Chapter 19~The Talk!

"Kagome??" Inuyasha called to her again, his voice uncertain and nervous. He hated seeing her cry, and he just knew she was crying cause of him. Kikyo wanted to hurt Kagome cause of him, it seemed all he ever did was hurt her.

~~~His ears flattened ontop his head as he sulked. Inuyasha didnt know what to do or say. He could hear and see Kagome crying softly in the spring, still naked and pink from thier bath. His heart ached soo much. He loved her soo much but feared she was going to reject him. But he had no choice now. He had to talk to her, had to tell her how he felt even if she did reject him. It was time to get things out in the open. Noiselessly he took his clothes off and waded into the water next to his mate. Kagome looked up then with tear streaked face and a gasp.

"Inuyasha?? what are you doing?" she asked nervously, covering her naked body. Inuyasha resisted the urge to feh and roll his eyes, it wasnt like he hadnt seen her entire body several times before. Instead he sighed and wrapped his arms around her bringing her back to his chest as he sat down in the hot spring with her on his lap.

~~~Kagome tensed and gasped again when Inuyasha put her on his lap. He was totally naked as was she, but oddly enough she didnt feel an erection on him. This made Kagome frown. Should she be gratefull that he wasnt here just to mate with her?? Or should she be offended that he didnt find her the least bit appealing enough to warrant an arousal? Poor Inuyasha she thought. No wonder he thought women were fickle..we are, she sighed inwardly. Still unable to figure out if she was mad or what. Most of all she was scared. She knew they were going to have THE talk. But what if he told her he hated her?? That he didnt love her? That even if he didnt love her he would still stand by his pledge to his mate? Could she live with Inuyasha only being with her because he had to?? NO. She would rather die than bind him to her like that. All she ever wanted was Inuyasha to be happy, she had just hoped it was with her.

"Kagome we need to talk." Inuyasha whispered softly into her ear. She tensed at this. She wasnt ready. She screamed in her head.

"Do you hate me that much Kagome?? Do I disgust you that much?" Inuyasha asked sadly at the feel of her tense in his arms. In his mind he was sure she hated him and his heart was slowly breaking into a thousand tiny pieces.

"What are you talking about Inuyasha?" Kagome asked with confussion and a little snap. This whole thing had her on pins and needles and she couldnt help snapping at him.

"You do hate me....Im sorry Kagome.....I...I thought when...well when you wanted to mate with me...that you...never mind I was stupid!..I should of known someone like you would never love someone like me." he stammered as he let go of his hold on Kagome, his anger rising to mask the pain he felt deep within his soul. Surprised and totally confussed Kagome reached out to him and kept him in place.

"LET ME GO!" Inuyasha growled. He didnt know how much more his heart could take. Kagome looked wide eyed at him and almost let him go, till she saw something in his eyes that made her stop.

"Inuyasha?...I..I think we are both missing something here." she said nervously. Oh Gods let her not be wrong, she prayed.

"What?..Im not missing anything wench!..you made it nice and clear how you feel!" Inuyasha replied heatedly. Kagome just tightened her grip on him to keep him from leaving, but at his added struggles she had only once choice.

"Dont make me say it Inuyasha!" she warned as she clawed at his shoulders with her blunt nails, not enough to cause any harm, but enought to cause a little sting.

"You know Im getting really tired of you using that stupid word over me." he snarled as he sat back down for fear she would sit him. But then again if she did they would both go under the water since she was on his lap. He almost smiled at the thought, it would serve her right for all the sits she had given him, and for breaking his heart.

"Then lets take care of that right now." Kagome replied softly as she grabbed the beads around Inuyasha's neck and lifted them off. Inuyasha gasped and his mouth hung open in shock.

"What the fuck do you think you are doing??!!" he snapped at her as he grabbed the beads from her hands and yanked the stupid necklace back around his neck. He didnt know quite how to explain it, but the beads had been there since the day they had met, he felt as if they belonged there, that as long as he had them on he was still tied to Kagome somehow and he wasnt ready to let that last link go.

"Inuyasha?..I..I was just releasing you from the subduing spell..I..I thought thats what you wanted?" Kagome replied with even more confussion and surprise.

"Did ya ask me if I wanted you to take them off?? NO.." he yelled, turning a nice shade of pink. He wasnt used to showing his feelings and letting her see this part of him was hard.

"Inuyasha?? what do you want from me?? I thought I was doing something to please you?? to make you happy and you get mad? Im confussed."

"I dont need you to DO anything to make me happy." he growled.

"Then...then theres nothing I can do to ever make you happy??.." she replied softly, sadly, coming to the realizaton that Inuyasha could never be happy with her.

"Then theres no hope is there?" she added as tears began to spring from her eyes once more as her own heart began to break. Inuyasha saw this and was taken back, he didnt know what to do so he pulled her close to him again and held her tight.

"Let go..how can you stand to look at me much less hold me?" Kagome hissed sadly and angerly. She hated to feel like this, hated the ache in her heart.

"What the hell are YOU talking about now Kagome?" Inuyasha asked with his own confussion. None of this crap was making any sense to him.

"You Inuyasha..I knew you would hate me because I forced you to mate with me..made you claim me as your mate while under the spell of my heat..but I had hoped..a part of me had dared to dream that you wouldnt hate me..that you would love me and that I could make you happy." Kagome cried, finally releasing the damn of emotions she held in, knowing it would do no good to hold them in anymore, he couldnt hurt her more than she was hurting now. To say Inuyasha was surprised was an understatement.

"What?? You think you forced me to claim you as my mate?? You think I hate you?" he asked, trying to clarify things here, part of him daring to hope that what he was hearing was what he had dreamed of.

"yes." she replied meekly.

"Why would you think I hate you Kagome?" he asked softly, pulling her tighter to him, if that were possible.

"Because I know that you mate for life and I gave you no choice..I made you claim me as your mate and shackled you to me against your will." she cried. Inuyasha gasped and his heart sped up.

"Kagome??? Tell me???...Did you want?? I mean...when I claimed you??...was it what you wanted?" he asked fearfully, affraid of her answer, yet hoping to hear the words he soo needed at that moment.

"I didnt want it to happen that way NO...but I had hoped that someday you'd claim me as yours..I..I just never believed you would..and when you did I was sure you would hate me because it wasnt what you wanted..you were under the influence of my becoming heat." she sniffled, not wanting to look at him, fearing what she would see in his eyes.

"Ohh Gods Kagome I think we really really need to talk...since none of this is getting us anywhere and its where we need to start if anything is ever going to be resolved one of us had to say the words..and since I dont think you will I might as well.....Kagome?? I love you." Inuyasha stated, bracing himself for rejection. When none came he looked at Kagome who looked at him with wide eyes.

"What did you say?" she whispered.

"I said I love you wentch!..ya happy?!..geez tell a woman ya love her and instead of looking happy she looks like she about to globber you over the head...and.." Inuyasha was muttering, but was cut off by a fierce kiss on his lips. He moaned at the feel of Kagomes hungry mouth on his and he thought if he died right now he would die happy.

"You love me?? You really really love me?? You dont hate me?" Kagome asked in pants as she came up from the kiss for air.

"YESS I REALLY REALLY LOVE YOU AND NOOOOOO I DONT HATE YOU AND YOU KNOW IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW THAT THE WOMAN I CONFESSED MY LOVE TO ACTUALLY SAID SHE LOVED ME BACK!" Inuyasha all but yelled in her face. He was hard and he wanted her now, but most of all he wanted to know without a doubt that Kagome loved him too.

"Ohh Inuyasha..sometimes you can be soo stupid...how could you not know how much Ive loved you for soo long now??" she replied as she smiled and hugged his neck and bounced on his lap. Inuyasha groaned and she then realized that his once absent arousal was not soo absent anymore.

"Inuyasha?? You really do love me right?? your not just saying that so we can make love again are you?" she asked him with narrowed susupicious eyes.

"Fuck Kagome!...I said I loved you and you accuse me of saying it just to get my cock inside of you??!..KEH..you were the one bouncing on my lap, its not my FAULT i go hard...stupid wentch!" Inuyasha replied angerly. He was hurt by her question and she could see it. She smiled brightly.

"Ohh Inuyasha..I love you more than life itself...I thought I was going to loose you for good tonight when Kikyo showed up..and I couldnt bare the thougtht of you leaving me." she said warmly, soo full of happiness that her smile almost split her face in two. Inuyasha eyed her wary, still hurt by her accusation.

"Really?? You really love me Kagome? You arent mad that we are mated? Your actually glad that we are bound together?" He asked.

"Yes Inuyasha I love you..I am glad Im your mate and that we are bound together...are you?" she asked.

"Ohh Gods yes..." he sighed as he pulled her face to his and kissed her fiercely. Kagome giggled in his mouth at the possesivness in that kiss.

"And what soo funny wentch?" Inuyasha mocked growled.

"You look soo cute when you get possesive." she replied and giggled more when he growled louder and carried her to the bank of the hot spring and laid her down on it covering her with his own body.

"Good cause thats just the way I am and you just better get used to it now cause that aint changing..your MINE and only MINE." he growled as he slide deeply into her with one thrust.

"Yes Inuyasha..YOURS...and only YOURS..as your MINE as well and only MINE." she cried out in pure bliss as he stroked within her, filling her, loving her.

"Damn straight woman." Inuyasha growled as he made love to his mate, knowing without a doubt that she loved him as much as he loved her. He was a very happy Half dog demon.
