Miroku: Wow. That was a good chapter. Sango, can I talk to you in private?

Sango: Why? Can't you ask me here?

Miroku: I think Kagome and Inu Yasha want to be alone.

Kagome: Oh. We don't mind going, right Inu Yasha?

Inu Yasha: Huh? Oh! Sure! Uh. Bye guys

Shippo: I want to come too!

Kagome: Uh tell you what; I'll bring something back with me if you stay here, ok?

Shippo: Alright, but be back soon ok.

Kagome: Ok. See you all soon bye

Inu Yasha: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on lets go.

Princess Selene: Okay, on to the next chapter.

Chapter 2: Part of the Family

The next day, when Kagome and Inu Yasha woke up, Inu Yasha smelt her and confirmed his suspicions as they were getting dressed. "Kagome are you upset about late night?" "No, of course not. Why do you ask?" "I just wanted to tell you that you are pregnant." Kagome was shocked to say the least, but then happiness swept over her. She was going to have a baby. With Inu Yasha. What would her family think? What would the others think? "Inu Yasha, I think we have to tell my family, but I don't know when. I mean, we can't go now since we're so close to getting another shard. How about when we get back to Keade's village, I go back and you come a few hours later?" "How about we get the shard, tell the others you just remembered a big test, I carry your pack through the well and we tell your family together?" "Alright, we better get back before the others wake."

Having worked everything out, they dressed quickly, snuggled a bit and back to the others. Not even five minutes after they returned, the others woke up. Everything was as it was the previous day. When they got the shard, they headed back to Keade's village. It all seemed the same as to what happened to Kagome and Inu Yasha. Fortunately, no really asked, because Kagome said she had to go home for awhile because she remembered she had a big test and Inu Yasha was going to scout for the next shard. "Do you think they know yet?" "I hope not, I don't want word spreading around yet."

By this time they were at the well. After the ride through the well, they proceeded to Kagome's home. "Mom, Grandpa, Sota, I'm home. I have really big news for you." When they all assembled, (Sota, being the way he is, jumped around for a few too many minutes) told them the news. "Everyone, uh, Inu Yasha asked me to marry him, and I, um, said yes. So, technically he and I are married, and, um, are expecting our first child." Everyone, expect Inu Yasha and Kagome, went into a state of shock. Sota was the first to respond. "You mean Inu Yasha is my brother. Cool! Yea! Yahoo!" After Sota got up, Kegome's mom spoke up "I'm going to be a grandmother!? Oh you know we have to we have to buy baby stuff, AND get ready for a wedding. Have you decided on a date yet?" Finally her grandfather spoke. "Inu Yasha, do you love my granddaughter?" "From the bottom of my heart, I love her more than you know." "Very good, I give you my consent to marry. Welcome to the family." Upon hearing this, the whole house became excited. When, what seemed like hours of bliss, the date was arranged to be in two months on the new moon, that way Inu Yasha became normal and Kagome would not be pronounced yet.
