Chapter 2: To Much Packing To Do and So Little Time

After Kay left her daughter's room she walked down the hall to her own room. ~~~~~Meanwhile back in Kagome's room~~~~~ Kagome let out a sigh, before making her way over to her walk in closet. She opened the door to her closet and walked to the back of the closet she looked around for a few minutes before spotting the two pink and green duffle bags she was looking for and the 6 matching suitcase stored on a shelf in the way back of her closet. She bent down and grabbed the two big duffle bags from the shelf and exited her closet setting the two duffle bags on her floor next to her bed. After completing that task she went back into the closet to retrieve the 6 suitcases from the shelf underneath the shelf she stored her duffle bags on and also brought them out of the closet, but instead of setting them next to her bed on the floor she set them on top of the bed. After making sure she retrieved all of her duffle bags and suitcases she began to pack her things. She grabbed the larger of the two duffle bags and returned back to her closet. She set to work adamantly taking her clothes from the hangers and neatly folding them into her duffle bag. After about twenty minutes she had all her clothes back in the two duffle bags and two of her suitcases. The girl had a lot of clothes what could she say. After making sure she had all of her clothes pack and ready to go she grabbed her shoe basket. She grabbed the shoe basket and placed it out side of the closet door and began picking up all of her flip flops, high heels, tennis shoes, boots, fashion designed shoes, and her flats into the basket. After what seemed like forever she had all of her shoes she owned loaded into the huge pink basket. Giving her closet another once over making sure she grabbed every shoe she place the pink lid on top of the basket and locked it to make sure none of her shoes would be lost. She placed the basket full of shoes by her bedroom door and grabbed another suitcase from on top of her bed. She packed all the other remaining things in her closet before shutting the door and buckling the suitcase shut. She grabbed another of her suitcases from her bed and made her way over to her dresser. Pulling out the gores she emptied all her undergarments and socks into the suitcase. Then she grabbed all of her swimsuits and shorts from the second drawer the last drawer had all her winter clothes stored. She loaded her hoodies, scarves, gloves, hats, jeans, sweats, and long sleeve shirts into the suitcase with her other clothes. She returned the drawer back into the dresser and then began to clean off the top of her dresser. She opened another compartment in the suitcase and began putting her notebooks, pens, picture albums, and her knickknacks’ into the suitcase. After completing the task of completely emptying her dresser top and inside she buckled that suitcase also and set it aside and grabbed another suitcase from the bed. She walked into her bathroom and opened the drawers and cabinets. She grabbed her robes, towels, washcloths. and pajamas and put them into the suitcase. She them opened the three drawers and grabbed her make up shampoo, conditioner, body wash, scrubbers, brushes, combs, her blow dryer, hair straighter, curl iron, and all her other necessities and placed them into her suitcase with the towel and other things. After emptying the drawers completely she closed the cabinets and shut the drawers then walked over to her sink and opened her medicine cupboard. She grabbed her Tylenol, pain relievers, and her Midol out and placed them into the suitcase. Also grabbing her water cup toothbrush toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash, she also placed them into the suitcase. She then opened the drawers in the cupboard by her sink and grabbed her toilet tissue, tampons and other necessities also placing them into the suitcase. She walked over to her shower opened the door and grabbed her shaver, shaving cream, face wash, and body soap placing them into the same suitcase as the rest of her stuff from her bathroom. Making sure she grabbed everything out of her private bathroom she closed the door with a silent click and the buckled the suitcase as she did the other two times and place that suitcase to the side with the rest of her belongings. Finally she grabbed the last suitcase from her bed and kneeled down opening a drawer that was attached to her bed she grabbed all of her extra blankets, pillowcases, sheets and her extra pillows. After making sure she had everything from her drawer under her bed she closed it and began to remove her bedding from her bed. She removed her pink silk blanket and neatly folded it up place it into her suitcase, then she pulled her green Satan sheets and folded them up neatly and placed them into her suitcase. After folding her sheets she removed her pillows from her bed placing them into the suitcase along with her other bedding. She quickly buckled that suitcase and set it to the side with the others. She then scanned her room to see if she forgot anything. It seemed she grabbed everything except for her laptop, iPod, alarm clock, radio, flat screen TV, books on her bookcase, her desk top dell computer, her landline phone, her CDs, DVD’s in the case next to the bookcase, and her DVD player. She decided she needed to pack those things as well so she walked over to her bedroom door and opened it before exiting to go and get some boxes from down stairs to pack the rest of her things in. As she walked down the hall she noticed her little brother Souta's door was open to his room. She looked in as she walked by and seen her father and Souta packing all of Souta's belongings as well. "So it seems everyone is packing then, she thought to herself." Kagome made it to the staircase and started to descend the stairs. About halfway down the stairs she saw her mother. "Hello Dear, how is your packing coming along?" "I have everything packed except for what is on my computer desk and my bookcase and night stand." "I came down here to get some boxes to finish packing do you know if there are any left mom. Asked Kagome?" "Check on the deck dear, I do believe your father just brought some more home for us to pack." "Okay thanks mom." Kagome smiled at her mom before heading towards the front door to get some boxes from off the deck. She opened both the main door and the screen door before stepping outside. It was beautiful out of course it would be because summer had just begun. Kagome looked around for a couple of moments before spotting the piles of boxes on the deck as her mother said there would be. She bent down and grabbed 5 boxes before she began to head back inside she heard someone call her name. "Kagome" Kagome turned to the direction she heard her name being called. Standing by her driveway stood her friends Saya, Yuki and Hogi. "Hey Guys" "Hey Kagome what you doing, asked her friend Saya." "Getting these boxes so I can finishes packing, replied Kagome." ""Packing for what, you going on a vacation asked Hogi." "No Guy I um...well you see... I'm a... I'm Moving, Kagome blurted out." "What!" All three of friends exclaimed at the same time. "What do you mean you’re moving, asked her friend Yuki?" "Where to asked, her friend Saya?" To say her friend were surprised was an under statement they were shocked out of their wits their best friend sine k-g was moving. "Tokyo, Kagome answered sheepishly." "Tokyo asked a voice from her left." Kagome spun around quickly recognizing the voice." "Drayton" "Kagome is it true you’re moving he asked with hurt present in his voice." "Ah we'll leave the two of you alone, but we'll be back Kagome okay Saya offered." "Okay thanks yeah okay see you guys later." Her friends took off walking back down the street they came leaving Kagome alone with Drayton. "Well... um ... Dray you see... I um... well.... I didn't know about this at all they sprung it on me." "Kagome what will happen to us our relationship?" "I don't know" "I see" "Dray no it’s not like that I want to be with you and all, but long distance relationships never last." "So you’re breaking up with me?" "We just started dating Kagome not even two weeks ago and your moving away his fucking sucks." "No it’s not like that at all I don't want to break up, Kagome said while tears began to roll down her face." "Then tell what the problem is?" He was confused if she wasn't breaking up with him but yet she did long distance relationships never last what exactly was she trying to say to him then? "I don't want you to feel bound to some girl in Tokyo if you met another girl you like Kagome whispered." "What are you crazy there is no one else but you Kags you have nothing to worry about all I want is you." "But we'll never see each other." "So Tokyo isn't that far from here I could come and see you and you could come and see me." "I know but what if you get tired of me." "Kagome don't be stupid I could never get tired of you babe, your the only girl I have ever like since I moved here and now that I finally got you I wish to keep you." "Kagome smiled bright at his confession." ("So I wasn't the only one that like him for so long he likes me to that’s so sweet.") "Kagome if you want to be with me I’m sure we can make this happen." "I can call you everyday if you would like." "Would you really Dray." "Of course Kagome I would do anything to be with you even if I only get to hear your voice it’s worth it to me." Kagome smiled, ran and threw her arms around him giving him a loving embrace. He was so sweet to be willing to do all that for her. Dray returned the smile and gladly accepted her embrace. They stayed like that in each others arms for a while which seemed like forever before pulling away. Dray reached down and grabbed Kagome's chin tilting her head up. She smiled at him, and that’s all it took before he captured her lips in a sweet passionate kiss. They shared that kiss which felt like an eternity to them before pulling away to only fill the lungs with so much need oxygen. She smiled at him again then hugged him tight. "I love you Dray thank you." "As I love you too Kagome always and forever." He held her tightly for a few moments before she pulled away. She smiled up at him with a sad smile. "I’m sorry Dray but as much as I don't want to leave you right now I need to go finish packing so can I call you later after I’m done." "Of course babe, go finish what you need to do; ill be waiting for you to call." "Thank you I’ll be sure too." With that said she turned around waving good bye as he himself turned around heading down the street waving goodbye. Kagome smiled and place her hand over her heart. "He so understanding that’s why I love him, she whispered to no one but herself." She gathered the boxes she set down and walked back into the house and up the stairs to her room to finish packing the rest of her things. **********Two Hours Later*********** After two hours of none stop packing Kagome sat upon her mattress with boxes, suitcases, duffle bags, and baskets sitting on the floor around her. All of her shelves were empty. She sat on her bed for a while before remembering she promised to call Drayton when she was done. She reached into her pocket of her pink hoody and retrieved her pink razor phone flipping it open she dialed 2175395 (A/N This is not a real number so please don't try and call it thanks ) the phone rang two times before it was picked up. "Hey Babe" "Hey" "You finish packing all ready?" "Yeah" "That’s good it didn't take you to long, but I was still waiting for you to call so what are you doing?" "Nothing too much just sitting here on my empty mattress." "Oh really why is that?" "Because I’m tired I’m starting to wish I didn't pack my bedding away all ready." "How come" "Because I’m tired duh." "Hey don’t be cranky with me." "I'm sorry Dray so um what are you doing?" "Thinking about you." "Oh really why would you being doing that and what exactly are you thinking about?" "What are you wearing?" "Ha-ha" "Enough with your joke seriously what are you thinking about?" "I all ready told you what your wearing." "So what are you wearing?' "Clothes" "Be more pacific then that." "Okay I’m wearing a pink and green thong with a matching bra, a pink shirt with green strips and a pink and green stripped skirt with matching pink and green flip flops and you?" "Boxers" "What color?" "Blue" "Why did you want to get in them or something?" "Dray" "What Kagome I was being serious," "I want you" "I know then why did you say Dray?" "I don't know you just surprised me with that is all." "Oh I see" "Yeah" "Kagome would you want to?" Asked Dray in a serious voice." "Would I want to do what?" "You know" "I know what?" Asked Kagome slightly confused. (A/N Kagome is a virgin and she might sound like she’s stupid but she’s not really experience into that category.) "I don't believe I’m fallowing what you’re asking." "Kagome do you want to have sex?" "Dray I’m not ready." "I see" "Well I thought I would ask you." "Why" "Because I want to be with you damn it Kagome I wanted to be with you and be your first at everything." "I want to be with you too Dray but I'm just not ready for that." "Its okay babe I’m sorry I understand." "Thank you for understand Dray it means allot to me." "Yeah no problem but listen I’m kind of tired myself so I think I’m going to hit the hay so ill call you tomorrow or something." "Okay night then" "Night" "Bye" "Bye I love.... The other line went dead and Kagome didn't get to finish what she was saying so she hung up as well. She then decided to head down stairs to see what everyone was doing. As she made it to the last stair she seen her mom in the living room packing pictures, knickknacks’, and other things you find in a living room in boxes. She smiled when she noticed her daughter coming down the stairs, "Hello dear would you help me pack the rest this stuff up please." "Yeah sure mom, but where are dad and Souta?" "Your father and Souta just finished packing Souta's things and are now packing the kitchen stuff into boxes." "Oh I see so everything is about packed then?" "Yup all we have left is the furniture to move and pack the stuff up in the garage." "So you all ready finished packing your things to mom?" "Yes dear, everything is packed only this stuff out here needs to be packed then everything will be ready." "Okay" Kagome helped her mom pack up all the things in the living and dining room. The two of them spent about three hours packing everything in both the dining room and living room. Just as the two women finished packing Souta and Rai came from the kitchen looking completely exhausted after so much packing. "Hey Dad is the kitchen all packed?" "Yup everything is in boxes and ready to go." "We packed everything Kagome, Souta exclaimed with a wide grin on his face," Kagome smiled and ruffled the boy’s hair. "Good job Souta." Souta smiled and nodded at his sister compliment. "So I see you have changed your attitude about moving." "Yeah sorry about earlier dad, it just came off as a shock that’s all but then I thought about it and decided moving wouldn't be so bad this is a great opportunity to meet new people and I would still have my friends here and mom said I could keep in contact with them as much as I liked." "That’s great Kagome I’m proud of you, your growing up so fast sometimes its hard for me to remember your not daddy's little girl anymore." "Dad come on you know I’ll always be your little girl I’m just maturing is all." Rai smiled at his daughter and gave her a warm loving hug she was growing up to fast and he was just realizing it now. "Who is hungry?" "I am, everyone said in unison." "Great then ill get the keys since everything is packed we'll go out to eat." "Okay mom, come on Kagome lets go wait in the car." "Okay you little brat lets go." Kagome grabbed her little brother's hand and went out to her mom's 2007 black BMW and climbed into the back seat along with Souta. Rai and Kay came out shortly after. Kay handed her husband the key and got into the passengers seat. Rai climbed into the driver's seat starting the car and backing up out of the drive head to yang's family dinner. The family made to Yang’s dinner in record time and pulled into one of the empty parking places. The dinner was packed with cars lucky for the Higurashi family they were V.I.P. members of the dinner. The climbed out of the car and headed for the front doors. As they walked into the doors they saw people lined up in a very long line lucky for them they didn’t have to wait in a very long line because the V.I.P member’s line had three or four people in it. They place their orders and then were seated by a waiter. They sat and sipped on their beverages while waiting for their food to arrive. In a short record of time their food arrived in large platters served by the Owned Yang Hiusaki himself and friend to Rai Higurashi. “Rai my good friend longtime no see.” “Yang My good friend how have you and the Mrs., been?” “We are wonderful business is booming and in two weeks we’ll be opening another restaurant in Tokyo.” “What coincidence that’s where we are moving tomorrow, will we see in Tokyo then, asked Mrs. Higurashi?” “Hello Kay, Looking beautiful as always, what is this your moving to Tokyo that’s wonderful and yes I will be there a few weeks so do stop in and see me.” “Father got a promotion at Tashio Corp. that is why were moving to Tokyo, Kagome exclaimed.” “Why congratulations my old friend what is this promotion you have received from Tashio Corp?” “I have been promoted to main manager of sales.” “That is wonderful good luck to you my friend I hope this new opportunity brings you success but if you will excuse me I have other guests nice seeing you all.” “Thank you and as you my friend I’m glad to see you in good health.” “Well thank you now if you excuse me I will be going now.” Yang left to see to his other guests leaving the higurashi family to their meals. After finishing their dinner the Higurashi’s left the restaurant and went back to their home. It was getting quite late and so when they got home they all went to sleep in the living room with the spare blankets Mrs. Higurashi kept out for their last night in the house.
