Inuyasha closed his eyes and began to pray “Kami, I know I don’t deserve it but I’m asking for your help. I’m asking that you help Kagome through this. Please don‘t take her away. I am not asking just for me but also for Shippo. She like a second mother to him, taking her away would throw him over the edge. She’s the rock that‘s holds us together. Without her I wouldn‘t have the strength that I have now, I wouldn‘t be the Hanyou I am now. I don‘t even think I‘d be alive.” Inuyasha paused and swallowed the lump in his throat. “She showed me compassion, love, understanding and patient, for all that and more I am in her debt. She gives us all the strength to go on, no matter how rough life gets. I’ll do anything you ask, if you just help her through this.”

Kagome Dream

Kagome fell to her knees; she had been walking in darkness, for what seemed like and eternity. The tears that had been threatening to spill finally broke loose and ran down her cheeks. ‘Inuyasha, where are you? I’m scared.’

“She showed me compassion, love, understanding and patient, for all that and more I am in her debt…” Inuyasha’s voice broke into her thoughts.

“Inuyasha?” Kagome called out drying her eyes and looking around but still only saw black. ‘I have to keep going, there’s gotta be a way out.’ She thought standing back up and began walking. That’s when she saw it a bright white light, it was warm and calling to her, so she began to follow it.

“Kagome..” Inuyasha called. She spun around and there he was, he held out a hand and smiled. He gave her a warm loving smile, she smiled back and began running to him, but the light called again. She stopped and looked back at it then back at Inuyasha. “Please don’t leave me.” Inuyasha said. “I need you…we both do.” When he said this Shippo appeared by his side with a toothy smile.

Tears flowed down her cheeks and she ran into Inuyasha’s arms. “Take me home.” She whispered into his shoulder.

“Chi chi?” Shippo called slowly waking up.

“Hey musuko…nice nap?” Shippo nodded and jumped into his arms. “Why don’t you go get cleaned up I’m sure dinner will be ready soon.” Shippo again nodded and then ran out the room.

Inuyasha let out a sigh “Kagome…” he said taking her hand in his. “Please don’t leave me.” He continued kissing her hand. “I need you…we need you.” He added swallowing another lump in his throat. Her fingers slowly began moving, then a groan was heard. “Kagome?” His eyes shot up to her face, her eyes slowly began to open.

“Inuyasha?” She said her eyes lit up as they fell on him.

He couldn’t move, he sat there shocked, his Kagome was…awake…alive. The only thing he could think to do in that moment was embrace her, so he did. He pulled her to his chest and wrapped her securely in his arms. Silent tears ran down her cheeks, while Inuyasha lipped a silent thank you to Kami.
