Sesshomaru's Information

After eating breakfast everyone walked to the end of the hallway and into the room. It was a big and had lots of chairs. “This is the meeting room. No one can hear us outside the room.” Sesshomaru said.

Everyone took a seat. No one said anything until everyone was settled and comfortable. Inuyasha then explained the memory they just had. “I do remember that. It was years ago.” Sesshomaru said.

“These memories haven't shown us anything important yet.” Inuyasha said. He was getting tired of not knowing his past.

“I can see things are complicated for you and your companions. If I can help just let me know. You may stay in the rooms your occupying now. All I ask is for you not to meddle in my affairs.” Sesshomaru offered.

“Arigato.” Kagome smiled.

“You haven't changed a bit.” Sesshomaru said.

“Neither have you from what I can tell.” Kagome said. “Even though I don't know you now it feels like you haven't changed since the last time we met.”

“It's true. He hasn't.”

Everyone looked around for the owner of the new voice. Behind the desk in the back of the room was a young girl around Kagome and Sango's age, maybe even a little younger. She yawned and stretched before standing up and walking over to sit next to Sesshomaru.

“Allow me to introduce my mate, Rin.” Sesshomaru announced. “I forgot you were in here waiting.”

“Waiting?” Inuyasha asked. He hadn't even smelled her scent when they walked in.

“I asked her to wait in here so I could introduce her to you and vice versa.” Sesshomaru said. “Rin this is my half brother Inuyasha, his mate Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo.”

“Brother? Mate?” Rin said. “I thought you didn't know where he was.”

“I didn't I just found him yesterday along with his companions, which reminds me, I never apologized for intruding on your baths.” Sesshomaru. “My sincerest apologies.”

“It's alright.” Kagome and Sango both blushed in response of the memory.

“You saw them bathing?” Rin asked angrily.

“They were intruding on my land. If the wind had not changed I would've smelled Inuyasha and looked for him instead of interrogating the women.” Sesshomaru explained calmly.

Rin walked up to Inuyasha and got really close to his face. She had a look of concentration on her face and finally smiled. “Yup your Sesshy's brother alright.” She said and moved back to sit next to Sesshomaru.

“Sesshy?” Everyone said.

“What? I like that nickname.” Rin said.

“Gomen ne Sesshomaru, I never expected you to have a mate.” Kagome apologized for her laughter.

“I do not blame you. For years I have lived without showing emotions, always seeming cold and heartless. One day on my pursuit to find Inuyasha I came upon Rin, wolves attacked her village, and left no one alive.” Sesshomaru explained. “As I was leaving I found Rin on the ground. I was going to leave and send a burying party but tenseiga pulsed for the first time. Compelled, I brought her back to life and she's lived in the castle ever since.”

“Tenseiga?” Inuyasha asked.

“A katana forged from our father's fang.” Sesshomaru explained. “He also left one in your possession. Tetsusaiga, but that will also be explained later.”

“What happened to Otou-san and my Okaa-san?” Inuyasha asked.

“Otou-san was the strongest of the Inu Youkai. He died protecting your Okaa-san. As you know many people are against the marriage of interracial marriages. They get more enraged when a hanyou is born. Otou-san loved your Okaa-san very much and wouldn't let either of them be killed. With the last of will he died taking them with him.” Sesshomaru explained.

“What about my Okaa-san?” Inuyasha asked.

“She died protecting you when you were five years old. I don't know the details though.” Sesshomaru explained. “Any other questions?”

“Do you possibly have any idea who our families are?” Kagome asked.

“That I don't know. The few times I saw you were either in the castle, here or in the forest where you usually met.” Sesshomaru said. “Most of the times Inuyasha was whining about some wolf named Kouga.”

“Jealous even then were you?” Miroku laughed.

“Shut up! I was not jealous!” Inuyasha yelled.

“But you were. Your growls gave it away. I never met the wolf but every time I saw you, you were sulking in a tree and refused to talk to Kagome, although she never did anything wrong.” Sesshomaru informed him. “Remember your instincts will carry out on your emotions if you don't control or ignore them.”

Kagome blushed when Sesshomaru mentioned instincts. She vaguely remembered what Inuyasha had told her. “Is something wrong Kagome? Your turning red.” Rin asked.

“No, nothings wrong. Its just a lot to take in.” Kagome covered up for the truth.

“That's enough for now. I have other matters to attend to. But before I get to that I have something I need to speak to Inuyasha with, privately.” Sesshomaru said. “You may explore the castle if you like.”

“Arigato for all your help.” Kagome said before they all left the room.

“Don't go too far!” Inuyasha told Kagome. She waved her hand at him before shutting the door.

“What do you need to speak to me for?” Inuyasha asked impatiently. He wanted to get to Kagome before she got too far.

Sesshomaru walked over to the side of the room. There was a small bookcase and above it was a katana plaque. He took the tattered looking katana and held it by its sheath. He handed it to Inuyasha.

“This is the tetsusaiga. Youkai cannot grab the sword by the hilt, preventing them from using it. The katana was specifically made for you. With one swing it can kill a hundred youkai as opposed to mine, which can heal a hundred people in one swing. How to use it, is for you to find out. Otou-san made our katanas oppose each other. Apparently he thought I would kill you out of spite because you're a hanyou. I have changed over time and have learned to over look blood being an issue, especially since Rin is my human mate.” Sesshomaru explained. “You may go, I can see your eager to get back to your mate.”

“I'm sure your mate needs `attending' to.” Inuyasha snorted and left the room. He placed the katana at his hip. He then sniffed the air to smell which direction Kagome went. Once he caught her scent he followed her trail.

Soon enough he found Kagome sitting down outside. She was walking around looking at the various flowers. She mostly just wanted to bask in the sun for a while. She missed just being able to lie down in the sun without any worries. It made her miss her family.

She gasped when Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her from behind. “Are you still mad about yesterday?” He asked.

“Yesterday?” Kagome asked unsure of what he was talking about. She placed her hands on his.

“The mark.” He said.

“To tell you the truth I hadn't really thought of it.” Kagome said.

“Then what's wrong?” He asked.

“Nothing, I was just thinking about my family.” Kagome said. “I miss them. I tried not to think of them, but I can't help it.”

Inuyasha turned her around and hugged her. It had been a long time since she'd last seen them. Even if they weren't her real family, she considered them to be. “We can always go visit them.” Inuyasha said.

“Really?” Kagome asked. “What about Sango and Miroku? I don't want to put off finding our memories for me.”

“I don't think they'd mind. If they want they can stay here and I'll take you.” Inuyasha said. “We all need a rest anyway.”

“Arigato Inuyasha.” Kagome buried her face into his chest trying not to cry.

“I'll talk to them later about it.” Inuyasha said. He grabbed her hand and led her to the side to sit down. He laid down and brought Kagome with him to rest her head on his chest.

“You really don't think they'll mind?” Kagome asked again. “I don't want to seem self-”

Inuyasha grabbed her chin and leaned up to give her a gentle kiss. “They won't mind. They'll probably enjoy the break.” He said.

Kagome blushed and brought her head down to lay on his chest, hoping he didn't see the redness on her face. Unfortunately for her he did see and he smirked. Good to know he could still get those reactions from her and that she didn't reject him. Things might work out for him after all.

After a little while of laying in the grass they both stood up to go inside. It was getting cold outside. Inuyasha could also smell Miroku and Sango nearby and decided to ask them about the trip back. “I'll meet you back in our room.” Inuyasha said.

Kagome nodded and began walking up the stairs. Inuyasha turned to his left down the hallway. Sango, Miroku, and Shippo were walking towards him. “Ah Inuyasha, we've discovered a training area. Sango decided to test her skills.” Miroku said.

“I can tell.” Inuyasha noticed the huge bump on his head.

“Where's Okaa-san?” Shippo asked.

“Use your nose.” Inuyasha said. He knew that Shippo was actually asking if it was all right to go see her.

“Hai.” Shippo said and began to sniff around for her.

“Was there something you needed?” Miroku asked.

“Kagome misses her family. Do you guys mind if we take a break and go visit them? If you don't want to then you can stay here and I'll take her.” Inuyasha said.

“I'd actually like to take a break. Every memory we take in is exhausting.” Sango said. “If its not too much trouble could we stop by my village too?”

“Might as well, its on the way. What about you Miroku do you want to stop by your village?” Inuyasha asked.

“No, my village plagues me with too many memories.” Miroku said as he rubbed his covered wrist.

“I guess I'll just have to talk to Sesshomaru about it.” Inuyasha said. “Like he'll care anyway.”

“It's nice that you met some family.” Sango said.

“Very lucky.” Miroku commented. “What was with the whole intended mate thing? Did Kagome not know?”

“No.” Inuyasha said. “I explained it to her last night.”

“I thought she knew.” Sango said. “That's why I never brought it up.”

“Yeah well thanks to Sesshomaru I already explained the situation a lot earlier than I had wanted to.” Inuyasha scoffed.

“I'll ask no further questions then.” Miroku said.

“I'm going to see to Kirara. She was sleeping in the gardens last time I saw her.” Sango waved and left.

“I think I shall follow her.” Miroku said lecherously. “Oh Sango, wait for me!”

Inuyasha shook his head and made his way to his room.

While Inuyasha was talking to Miroku and Sango, Kagome made her way to her and Inuyasha's room. When she reached the top of the staircase she saw Sesshomaru. “Hello Sesshomaru-sama.” She smiled.

“Kagome.” He nodded. “I take it my dumb witted brother explained all about the mating?”

Kagome blushed but nodded. “I made him explain to me yesterday before we went to sleep.” She said.

“Ah I see.” Sesshomaru said. “Have you decided to answer to his feelings?”

“I'm not really sure what his feelings for me are.” Kagome bent her head slightly.

“I can tell you that he must like you a lot to mark you purely on instinct. Inu youkai mate for life. Most can tell subconsciously who their mate will be when they first meet them. Even when he was younger he was quite taken with you. This is a serious matter for Inuyasha. As a hanyou he wasn't shown much love.” Sesshomaru explained.

“That's horrible.” Kagome said.

“It is. When he met you things began to change. He slowly opened up more and seemed much happier. You were the first to accept him as he is. I think that is why he has fallen in love with you, regardless of whether or not he admits it.” Sesshomaru said.

`In love with me?' Kagome thought.

“Okaa-san!” Shippo ran up the stairs and jumped into her arms.

“It seems the little one wants your attention.” Sesshomaru said and headed down the stairs.

“Arigato Sesshomaru. I'll think about what you said.” Kagome smiled in thanks.

Sesshomaru nodded his head and continued down the stairs. He saw Inuyasha and stopped. “Need something?” He asked.

“We're thinking about going to go visit Kagome and Sango's families.” Inuyasha said.

“You need no permission from me.” Sesshomaru said. He could sense he wanted to ask more. “If you wish when you get back you can stay here once again.”

Inuyasha nodded in thanks. He turned around to walk to his room when Sesshomaru caught his attention. “Inuyasha.” Sesshomaru said. Inuyasha turned around to face him. “Don't lose her again.” And with that Sesshomaru walked away.

Inuyasha thought about what he said. After a couple of minutes thinking he got what he meant. `Like I need him to tell me that.' He grumbled in his mind and walked up the stairs to his room.
