Plans For A Break

Kagome and Shippo were both unaware of Inuyasha's entrance into the room. “Come on Shippo. Let's both sit down.” Kagome said. That's when they became aware of Inuyasha.

 

He let out a string of curses as he was forced to the ground. “Damn subduing spell!” He yelled, trying to get up.

 

“Gomen Inuyasha I didn't know you were there.” Kagome said. She rushed to his side to help him. As soon as she knelt down next to him they both saw a white flash.

 

*********Memory*********

 

“Inuyasha! I have a present for you!” Kagome called out to him. She was in the forest calling for Inuyasha. She couldn't see him, which meant that he was sitting in one of the trees. It was too early for him to go home yet.

 

“What?” Inuyasha asked as he jumped down from a branch and right in front of her.

 

“Here!” Kagome said excitedly as she handed him a rosary. “It's for you. I made it myself.”

 

Inuyasha looked at the rosary. He really wasn't the type to wear jewelry but since Kagome took the time to make it he would take it. “For me?” He asked.

 

“Hai.” Kagome said. She moved closer and put it over his head moving his hair long hair out of the way. “It looks good on you!”

 

“A-arigato.” He said. He wasn't used to getting gifts.

 

“Hmm Kaede-sama said that if I said the right word then we can see something funny.” Kagome said. She tried to remember what the word was. “I think it was osuwari.”

 

Inuyasha then slammed to the ground face first. “What the hell?” He yelled. He tried to pull himself up but it wasn't working. Something was keeping him forced onto the ground.

 

“Inuyasha!” Kagome exclaimed and knelt down to help him up. “I wonder what happened. All I said was osuwari.”

 

Once again Inuyasha's face met with the cold earth below him. “Don't say that word! Kaede-baba put a subduing spell on the necklace!” He said.

 

“What? That's why she made me chant a spell and said `If you want to make Inuyasha stop trying to fight with Kouga and see something funny then say osuwari after you put it on him'.” Kagome remembered. “Gomen, I didn't mean to say it!”

 

“Just don't say it again!” Inuyasha yelled. Finally he was able to pull himself up again. He knew about subduing spells from Sesshomaru. He told him that if he were ever in trouble with a miko he should never let her put a subduing spell on him. He tried pulling the rosary off. “What the hell? Damn Kaede-baba!”

 

“Osuwari.” Kagome said again. “It's rude to call her that.”

 

“Get this thing off of me!” Inuyasha said from the ground.

 

“I don't know how to get it off!” Kagome said.

 

`Awaken'

“Okaa-san?” Shippo called out to her. “Inuyasha?”

 

“Gomen, Shippo.” Kagome said. “That was weird.”

 

“So that's how you got the stupid thing on me in the first place! You tricked me!” Inuyasha said. As the spell wore off he stood up.

 

“I didn't know! Kaede-sama told me to do it!” She gasped when she said the name. It was like she knew who she was even though she didn't.

 

“Who's Kaede?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“I don't know. I just said it.” Kagome said. “I guess I knew her when we were younger.”

 

“Well it seems like once we get back from visiting your family then we have someone to search for.” Inuyasha said.

 

“Really? They don't mind going?” Kagome asked as her eyes lit up with excitement.

 

“I told you they wouldn't. Sango wants to visit her family on the way.” Inuyasha said.

 

“That's great!” Kagome jumped into Inuyasha's arms and hugged him. She suddenly felt a wave of exhaustion.

 

Inuyasha hugged her back and before he knew it Kagome had fallen limp in his arms. Her even breathing told him she was asleep. He picked her up and carried her to the bed. The memories coming back were tiring, especially for Kagome.

 

“Keep your voice down.” Inuyasha warned Shippo.

 

“Hai.” Shippo said in a whisper. “What happened?”

 

“Nothing.” Inuyasha said. “Come on. I'll start teaching some basics on how to hunt.”

 

“Really?” Shippo said as hit tail wagged in anticipation.

 

“Yeah come on. We'll start slow.” Inuyasha said. Shippo jumped on his shoulder. Together they walked out of the room to go in the forest.

Kagome woke up later that evening. She looked around the room and noticed that she was alone. Standing up, she decided to find someone. She walked out of the room and down the stairs. She was about to continue going down the hall when she heard voices heading her way.

 

The front door opened and Inuyasha and Shippo both walked inside. They both stopped when they saw her. “I told you she would be awake.” Inuyasha said. “I know her better than you do.”

 

Shippo stuck his tongue out at him and hopped onto Kagome's shoulder. “Where were you two?” Kagome asked.

 

“Inuyasha took me tracking.” Shippo said. “He's going to teach me stuff.”

 

“Oh really?” Kagome asked as she patted his head.

 

“I figured I should teach him something.” Inuyasha said. “I'm the only other youkai around here even if I'm half.”

 

“That's so sweet.” Kagome leaned up on her toes and kissed him on the cheek. “Well Shippo how about we go explore the castle then? Inuyasha do you want to come?”

 

Inuyasha nodded and smiled once she turned her back. So she was happy that he was helping the runt. She even kissed him. Even if it was just on the cheek it was a start. She'd never been so bold before.

Later that evening everyone met in the dining room for dinner. Everyone sat in the same spots as last time and Rin even joined them. “We've decided to go visit Kagome and Sango's family.” Inuyasha said.

 

“When will you be leaving?” Sesshomaru asked.

 

“Leaving you just got here!” Rin shouted.

 

“We'll be back.” Inuyasha said. “We'll probably leave tomorrow first thing in the morning.”

 

“I see. Eager to leave are you?” Sesshomaru said.

 

“We're only doing this to take a break. We figured out someone else from our past. Someone named Kaede-sama.” Kagome informed him.

 

“Kaede?” Sesshomaru asked.

 

“Hai.” Kagome said. “Do you know her?”

 

“I don't know. The name does sound familiar. While your gone I'll look for her.” Sesshomaru said.

 

“Arigato Sesshomaru-sama!” Kagome smiled. “You've been so helpful. I wish there was something I could do in return.”

 

Sesshomaru just shook his head. “There's no need.” He said.

 

“But I insist. If there's every anything you need please let me know.” Kagome said.

 

“If you insist. I'll let you know when I think of something.” Sesshomaru said.

 

“How about after dinner us girls go take a dip in the hot spring?” Rin asked with a smile.

 

“That sounds great!” Kagome said.

 

“Hai!” Sango said.

 

“This time no guys will barge in either.” Rin giggled. “It's a closed off room. It's huge.”

 

“Sounds nice.” Kagome sighed.

 

The girls finished their meal quickly and hurried out of the dining area. They followed Rin down the hall. The hot spring was near the training room. Once they walked in Kagome and Sango looked around.

 

Rin was right. It was huge. There was a large hot spring in the middle of the room. The outside was opened with screened doors to keep the cold out. Rice paper stands were placed around the spring so if someone to walk in they would be covered. On the other side of the room were more mats for privacy when changing.

 

“This is great!” Kagome said.

 

“It's even better once you get in.” Rin said.

 

They all stripped themselves of their clothing and slowly sank into the hot spring. “This feels great!” Sango said.

 

“Hai.” Kagome agreed. She closed her eyes to let the warm water relax her.

 

“I wish I could do this every day.” Sango sighed. “I would be in heaven.”

 

“Yup, I love it!” Rin said. “It's so nice to have hot water whenever you want. The castle was built around this hot spring. That's why the back can be left open for when it's warm outside.”

 

“It must be great living in the castle.” Sango said.

 

“It's fun.” Rin giggled. “So when do you think you'll be back from your visit?”

 

“I don't know. I'm not exactly sure how long it took us to get here.” Kagome said.

 

“I don't know either.” Sango said. “We've been to too many places. I can barely remember where we are.”

 

“Ah I see. Things must be complicated for you guys.” Rin said.

 

“Hai-” Kagome began but was cut off.

 

“Miroku get away from that door!” They heard Inuyasha yell.

 

“I was just passing by.” They heard Miroku say.

 

“Passing where?” Inuyasha growled.

 

“I thought I'd look around.” Miroku said nervously.

 

“He was not! I saw him reach for the door handle.” Shippo accused him.

 

The girls rolled their eyes and got out of the hot springs. Whatever relaxation they could have had was ruined no thanks to Miroku and Inuyasha. They put on robes and tied them tight before walking out of the room.

 

Each of them glared at the guys and continued to their rooms. Once they were at the top of the stairs they split into their rooms with a goodbye for the night. A door slam was heard throughout the hallway.

 

Inuyasha and Miroku both sighed and walked up to their rooms.

 

Inuyasha walked into his room and found Kagome lying on the bed. She hadn't noticed that he'd come in or she'd probably cover herself up. Her robe was slightly open showing some cleavage and the flap at the bottom had also opened a little, showing a lot of her leg.

 

Quietly he snuck over and ran a hand up her revealed leg. Kagome shivered and sat up in a gasp when she felt it. Before she could scream and hit the pervert who was feeling her up she was cut off by a kiss.

 

Amber eyes met hers and she knew it was Inuyasha. She gasped when he dragged his claws to the inside of her thigh giving him the chance to slip his tongue inside, getting a taste of her. He missed the feel of her.

 

He slowly leaned over her, pushing her back down onto the bed, his hands never leaving her thigh. Instead he slowly inched his way up her leg. His other hand started to slowly make its way up to the top of her robe to open it more. All was going good until...

 

“What are you doing?”

 

Both Inuyasha and Kagome tore apart from each other. “Shippo!” Kagome said in surprise. “When did you get in here?”

 

“Just now.” Shippo said.

 

“What were you doing?” Shippo asked.

 

“Nothing runt.” Inuyasha said. He reached over to Kagome and pulled her robe closed. “I'd change if I were you. There's a sleeping yukata in the bathroom for you.”

 

Kagome blushed and quickly ran into the bathroom. Inuyasha watched her go before lying down on the bed. “Are you sure you were doing nothing?” Shippo asked.

 

“I'm sure! Go to sleep already!” Inuyasha growled.
