Kagome had fallen asleep on the way back. She wasn't really sure what time it was when she woke up to Inuyasha calling her name.

“Kagome… are you awake?” he asked.

“Hmm…?” Her voice was sleep-clouded.

“Wake up… we're about ten minutes from New York City, and then another fifteen minutes until we get you home,” Inuyasha informed her.

“Oh… I'm awake…” Kagome yawned. “What time is it?”

“Almost one…”

“Are you shittin' me?” She still sounded half asleep. The way she said it made Inuyasha laugh.

“No, I'm not shittin' you…” Inuyasha laughed again.

“Master Naraku, we will stop them before they get into the city,” Kanna informed her master.

“Great news Kanna.”

Kagura snorted.

“What Kagura? Do you not think I will do away with that… dog?” Naraku sneered.

“Yeah just like last time when he was a dog? He kicked your ass last time… just because he is human this time don't mean anything. He still has the Tetsusaiga… even though he doesn't know it's secret. And he still has that wench Kagome,” Kagura said.

“You are very disrespectful, Kagura. You will stop him from entering the city, and kidnap Kagome. She will not interfere this time,” Naraku sneered. “Now go and stop them. Bring the wench back to me… make sure Inuyasha follows you. And Kagura,” she turned to look at Naraku, “don't disappoint me or you will go back to the dungeon for a month.”

Kagura turned around and made a face that resembled a five-year-old's when she gets mad at her parents for saying no to her. “Of course not Master Naraku.”

“Good.”

A gust of wind stopped Inuyasha's car before it entered the city. “What the—” he started.

“Inuyasha, you will give me the wench you are riding with… Kagome,” a woman with dark red eyes said. She looked familiar, but Inuyasha just couldn't put a name to the face.

“Like Hell I will!” he yelled.

“Master Naraku wishes to have her. You will give her to me, and your life will be spared.”

“Who the Hell are you?” Inuyasha asked.

“I am Kagura. Do you not remember me, Inuyasha? You were the one who brought me back… not on purpose, but all the same it was you.” Kagura whipped her feather and another gust of wind pushed him back. “The girl.”

“Um… excuse me but not going with you!” Kagome shouted.

Inuyasha turned to Kagome. “Do you know who she is?” he asked.

“No… but she looks really familiar…” Kagome said.

“Yeah I thought she did too…”

“The girl. Now! I will fight you for her… but I think it would be safer for your health to just give her to me,” Kagura yelled.

“Kagome, get in the car,” Inuyasha mumbled to Kagome.

“OK,” she whispered back.

Kagome got in the car at the same time Inuyasha did. “Who the Hell is she?” Inuyasha asked.

“Oh yeah ask me…”

“Well you are the only other person to ask.”

“Yeah…”

Inuyasha took off and entered the city. Kagura couldn't be seen, but Inuyasha and Kagome knew she was still back there.

Kagome's cell phone rang. “Hello?”

“Hey sis. What's wrong?” Sota asked.

Hi everyone! Sorry this chapter is so short! It should be longer since I didn't update yesterday, but I wasn't home yesterday… I was swimmin' with my parents, and both of my brothers came too.
