Chap.2- Kagome's First Shift

"Come on Kagome. Sesshoumaru said if you want to work here this is the time to show it." Sango grabbed Kagome's arm and helped her up on the bar. Kagome listened to the beat of the song for a minute. "Do you want to lead Sango or am I going to?"

"Which ever you prefer…" With a smile Kagome put her hand on Sango's hip, pushing her body against her back. Sango moved slowly making sure she was going right. "Let's go Sango." Kagome spun Sango away. They were at either side of the bar now, Kagome turned her back to Sango and started the line dance for the song.

Kagome's feet moved fast along with Sango's back to the middle of the bar. This time Sango put her hand on Kagome's hip. They leaned together. "Ready for it…" "Do you really want to do it?" "Yep… now." Kagome went down into the splits between Sango's legs. Sango slid down the bar and landed wrapping her arms around the dancing pole and sliding down hanging over the crowd.

Kagome jumped off of the bar Sango following her closely.

~~~~~~
Inu had his hands full making drinks, but he had seen her. She was impressive. If Sesshoumaru didn't hire her he was stupid. Of coarse his brother may not have been impressed he usually wasn't. Sango had almost lost it when he told her no to let Kagome try.
Sango had threatened to quit. That was the only reason Sesshoumaru had let Kagome try he couldn't loose his best girl. Inu saw Sango take Kagome into the Red room. He smiled. So they're lovers? Interesting. He took the next order and continued on.
~~~~~~

Sango led Kagome to the Red room, then past that into another room. "Mr. Sesshoumaru are you here?" "Yes Sango. She was good but not that good." "What are you saying?" Sango asked with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "She didn't get the job…" "Don't even try that with me Sesshoumaru. I'll fucking quit… and you know I will."

"Settle down Sango." A silky voice said making Kagome shiver. "I will not settle down!" Sango said strongly.

Sesshoumaru stepped out of shadows in front of them. "Sango, I have told you my decision. She is a distraction especially to you." "I quit." Sango grabbed Kagome's hand and drug her to the door. "Wait… turn back around Kagome."

Sango let her go. Kagome did as told. "Sango, leave us will you?" She left. Kagome felt nervous. "Tell me something about your history." "What do you want to know?" Kagome was not sure how to really answer.

"Tell me about your parents." "They died six years ago, I was twelve. The only thing I remember was I hated my mother for being late to pick me up from my band concert. That's when I found out that they had driven off a bridge because some guy was drunk and decided to ram into the back off them." Kagome said with anger.

"What did you do after their deaths?" "I cried. Like most humans you know?" "Not what I meant." He said smiling. "I moved in with my grandfather and my brother, Souta. I finished school and now I'm looking for a job to help support my family, or what's left of it."

"Am I done here?" "You're hired just so Sango won't leave. She's good at what she does. Tell her that. You may go now."

Kagome walked back into the Red room and Sango looked up from her seat. "So?" "He says that you're good at what you do. And that I got the job." Kagome said in a monotone voice, but with a small smile. Sango lit up. "Yes…"

"So what do we do now?" Kagome asked. "We party."

She led Kagome out of the room and back to the bar. "Well? What's going on love? You in down towner?" "Give the new girl a Blue Moon would you?" Kagome said sitting on a bar stool. "That's a little strong for you love." "I said I want a Blue fucking Moon didn't I?" he chuckled then poured the drink into a mug. "Here… if you fall on your ass you owe me a twenty." "I raise that wager thirty bucks." Sango said laughing.

"What ever then you owe me fifty and you owe me twenty." "Fine." Kagome said before putting her lips to the glass. The drink flowed into her mouth and was gone in less than a minute. Kagome slammed the emptiness down. "Another or do you give up at seventy dollars?"

Inu-Yasha looked at her with a surprised smile. "You surprise me love. Another…" he refilled the glass "but I wager fifty more." "You'll be sorry." Sango said "Drain it girl." Kagome bent back her head and the cup was empty again. "I'm done ladies. Here's the money."

Inu slid a hundred and ninety across the bar to Kagome. "Thank you love." Kagome said smirking and pocketing the money. "We'll split it later." She said to Sango who only nodded.

Inu moved away to a girl down the bar. The resemblance to Kagome was uncanny. "Oh, shit. Come Kagome. She has seen you with him, you will be her next target to get rid of, let's go." As they moved into the crowd they were separated. "Sango!" "Kagome! Where are you?" they were pushed farther apart. "Shit." Kagome went toward the Red room.

Sango went back to the bar. "Sango, who was that girl?" Kikyou asked as she arrived. "None of your business slut." "How dare you!" she swung at Sango but Sango dodged. "Kikyou. Stop it." Inu hissed catching her arm before she got off another swing.

Sango looked at her growling. "Just tell her Sango. Then at least she'll leave you alone." "Whatever. She's the new hire on, get used to her, she's not leaving any time soon." Sango said rolling her eyes.

She stood on the bar and looked around. She saw Kagome standing by the Red room and smiled. "See you later slut." She jumped down and barely escaped Kikyou's blows again. "The shifts almost over. Ten minutes until close up. We get to clean up tonight too. Fun huh?" "Yeah I guess. Who is she Sango?" "It's his girl friend, Kikyou. She's a slut Kagome. She's slept with probably every guy in here. She's no good for him, and he knows it, but he's scared to leave her. Scared that he'll never find another because of what he is."

Kagome watched as the crowds got thin. They started to pick up trash and such from empty tables and off the floor. The only people left were Sango, Kagome, Inu, and his girl. "Hey kid, what's your name?" Kikyou asked. "I'm not a kid and the name's Kagome." "You look like a kid, and your snotty too. Must be from down town."

"What is it with you people and up or down town? Yeah I'm from the south; at least I'm not a slut like you Kikyou. I've heard your name down there too. Word is you get around." Kagome spoke to Kikyou still picking up trash. Kikyou hissed at her. "What don't like the truth to be said in front of your boy? That's too damn bad. You know it's the truth, you just don't think he does. He's not as stupid as he looks."

"You need to shut up bitch before I kill you." "Like to see you try." Kagome said standing and turning to the twin she never knew she had. "Stop it. Kagome, come on leave her be." Sango said. Inu grabbed Kikyou and pulled her toward the door. "We have to go anyway. We have dinner reservations."

They were gone. Kagome still felt angry. "What's gotten into you?" Sango asked.

"I recognize her now, Sango. She hurt Souta, she hurt my brother. I've threatened her before, but I don't look the same. Gods, Sango, I never thought I'd see her again." "What do you mean she hurt Souta?" Sango asked moving closer.

"I'll tell you later."

An: hehehe… Cliffy? I know they suck but get over it… I'll see you back here in a few days, one of those F-a-m-i-l-y things…
