-Look here she comes now
Bow down and stare in wonder
Oh how we love you
No flaws when you're pretending-

"You can get off of me now." Inuyasha said. "He's gone."

"Oh sorry." Kagome said and moved to sit on the floor.

Inuyasha got up and heard a cracking noise. He winced as the pain grew. "Inuyasha I'm sorry I didn't know it hurt that badly." Kagome moved closer to him.

"How could being slammed into the floor repeatedly not hurt?" Inuyasha asked.

"Gomen." Kagome apologized again. She pushed Inuyasha back down on the ground and began to massage his back. "Does this feel better?"

"Yeah." Inuyasha practically moaned. It felt really good but he wasn't going to say anything.

Kagome couldn't help it anymore. For days she'd wanted to touch his ears. Not being able to hold it in any longer one of her hands strayed from his back to lightly touch his ear. She rubbed the base all the way to the top. She stopped when she heard Inuyasha growl.

Inuyasha was doing all he could not to moan aloud when Kagome started rubbing his ears. A content growl left his lips and he quickly flipped over so that he was lying on his back. Since Kagome was leaning on him to massage his back she fell on top of him.

"Sorry I didn't mean to touch your ears. They're just so fuzzy and I couldn't hel-"

Inuyasha cut her off when he pressed his lips against hers. It was something that had been building up inside of him. He almost regretted his actions but didn't when Kagome responded. Her hands grabbed his haori, gripping tightly while she unknowingly opened her mouth to him.

Inuyasha took advantage of the moment and slipped his tongue inside to caress hers. Slowly be began to reverse their positions until his body covered hers and he was straddling her hips. Kagome lifted her arms and wrapped them around his neck.

One of his hands rested on her waist while the other supported himself up so as not to crush her with his weight. His hand slowly made its way up to her breast. The kiss was broken and Inuyasha started kissing and licking her neck.

Inuyasha licked where her neck met her shoulder and gently bit down on her skin. His instincts had taken over him and he didn't realize what he was doing until Kagome called his name.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome called out to him. She snapped out of the daze she was in when she felt his fangs on her shoulder.

Inuyasha stopped and looked at her. He sat up and moved off of her. "Sorry." Inuyasha said.

"It's ok." Kagome said.

"Kagome, I-"

"I forgot that you were cooking so I came back to eat." Miroku walked in the hut. "Did something happen while I was away?"

"I was just about to cook." Kagome stood up to get the food. "I can make soup. It won't take that long."

"I'll get some water then." Miroku said.

"I'll help." Inuyasha offered. They each grabbed a bucket and left.

Kagome started to cut vegetables and meat while they were gone. She tried to do whatever she could so she wouldn't have to think about what had just happened. It was hard for her though. What was she going to do now? She couldn't ignore what happened.

"Did something happen while I was gone?" Miroku asked when they got to the river.

"I marked Kagome." Inuyasha said saying it as if he still didn't believe he did it.

"You did? I thought you weren't interested in her."

"I was attracted to her but I didn't want to admit it. I didn't even know it until just now."

"What happened?"

"My back cracked when I tried to get up and she massaged it for me. She started rubbing my ears and I rolled over to stop her but she fell on top of me. Next thing I know I was kissing her and reversed our positions. I didn't even realize what I did until she said my name." Inuyasha explained.

"Seems your instincts were acting for you." Miroku said.

"I couldn't control them. If my instincts are strong enough they'll take over." Inuyasha said.

"Maybe you should act on your feelings more often so they don't build up and release like they did. You've obviously denied what you've felt so far." Miroku said. "You better talk to her about that mark."

"I will eventually. Don't say anything." Inuyasha said. He sighed. "Why did I even talk to you about this?"

"But I'm honored that you confided in me." Miroku said.

"Quit being sarcastic you ass." Inuyasha threatened. They both filled up their buckets and left.

Later that night they all walked outside towards Miroku Otou-san's grave. They were hoping some kind of message would come up since nothing had happened earlier. "Do you think something will happen this time?" Kagome asked.

"Don't know." Inuyasha said. "Ask Miroku it's his Otou-san's grave."

"I don't know what's going on." Miroku said. "It's happened to you guys far more times than it has to me."

"Let's get to the grave before we start assuming things." Kagome said.

When they got to the grave they stood in front of it and just looked around. "I wonder if this is even it." Kagome said.

"I don't know. Maybe something will happen." Miroku said.

"I wonder if there's something we do that triggers the image." Kagome said walking closer to the edge of the hole. Her foot slipped and she started falling into the grave. Inuyasha and Miroku both grabbed onto each of her arms.

As soon as they did there was a flash of light and images ran through their heads. They each stayed still for a while letting the images sink in. They didn't even realize they were still holding Kagome until she went limp in their hands. They lifted her up and Inuyasha took her in his arms.

"Let's go back. I think the images are worse for her." Inuyasha said. "It gets worse each time it happens."

"Hai, we can always talk about the images tomorrow." Miroku said.

They quietly walked back to the hut. Inuyasha set Kagome down on a futon that was far from Miroku's. It wasn't that he didn't trust him but his youkai instincts got the better of him. He marked Kagome as his and it wasn't going to change. Only his death would remove the mark and he wasn't going to die anytime soon.

He still hadn't thought about what to do. He didn't even know how he felt about it. He didn't get much of a chance to think about it. Now was his chance. Too many thoughts were running through his mind at once to think about it though.

Inuyasha couldn't clear his mind to think so he laid down on the futon with Kagome. He wrapped his arms around her to keep her warm and yawned. All the recent events were starting to get to him.

~~~~~~~~~
`Awaken.'
"Who's there?" Kagome called out to the voice. She was in a dark place.
`Awaken and find the other.'
"What do you mean? What other?"
`Awaken.'
Kagome sat up and put a hand to her heart. She desperately gasped for air. Something about the dream made her feel like something bad was going to happen. Suddenly she was pulled down onto her back and pulled close to something breathing.
Turning around she noticed it was Inuyasha. She could faintly make out his ears in the moonlight. `Why is Inuyasha sleeping next to me?' She wondered. He usually only slept near her if they were in a tree or something. She thought it would be awkward to see him for a while because of what happened earlier.
She still didn't know what came over her. It was almost like her body took over her mind. She didn't know what to think. A wave of dizziness hit her and she felt nauseous. Sleep was what she needed at the moment. She could think later.
Rolling over to face Inuyasha she sighed and closed her eyes. Soon enough she fell asleep wrapped in his warmth.
~~~~~~~~~

Kagome was the last to wake up in the afternoon. She fell asleep as if she never had the dream with the voice. Although when she woke up she remembered. It was still echoing in her mind. `Awaken.' Was something inside of her sleeping?

"So you're finally awake."

She turned her head to look for the voice of whoever said that. "Inuyasha." She said and sat up.

"Its already the afternoon." Inuyasha said.

"I slept that late?" Kagome said shocked. "Why didn't you wake me?"

"You fainted last night after you almost fell into Miroku's Otou-san's grave." Inuyasha said. "I carried you in here and put you in bed."

"I woke up last night and was in bed. You were sleeping next to me." Kagome blushed.

"You woke up last night?" Inuyasha asked. He tried to hide his arrogant smile at her blush.

"Hai, I had a weird dream." Kagome said. "Ano...about yesterday..."

"We need to talk about that." Inuyasha said.

"Talk about what?" Miroku asked as he walked in the room with breakfast.

"Talk about the images." Inuyasha sighed. At this rate he'd never get to talk to her. He was slightly relieved about the delay though.

"Ah, yes if I remember correctly I think I saw a village of slayers." Miroku said.

"Tajiya slayers." Inuyasha said.

"I remember seeing that and a big weapon of some sort. It looked like a boomerang." Kagome said.

"It's hazy but I think I saw that too." Miroku said.

"Where do we go next? I don't know where any slayer villagers are." Inuyasha said. "I barely woke up a week ago."

"I think there is a village a couple days from here, depending on our pace." Miroku said. "There is a well known tajiya village east of here."

"Won't they try to kill Inuyasha though?" Kagome asked. "We can't go there if he's going to be a target and I don't want to go without him."

"We'll have to risk it then. Maybe they won't notice Inuyasha is a hanyou." Miroku shrugged his shoulders.

Both Kagome and Inuyasha stared at him. "I think Inuyasha's ears give it away." Kagome pointed out as she lightly touched one.

A shiver went down Inuyasha's spine and he did his best not to growl. A little growl managed to escape his lips. Miroku noticed and tried his best not to laugh. He could understand why Inuyasha lost his control, especially since a light touch to his ears made that big of a reaction even when he tried to suppress it.

"Why are you smiling bouzo?" Inuyasha growled angrily.

"No reason." Miroku laughed.

Kagome cocked her head to the side not knowing what was going on. Ignoring it she just shook her head. "What are we going to do next?" She asked.

"First tell us about your dream and then we'll decide what we're going to do." Inuyasha crossed his arms and tucked them into his sleeves.

"What dream?" Miroku asked.

"Well, the same voice told me to awaken and find the other." Kagome said.

"Was that it?" Inuyasha asked.

"Hai, every time I ask it questions it never answers."

"Can you tell whose voice it is?" Miroku asked.

"No, I can only tell it's a woman. The voice seems familiar but I've never heard it before." Kagome explained. "It doesn't seem threatening."

"That doesn't mean you should let your guard down." Inuyasha said.

"Inuyasha is right." Miroku said. "We should eat first before deciding what actions to take."

"Hai." Kagome said.

-I feel helpless, waiting

Could this all be the end?

Coming down all at once

Am I losing you?

No way out

Until this all crashes down

I'll hold on

Into the darkness

Not knowing at all

Are you out there waiting?

Wondering about me

I've never felt so alone

As I do now

Hold on to me-
