Kagome ran off in anger. The tears ran down her face. Running as fast as she could. She knew no matter how fast she ran he would catch up to her, but she didn't care the picture of him near Kikyo the thought of him kissing her made Kagome sick with envy. She wasn't looking and her tear-filled vision caused her to miss the rock that was in front of her. Falling to the ground she cried a lot loud

 

“ Inu-yasha…. Why….” She sat on the ground crying into the nearest tree. She never thought this would happen but he knew Kikyo was always there for him. She knew he would always run to her. How could she be so blind? Kikyo was the only one he loved. He was going to go to hell for her. “Kagome … I… I … I love you.” Her mind wouldn't let those words leave her. She insisted that it was all a lie … that she didn't love him … that she couldn't but it hurt her. She found herself clinching her heart. “It hurts here” she grabbed her chest harder “when ever your gone… I hurt here” Kagome tried to stop crying… she wondered if Inu-yasha was going to try and find her but that disappeared from her thoughts. Now she just focus on fixing her heart

 

~Inu-yasha~

 

“Yes… I always will…but” after that all Inu-yasha could feel was a pain that inflicted his whole body. The way the ground impacted his body. It was of pure hate. The ground formed to his shaped and crumbled as he did… but though in pain his mind ran of one thing. “Kagome” he cried out. Realizing she heard the matters in

Which they spoke…Kikyo laughed to herself as she seen Inu-yasha try to get up. He was so weak. Heartbroken really

 

“ Are you satisfied now Inu-yasha? The one you love controls you as if you were a trained mutt”

 

“Damn it Kikyo…. You just don't get it.” Inu-yasha tried to get up. His left arm was broken and his body was cracking as he moved up. “Kagome… I love her…and no matter what you do I will…I will protect her…even if I have to kill you….” The way his voice echoed in her ears. The pain of his aching heart it rang in her head. The words attacked her mind. She dared not speak knowing Inu-yasha would surely attack, Kikyo stuck with fear slowly placed her head to the ground

 

“Why can't you love me again…like I love you?” she ask so low but Inu-yasha heard all to well

 

“ You never loved me as me…. You always wanted me to change…for you… so you could be happy… not me” Kikyo couldn't pick her head up… the sound of her crying made Inu-yasha realize Kagome. “I am going to find the one I love….” He turned his back to her “the one who loves me for me”

 

In that moment Inu-yasha took off. Madly running through the trees. Tears slowly started to run down his face but he quickly held them back. He was taking aback by the smell of blood. Kagome's blood. “Kagome!!!” He screamed loudly into the air. The creature's that called the tress there home fled. And Inu-yasha started running fast defying the laws of science. Faster than the speed of light.

 

“Inu-yasha!” Kagome halfway whispered. She heard his scream and she held tighter to her knees. Inu-yasha saw Kagome from on top the tree. For a second he was scared. He would rather face a billion demons than face Kagome in her anger, but he needed to fix this. His love was mad at him. And he was dying because of that.

 

“Kagome?” he asked as he ran to her feet. The smell of blood, her blood. If someone hurt her he thought pounding his right fist into the tree.

 

Kagome looked at him and before their eyes met she looked away. She was prepared to hate him. To tell him off and to sit him again. She looked to the ground. At his toes which were a mere inch from hers. There was silence. Inu-yasha now seeing the blood was from her falling he put some of his guard at ease. He wanted to speak but he didn't know what to say.

 

“Inu-yasha….” Kagome started speaking first, which shocked Inu-yasha.

 

“Yes Kagome” he said as he sat down right beside her

 

The feeling in Kagome's chest. The pain. It went away. She wanted to attack him for what he did but having him that close to her made her heart jump. “Do you love me?” she said calmly. Trying not to let the tears run from her eyes

 

“ Of course I do”

 

“Than why would you go to Kikyo?” Kagome's voice rise. Inu-yasha didn't know how to answer that.

 

“Kagome?”

 

“Do you still love her?”

 

“ I can't love her”

 

“ But you said you did”

”You didn't let me finish”

 

“ What were you going to say? “I love you Kikyo but don't tell Kagome””

 

“Kagome?”

 

“You know I actually believed you… I thought you loved me… and when your lips touched mines” she paused thinking of the memories “ how could you?”

 

“Kagome please believe me… I don't love Kikyo… I love you… I always have”

 

“So why do you always run to her”

 

“I wanted to tell her… that I was with you… that I …didn't want … anything to do with her”

 

“Inu-yasha”

 

Inu-yasha placed his hand over his heart “it hurts here…. When your gone … I hurt here” he took Kagome's hand and place it on his chest “Kagome I don't want to hurt anymore… I have felt pain all my life… just for being me… than…. Than I saw you… I fell for you…you were the only one that loved me for me that never wanted me to change. Kagome you told me you loved me. Something I never heard Kikyo say. For you Kagome I would give my life. For you Kagome I would pull the very stars from the heavens because you deserve much more than I can ever give you. Even so I don't want you to leave. It may be selfish of me but damn it I don't care…I think for once I deserve something good… Kagome I love you more than I loved anyone. I built walls around my heart trying to keep everyone out. But you found me weak point and destroyed my walls. I gave you my heart…and I …I just cant have that taken away… stay with me Kagome… forever.”

 

Kagome couldn't help but cry…she fell into Inu-yasha's lap. Hitting his chest softly telling him sweetly that she hated what he did to her. Inu-yasha began to cry delicately. He never knew he had such words in him. Kagome didn't want to forgive but she trusted him and knew his words were true.

 

“Inu-yasha I am sorry” Kagome said after she finishes crying. She settled herself in between his legs. She laid her head on his chest. Listening to his heart beat

 

“For what Kagome” Inu-yasha wrapped one arm around her. His left arm hurt too much to move

 

“For hurting you”

 

“You can't hurt me”

 

“Inu-yasha what's wrong with your arm” Kagome asked noticing that Inu-yasha winced in pain when she touched it

 

“Keh! Nothing … just. You broke it”

 

“ What? How?”

 

“When you sat me early”

 

“ I am so sorry”

 

“Its nothing… I love you”

 

“I love you too”

 

For what seem like hours there sat in bliss. Trying to forget what happened early with a sweet moon. Kagome fell fast asleep and Inu-yasha smiled. This must be what happiness feels like he thought

 

This is happiness
