Kikyo walked along a heavily wooded forest, only her soul collector's following gave her any company at all.
Suddenly without warning one by one her soul collector's explode in rapid succesion.
"What's happening to my soul collectors?" Kikyo asks herself. Suddenly her answer comes to her. "I see you've returned to finish me off Onigumo."
Kikyo looks ahead of her seeing the demon clothed in the baboon cloak.
"No priestess Kikyo. I haven't come to kill you...yet. I've only come to invite you to my new...lodgings." Naraku said with a smirk that visible underneath his mask.
"You monster do you really think that I believe that you come to me without some alterior motive." Kikyo said, with one quick motion she had drawn an arrow from her quiver and fired it at Naraku. Kikyo had a pleased expression on her face as she saw Naraku try to grab the arrow.
*Doesn't he know that's a sacred arrow. It will instantly purify him and destroy and part of his body that it touches.* Kikyo thought. Suddenly the small smile on her face was wiped away as Naraku caught her arrow and nothing happened.
"What's wrong Kikyo? Wondering why your sacred arrow didn't work. Well that's my little secret. Come and meet me at the Valley of Death...then all shall be revealed to you. Oh yes, one more thing. If you refuse, I have Kaede and will kill her if your not there on the eve of the second day." Naraku said as he started to disappear. "Farewell, my Kikyo."
"You monster!" Kikyo yelled as she readied another arrow but her anger faltered. *My arrow won't work against him anymore. But why?*
Kikyo was quickly pulled out of her thoughts as she saw demons come forth from the ground right in front of her. The demon's, Kikyo could sense, were already dead.
*Probably more of Naraku's doing. But I've got to get rid of these to demon's so I can go save Kaede.*
With that Kikyo fired her sacred arrow which vaporized a large number of demons. Kikyo launched three more arrows clearing the field of all the demons.
"Hmm looks like Naraku underestimated me. That is going to cost him dearly."
Kikyo started walking towards the end of the forest when she heard loud yelling behind her. When she turned to look back she saw all the demon's she had just killed running after her. Kikyo tried to run but when she turned back to the exit there were a bunch of humans in front of her brandishing weapons!
"Please move don't you see those demon's coming." Kikyo pleaded with the villagers not wanting them to get hurt. It was then that she realized that these villagers were the ones that were killed the day 'Inuyasha' attacked the village.
"No it can't be. What kind of sorcery is this?" Kikyo stammered. In that instant the humans and the demon's attacked her from both sides. Before Kikyo could react she heard the distinct humming of a boomerang. Suddenly the demon's closest to her were ripped to shreds by a Sango's Hiraikotsu crashing through the demon hordes. Followed by Kagome's sacred arrow, sacred suta's, and a red blade of energy she didn't know whom it belonged to. Then she heard an even more familiar sound.
"Wind Scar!" Inuyasha yelled as the votex of energy ripped through thed demon lines. Inuyasha and another fighter wearing a black cloak and all black assaulted the demon's with powerful attacks from their swords.
"Chaos Blade!" the masked fighter said as he too unleashed a powerful vortex of energy, similiar to Inuyasha's but red, which ripped a group of demon's to pieces.
Kikyo saw Kagome, and Sango riding Kirara just as Sango caught her Hiraikotsu in mid-air. They swooped down and Kagome extended her hand to Kikyo, which Kikyo took out of instinct, and lifted her onto Kirara.
"You okay?" Kagome asked.
"Y-yes I'm fine." Kikyo said as she looked at Inuyasha and the cloaked fighter decimating the demon's. Inuyasha decapitated one with his claws while slicing another with Tetsuiaga. Miroku joined the fray a second later and Inuyasha and the cloaked fighter jumped to the side with out even looking behind them at Miroku who was now opening his seal which kept his cursed hand covered up.
"Wind Tunnel!" Miroku yelled as he sucked up all the demons and the dead humans who had assaulted Kikyo. When he had sealed his wind tunnel back up Shippo climbed over his shoulder.
"This is getting way too scary." Shippo said, talking about the demons.
"I don't about scary but definetly tiring. That's the third attack we've run into this morning!" Kagome said as Kirara let them all of and transformed back to her little form.
"Yeah, I'm going to have to buy a new cloak after this." the stranger said revealing several tears in his cloak and many cuts and gouges in his chest, back, and arms.
"Oh my gosh. Here let me get those fixed up for you." Kagome said as she ran up to the man and made him sit down as she got out her first aid kit.
"I'm fine really. There not that deep."
"Just sit down and let me put some bandages on them!" With that the man cowered in fear as Kagome applied several bandages to his wounds. It was then that she saw that Inuyasha was behind the tree examining his own wounds. Kagome was surprised by the fact that Inuyasha wasn't all over Kikyo asking how she was and worrying about her.
"Inuyasha..." Kagome said as she looked at him.
"I'm fine why don't you go talk to him." Azrael said. "I'm going to talk to that priestess, see if she know's what's going on."
"Okay, umm you might want to get the details about her from Miroku she's...not really what she appears to be." Kagome said, not sure how to put it.
"She's a living doll. A soul in a clay body. The dead priestess Kikyo." Azrael said not missing a beat as he walked away leaving Kagome speechless.
When Kagome regained her composure she walked over to Inuyasha.
"Here let me put these on your wounds to let them heal faster." Kagome said expecting Inuyasha to argue as usual.
"Okay thanks Kagome." Inuyasha said not looking at her.

"Are you worried about her. Why don't you go see how she's doing?" Kagome suggested even though it filled her heart with dread.
"No. I know she's okay. I'll talk to her later. I don't need to talk to her now." Inuyasha said. He then looked at Kagome and she blushed at the way he looked into her eyes. "Kagome...I don't love her anymore."
