..not just human males either but stupid lecherous demons as well...lets just say I learned how to take care of men like them when I was younger." Kyoto replied with an eye roll at the memories of how men always behaved around her. It was not her fault that she had been blessed, or cursed with her mothers ample bossom and curvy body.

"Im sorry Kyoto...I didnt meant to make you feel bad or anything..its just sometimes I hate being soo..ordinary." Kagome apologized.

"Ordinary?? theres nothing ordinary about you Kagome or you either Sango..I mean come on? Your from the future Kagome and you have priestess powers, not to mention you have a big heart and so beautifull you have two men fighting over you." Kyoto replied. At Kagome's confussed look she giggled.

"My brother Inu and Kouga." she explained. Kagome made an O with her lips and blushed as she sank into the waters.

"And you Sango..look at you?? beautifull and strong..you are more than capabable of taking on any woman man or demon alone and coming out the victor, but even all our skills and training cant stop the woman in your from showing threw, your heart is as big as Kagome's and the fact that you can remain strong as well as keep your feminine figure is truelly a surprise and regardless of what you think or what my stupid brother Sessy says...If he did not desire you he would not have taken you...becoming heat or no..Sesshy is one of the rare few who can actully fight his animal side when need be..that fact that he chose you to mate with is a sign that he truelly desired you." Kyoto explained and Sango blused as well.

~~~As they all dipped below the water to get their hair wet, none of them noticed the eyes that watched them, not till thier owner made herself known to them. Everyone but Kyoto gasped when they saw Kikyo emerge at the bank of the springs. A hatefilled look was on her face and she glared daggers at Kagome, who covered her body with her arms yet glared back at Kikyo. Kyoto looked from her two new sister to the woman before them, if you could call that thing a woman. Even without Kyoto's nose she could tell that this woman was no living creature, and she did not like the way the woman was looking at Inuyasha's mate.

"What do you want Kikyo?" Sango asked, going to Kagome's side to better protect her if Kikyo tried something.

"This does not concern you slayer so stay out of it." came Kikyo's cold voice as she continued to stare at Kagome.

"What do you want." Kagome replied, pushing past Sango to face Kikyo on her own, she couldnt and wouldnt hide behind others, this was her fight.

"You know why...I am here to make you pay for what you have stolen from me." Kikyo replied heatedly.

"He is not yours!...Inuyasha does not belong to you Kikyo." Kagome replied with anger. Just the thought of her claiming Inuyasha made her see red. Inuyasha was HER mate.

"He will be once you are not longer in the way." Kikyo retorted with an evil grin. Kagome and Sango did not like the looks on Kikyos face. And Kagome had left her arrows behind. She was helpless against Kikyo if she tried to do anything.

"Ok wait are you telling me that this THING..thinks Inuyasha belongs to her?" Kyoto asked with confussion. Kikyo hissed at the half demon with malice and Sango and Kagome just snorted. They explained hurridly what the whole thing was about, then for the first time Kagome actually told someone about the confrontation between her and Kikyo the day she came back home after her heat was over. This made Sango see Red.

"So that is why my mate was conforting you that day?" Kyoto asked remembering that day clearly.

"Yes." Kagome replied, small tears slidding from her face as she remembered the cruel words Kikyo had spoken to her, and still fearing that they might be soo true. She and Inuyasha had yet to talk about things.

"ENOUGH!" Kikyo hissed heatedly, tired of all this talk and having them ignore her that way. She would make them pay.

"Its time to reclaim what is rightfully mine." Kikyo added as her aura and powers started to pulse around her.

"Begone you talking clay pot before I make you reget ever threatening my kin." Kyoto replied with an evil glare and growl. Kikyo looked at the half demon with suprise then anger.

"You think YOU can harm me?" Kikyo replied with a cold laugh.

"I dont THINK I can priestess...I KNOW it." Kyoto said as she raised her hand and closed her eyes and some odd glowing came out from her palm and before anyone knew what was happening a bright light emerged from Kikyos body and entered Kagome. Both Kagome and Kikyo gasped in shock.

"Wha..What did you do?" Kikyo screeched cluthing her chest.

"Returned to Kagome what is rightfully hers..the part of her soul you refused to give up..the only thing keeping you alive at this moment is the souls you have stolen from other innocent woman..but if you do not leave this instant I will gladly relieve you of them as well." replied Kyoto. She didnt let it show, but the power she had used to call out the part of Kagome's soul from the dead priestess had drained her of her energy for a time. It was not easy to pull souls from a persons body, it would be impossible if the soul actually belonged to that person, since those that Kikyo had did not, it had made it possible for Kyoto to use her power.

~~~Just then Inuyasha sprang from the tree's and landed in front of Kikyo. Kagome gasped and looked towards Inuyasha with sadness in her eyes. She just knew Inuyasha was going to protect Kikyo like he always did. If he did this time her heart would break for sure. Sango as well held her breath to see what Inuyasha would do. Kyoto glared at her brother sensing Kagome's pain, but didnt say a word. Kikyo looked towards Inuyasha with a longing smile on her face.

"Inuyasha?? you have come back to me?" Kikyo said wistfully. Kagome flinched as the pain in her chest tightened.

"No Kikyo...I havent..I told you that if you went near Kagome that I would kill you..but I will give you one last chance...leave here and never come near my mate again or I WILL destroy you." Inuyasha replied coldly. Kikyo flinched at the anger and the realization that Inuyasha had chosen another over her.

"So you have truelly chosen her over me Inuyasha?" she asked.

"Yes." Inuyasha replied flatly.

"Your promise to me."

"Will be kept..I will avenge you as I promised by killing Naraku..other than that you have no hold over me Kikyo." Inuyasha cut in. Kikyo glared at him then back at Kagome.

"Protect her well Inuyasha..." she said maliciously as her soul gatherers lifted her up into the night air and carried her off.

"Kagome??" Inuyasha called as he saw Kagome crying softly in her palms still sitting inside the spring. Sango and Kyoto inched their way out and grabbed their clothes and left. They knew Inuyasha and Kagome needed to talk, and it was about time, they thought.
