A/N: Here is part 2: Indemnify. There is only one more chapter after this one. I hope you enjoy.
Oh and when I posted this previously someone asked why Sesshomaru is included in this part after all the bad blood between him and InuYasha. There are two reason. The first being blood. The fact that they are brothers give him this right and second though not mentioned up until InuYasha left with Kikyou they had been sharing a truce of sorts.
Dislcaimer: Still don't own InuYasha and will not make any money from this...
“Oi watch where you’re going runt.” InuYasha said.
To everyone’s surprise except InuYasha’s Shippou began to growl. InuYasha removed Kagome from him and looked at her. “Stay here. Shippou and I have to talk. I promise I won’t be long and then you and I are going to go have a talk of our own okay?”
Kagome wasn’t sure what was going on but nodded. Everyone watched from inside as InuYasha stood a few feet from Shippou and waited. The kit jumped at him and InuYasha didn’t even try to dodge as his claws raked across his cheek. Kagome made to go outside but Sango stopped her.
“They have to work this out on their own.” She said softly.
InuYasha remained where he was as Shippou’s fox fire singed him and his undershirt. Shippou attacked InuYasha over and over until he was on the ground panting, and the whole time InuYasha allowed it without making a move to stop him. Blood ran from scratches on his face and chest.
InuYasha went to his knees. “You finished?”
The kit looked at him. “Don’t you ever hurt her like that again.” He said fiercely before bursting into tears.
Kagome watched as InuYasha picked up the young fox youkai and carried him to the hut. She could see he was exhausted. “You’ll take care of the kid right? He really wore himself out.”
“Of course.” Sango replied.
“Grab your bag koishii.” InuYasha said.
Kagome grabbed her bag as well as his sword. She handed it to him and he slipped it into his sash so that it once again rested at his hip. He shouldered her bag and took her hand as they walked away together.
“InuYasha what was that about with Shippou?” She asked.
“What I did, leaving you, promise or not went against all of me that is youkai and Shippou knows it. A youkai does not leave his mate.” InuYasha explained. “I deserved more than what he did. I bet after we’ve had some time alone Kirara will come after me too. She just understands that right now we need to be together more than I need to be punished.”
“But I don’t blame you. I don’t want you to be hurt. I understand why you left...” Kagome protested.
“Doesn’t matter.” He interrupted. “It’s their right and I won’t deny them. Sango and Miroku either it they decide to come after me. You’ll just have to trust me on this one and promise me that when Sesshomaru shows up and he will, that you will not interfere. I came back and you accepted me so he won’t kill me, but he is going to kick the shit out of me and I deserve it so promise me.”
“I can’t...” She replied. “I love you. It was my choice...”
“And this is mine.” InuYasha countered. “I have to earn my honor back koishii. I won’t be worthy of you again until I do. Please.”
“I promise.” She said softly.
They arrived at the spring and InuYasha began to undress. Kagome felt her heart begin to race as she stared at him. He was so beautiful. “Come to me.” he said as he entered the water.
She quickly stripped off her clothes and joined him. He held her and kissed her deeply. “I didn’t know what I was going to do without you.” Kagome whispered. “I tired to be strong for our baby but I was so lonely and afraid. I love you so much. I’m so glad you’re here.”
He raised her head and looked into her eyes. “Kami, how I love you.” he breathed. “I would have found a way to crawl out of hell to return to you. You are everything to me, my reason for living and I swear that nothing, will take me away from you again. Become my mate, allow me to give you all of myself for all time.”
“Yes.” Kagome cried. “Please.”
InuYasha stood with Kagome in his arms, her legs wrapped around his waist. He stepped out of the spring and went to his knees, placing Kagome gently onto the ground. She pulled his weight down on top of her and kissed him desperately.
He trailed soft nips along her jaw, and down her neck. Gentle hands sought his ears. InuYasha growled softly dragging his fangs against her skin until he captured on of her pert nipples in his mouth. He sucked hungrily and she cried out.
“Inu... Onegai.” She pleaded. “Just make love to me... I need you. I need to feel you inside me.” Tears filled her eyes. “I thought I would never feel you again, please.”
InuYasha lifted his head and looked into the eyes of his beautiful miko. He licked the two tears that he escaped down her cheeks. “All right my koishii.”
He entered her with a single sure thrust and a ragged groan tore from him to match her cry of pleasure. She clung to him tightly as he rocked against her. He filled her with long tender strokes as their lips met time and again. Her legs wrapped around him pulling him more deeply into her even as he pulled away.
As she urged him onward with her body his pace increased and this time when his youkai rose up inside him, he set it free. Kagome gasped as she found herself blanketed in his youki. She could feel him inside her drawing out her aura and tying them together.
A sense of completion filled her and above her InuYasha closed his eyes. “My mate... my Kagome.”
What had begun tender turned into something far more primal as he drove them both toward their release. Her nails made shallow gashes in his back as wondrous tension swelled within them both. Her legs slid down his calves and his movements became hard, deliberate, with the single purpose of bringing her to her climax.
Kagome moaned loudly with each thrust until finally she came crying out his name. “Inu... Yasha...”
InuYasha could hold back no longer as she gripped him from the inside and her name fell from his lips as an exhalation, a benediction to his life, his salvation. He kissed her neck softly as they both lay panting. Her body trembled beneath him.
After a long moment he kissed her and rolled his hips letting her know that they were far from finished and her response was a contented sigh as she reached up and stroked his ears.
Kagome was sleeping soundly exhausted as much from their activities at the spring as from all the restless nights she spent without him. InuYasha slipped away from her and soothed her back into a deeper sleep with a soft growl. He had someone waiting for him outside.
He stepped out into the night and looked to the ground at his feet. “I’m ready.” he said to the fire cat. “Let’s go. I don’t want to wake her up.”
Away from the village Kirara transformed and he waited. She hissed at him and her fur rose. InuYasha stood firm and she charged at him. He groaned as she knocked the air from his lungs. Slowly he came to his feet again and this time she locked her jaws around his clothes and threw him into the trees.
InuYasha forced himself to his feet and limped back into the clearing, his left arm hanging uselessly at his side and his right clutching his ribs. Kirara went after him one more time knocking him to the ground and holding him there with paws on his shoulders, claws digging into his skin.
Her hot breath stung his eyes as she pressed her face to his making her point as clear as if she had spoken. She moved off him and he took an inventory of his injuries. His left arm was definitely broken in several places as well as most of his ribs on that side, from his impact against the tree. His hip was bruised badly and his knee was out of place. He tried to stand but found it impossible.
Kirara took the back of his shirt in her jaws and dragged him back to the village leaving him in front of Kaede’s hut. She changed into her smaller form and mewed softly nuzzling his face. “Thanks.” InuYasha said softly. “I won’t fuck up again.”
Kirara went into the hut and Kaede looking quite tired came out and saw him laying there. “I will get the necessary supplies.” She said and went back inside.
Miroku appeared several minutes later standing over him. “Shippou informs me that all of us have the right to show you just what we thought of your leaving. I am assuming Kirara just took her turn and that she woke me so that I might help Kaede.”
“The kid’s right.” InuYasha told him. “You, Sango, hell even Kaede and Myouga can have a shot at me if you want it. I won’t stop you. I hurt her and I deserve whatever comes to me for that, but nothing any of you do is even going to come close to what Sesshomaru is going to do when he comes.”
Kaede had appeared while InuYasha was speaking. “Instead of knocking sense into you I would have you lead the village men on the hunts to prepare for the coming winter.”
“Done.” InuYasha agreed. “Anything else? Got another rosary you want to put on me?”
“I think you will punish yourself far worse than any thing I could do to you.” Kaede replied. “Now young monk help me move him inside.”
Kagome stirred and noticed Kaede tending someone. She sat up and realized that InuYasha wasn’t beside her because it was him Kaede and Miroku were hovered over.
“Go back to sleep koishii.” InuYasha said.
Kagome ignored him and went to his side. The entire left side of his body from his elbow down to his thigh was a deep purple and his arm was clearly broken.
“InuYasha, what happened?” She demanded.
“Nothing I didn’t deserve.” He replied.
“He will be fine child.” Kaede assured her. “His arm in two days I would venture and his ribs by tomorrow night. The bruising should be gone before midday.”
“See it’s nothing.” InuYasha said. “You should go back to bed.”
Kagome shook her head and insisted that she be allowed to help Kaede finish treating him.
The next day he sat outside not able to do much else as much as his leg ached and waited to see who would come next. Miroku approached with his staff and rapped InuYasha in the head with it several times.
“Is that all?” InuYasha asked.
“For Kagome’s sake I have decided that you will help me build a house for Sango and I to live in once we are married. A one room hut will not accommodate the many children she has agreed to bear.” Miroku told him. “Once you have recovered we will discuss it further.”
InuYasha nodded. He knew that Miroku was letting him off the hook. The monk knew that he would have helped him build a house anyway. “So should I be on the look out for Hiraikotsu?”
Miroku laughed. “I would not want to be you right now my friend even if it would mean I was mate to the lovely Kagome.”
“She’s that pissed huh?” InuYasha questioned.
“If it is any consolation I think she intends on waiting until you are fully recovered.” Miroku offered.
After Miroku’s warning InuYasha was surprised when Sango approached him while Kagome was off training with Kaede. She sat beside him and folded her hands in her lap. At first the prospect of knocking InuYasha around with her hiraikotsu had seemed like a good one and something he deserved, but the more she thought about it she realized that Kagome wouldn’t want that no matter what he had done. So instead she decided simply to tell him what she thought of his actions.
“Kagome is like my sister. She was the first girl not to think me strange because I was a taijiya and make no mistake you are not the only one who would give their life for her. She is the kindest, most generous, and forgiving person I have ever known and what you did to her was beyond wrong.” Sango said her voice carefully controlled. “Had you not returned she never again would have been the Kagome I grew to consider my family.
“Miroku and I found her one night at the springs. She was with Kirara and had fallen asleep. Miroku was going to carry her back to Kaede’s only she woke and...She at first thought he was you. It was the only time I heard happiness in her voice while you were gone... When she realized it was Miroku I couldn’t bear to see the broken look in her eyes and her forced anguished laughter broke my heart. She apologized and ran.
“If she can forgive you then so can I but I will not forget and if you ever hurt her like that again I don’t know if even Kagome will be able to convince me to leave you alive. She deserves happiness, for all that she has done, all that she has sacrificed. Her own happiness has always meant nothing to her as long as your were happy and I expect... No I demand that from this day forward you think of her first, that you devote yourself solely to her wishes and giving her all the love that she deserves.”
InuYasha looked at the exterminator. “She will be loved and cherished. There is nothing I won’t do to see her happy and I will be spending the rest of my life atoning for what I have done to her.”
Sango rose. “Good. Just keep in mind that a taijiya does not make idle threats.”
InuYasha watched one of the strongest women human or youkai that he had ever come across walk away. He got off light and he knew that it was because of Kagome. Sango and Miroku knew that it would hurt her to see him injured. Too bad Sesshomaru wouldn’t care about that.

Behind them the reed mat of the hut was ripped from the door as Shippou tore into the room. “I heard...” he was cut off as he ran straight into a towering mass of red and silver.“Oi watch where you’re going runt.” InuYasha said.
To everyone’s surprise except InuYasha’s Shippou began to growl. InuYasha removed Kagome from him and looked at her. “Stay here. Shippou and I have to talk. I promise I won’t be long and then you and I are going to go have a talk of our own okay?”
