~The girl he used to love~

 

Kagome did the same as Inu-yasha once did and walked away without waiting for a reply. Away from the other's hearing range Kagome toke it upon herself to scream. Her mind has been a bit unease and she learned from a TV show screaming can help clear the mind. Inu-yasha looked at her with a puzzled face. He slowly walked behind her and grabbed her. Embracing her with love. Kagome reached her hands to his. For a moment everything was perfect. Kagome felt wonderful feeling the love from her hanyou. Inu-yasha just amazed that he found someone to love him for him. Kagome tilted her head back to rest on Inu-yasha's chest. Inu-yasha took on deeply Kagome's scent. She smell's like my mother he thought. Her smell made him think of only happiness and that's exactly what he felt when he was near her. Inu-yasha never wanted to let this moment go. He held to her tightly.

 

Kagome on the other hand thinking of nothing but that damn dream. Of course she was in bliss when she felt Inu-yasha's embrace, but that dream still haunted her mind. This is what she wanted to talk to Inu-yasha. The talk she had with Sango made her think. She wasn't ready. I'm much too young … he will understand she thought. Inu-yasha bent his head down to reach her. He pressed his lips against hers. Kagome forgot all she that was on her mind. His lips are so soft she thought before fully engaging herself in the kiss.

 

The passionate lip lock, between lovers. Inu-yasha ears began to twitch swiftly; he broke the kiss and listened to the air. Kagome standing they're wondering

 

“Inu-“ she was cut off by his hiss.

 

“There's someone here,” he said in such a low tone. He moved away from Kagome “I'll be back I promise” he kissed her on the check and jumped into the trees behind them

 

“Inu-yasha!” Kagome yelled “Inu-yasha…” she than whisper. Feeling rather low she plopped on the floor. Hugging her knees she tried to hold back tears he's always running off somewhere…when I need him she thought

 

Meanwhile ~

 

Inu-yasha ran faster into the trees trying to catch his peeper. “ I know this scent,” he said to himself “Kikyo?” He stopped at a clearance to see Kikyo fallen on the ground. Her soul collectors were nowhere to be seen. Inu-yasha approached her with care. Kikyo was crying to herself.

 

“Inu-yasha … why did you pick her over me?” Kikyo asked confront Inu-yasha who tried to sneak his way to her.

 

His heart sank. He wished this day wouldn't come. At least not now. Things with Kagome couldn't be better and now this. Inu-yasha thought long and hard for his answer. He wanted to get this over with as fast as possibly. He was missing Kagome. Her scent her embrace her smile. If he did this now he wouldn't have to face this in front of Kagome.

 

“ I cant be with you Kikyo…” he paused he wanted to say more but he couldn't

 

“Inu-yasha… do you not love me anymore”

 

“No…yes…. I don't know”

 

“ You would settle for that cheap version of me … why? Is it because she has flesh? Is it because she is warm?”

 

“Kikyo”

 

“Inu-yasha if you want to be with that wrench I can understand.”

 

“Kikyo… why do you say this?”

 

“You wanted me to find out this way … to just happen upon you two… you knew I was there and you. Kissed her… tell me how does she taste? Does she remind you of me? Is the reason you love her so because you can start over. A brands new me?”

 

“Kikyo! Keh! Understand this. After what happened the many times you tried to take my life or the ones in which I travel with… how can I still love you when you take away everything that I loved. You are greedy… you want me all for yourself… and I cant have that…just because you are alone doesn't mean I have to be” he nearly shouted at her. At this point he was filled with hate… how dare she say this about Kagome. When she is no better

 

There was a long silence and Kikyo was on the floor sobbing. Insisting that she didn't mean what she said. Inu-yasha did not believe. He was hurt too. He once loved this girl. If Naraku have never destroyed their love. What would have become of them?

 

~On the other side ~

 

Kagome found it useless just standing there. She began to walk in the direction she seen Inu-yasha run to. She stumbles upon Inu-yasha and Kikyo. He's with her? How could he? I thought he loved me she screamed in her head

 

“Inu-yasha do you still love me?” Kikyo asked once again

 

“Yes… I always will”

 

Hearing this Kagome ran out screaming “SIT” she wanted him to surfer. To feel the pain he placed on her
