~The Talk ~

 

Inu-yasha was asleep through out most of the day, which wasn't like him. He was a hanyou he didn't need much sleep. Kagome felt weary but excited. She wanted Inu-yasha to awaken so badly. She wanted to pick up where she left off. Well sort of. She wasn't going to go all the way. Kagome was still a bit confused about the whole thing. She knew she needed to talk to someone. Sango was her best friend. I can trust her. Kagome thought. Sango was outside waxing her weapon (sorry forgot the name).

 

“Sango! Sango!” Kagome ran to her.

 

“Yes Kagome?” Sango stopped what she was doing and greeted Kagome with a smile.

 

“Can I talk to you? Its kind of important” Kagome said looking at the ground

 

“Sure Kagome… lets go somewhere private” Sango paused “oh the springs. Haven't been there in sometime”

 

“Sounds great”

 

Kagome followed Sango, as she lead her to the hot springs that weren't far from the village. The air was foggy. Kagome masked in the fog undressed and sat in the water first. Sango got in shortly after. Kagome saw the scar on her back though it was not the first time she still started as if it was.

 

“Ah! This is refreshing” Sango said carefree “ so what is it you wish to speak to me about?”

 

“Um… yea its about Inu-yasha” she pause waiting for Sango to reply

 

“What did he do now?” Sango asked while laying her head on a rock behind her.

 

“He told me he loved me”

 

“Oh my! Kagome… that's great!” Sango was overly happy

 

“You think?” Kagome smiled

 

“It's about time,” Sango laughed and Kagome join in after a while it was silent “ was this all you wanted to talk to me about?” Sango asked knowing there was more

 

“Yea… um well…you know how much I love him right? And how he loves me?” she paused

 

“Yea.” she edged on

 

“Well last night Inu-yasha he … kissed me…and…” she left it like that hoping Sango could fill in the blanks

 

“Did you?” Sango asked just to clarify

 

“No…but we was about to…”

 

“ I'm guessing you stopped him”

 

“ Yea but he was sad about it… should I have let him continue?” she asked looking down with such a sad face

 

“If you did not want to you did the right thing… tell me did you want to?”

 

“Part of me did… but I'm not sure”

 

“Kagome you really need to think about this. Inu-yasha will love you no matter what you chose”

 

“I hope so” she whisper to herself “ the thing is … I have never…. Before”

 

“So your scared?”

 

“Yea… does it hurt really bad?”

 

“Not so bad… when it's with someone you love it merely feels like a pinch…”

 

“Oh… did you and Miroku ever …”

 

“Once”

 

“Really?” Kagome expected Sango to said no and give her an “as if “ glance

 

“Yea”

 

“How was it?”

 

“It was beautiful…” both at a lost for words it was silent once again “shall we head back”

 

“Sure”

 

Kagome and Sango arrive back at the village to find Inu-yasha Miroku fighting.

 

“Don't you dare look at Kagome like that you pervert” screamed Inu-yasha who was chasing Miroku

 

“I didn't I swear… I just said” before he could finish his statement Inu-yasha had caught Miroku “oh the ladies are back”

 

Inu-yasha caught off guard. One look at Kagome caused him to drop Miroku. He wanted to run to her, hug and kiss her, but the others were there. He figure Sango knew. Pretending as if nothing happened he looked at Miroku with death in his eyes.

 

“Kagome call off your dog!” Miroku yelled

 

“Inu-yasha…” she said in the tone he knew all to well. She was going to sit him. She than started to laugh. Soon everyone else join in.

 

“Its getting late we should go inside to eat” Sango said

 

Sango started walking back to the hut Miroku follow…

 

“Inu-yasha…”

 

“Yea”

 

“Can I talk to you”?
