Kagome quivered in freight as the machine slowed to a stop. It was similar to the materials used to make Ginkoutsu; it looked like a large tank. Inu Yasha watched it closely and the lid popped off. Sesshomaru felt Kagome move from behind him and pulled her back.
“Let me go please, I have to see it, I have to see what’s inside.”
“Are you sure Kagome?”
“Uh-huh,” Looking up at the small opening she carefully climbed onto it. Inside she could hear something fidgeting around. “Hello, is any body there?” She jumped in and landed softly on her feet. She looked around and saw a body moving slowly toward her. “Um hello,”
“Mmm, Nnn,”
“Who are you what are you here for?”
“…”
“Please tell me who you are.” she felt something grab around her midsection and squeaked. She felt small claws digging lightly into her skin and moved to feel the dirty, calloused hands. Small puffs of air hit her lower stomach and a nose nuzzled her abdomen. She looked down seeing Silver hair and soft silver eyes staring at her. Kneeling down Kagome was face to face with the demon. “Hello, who are you?”
“…”
“Can you talk?”
“…” Kagome examined his face and smiled softly at him. He was scruffy dirty and looked like he had not eaten in weeks. She touched a gash on his side and heard him cry out.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” she breathed. The demon looked at her with pained eyes. She care fully covered it with her towel and whispered. “I know it hurts but let me help okay.” she pressed her hand through the bloody towel and used her energy. The demon screamed at the pressure she used and tried to pull himself away.
Out side, Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha heard the small cries.
“Kagome, Is everything okay?”
“Miko what is it?”
“It’s a demon child,” She shouted. The demon sighed against her chest ad looked up at her with teary eyes. “It’s going to be okay, it’s almost gone, almost gone.” Kagome cooed to him, the demon sniffed her skin and looked up at her. He moved one of his hands to her forehead and pressed his fingers there. The concealment spell she had faded away and he saw her long silver tresses. He yipped at her.
“Mama,” Kagome blinked at him. “Mama, mama, MAMA,” He nuzzled his nose against her again as yipped for her again. His wound healed and Kagome lifted his hands into the light noticing the dark bloody burns that circle around his wrists. She noticed a shadow covering the light and looked up finding Sesshomaru.
“Miko what is going on?”
“It’s a little boy, he’s Inu Youkai too,” She answered softly ignoring the dry feeling of her throat. “He calls me his Mama,” Sesshomaru noticed the resemblance between them both and asked quietly.
“You smell identical, but he also smells of Naraku. Is he born from your coupling?”
“No, I was never,” Kagome shook her head and stared at him worriedly. The pup Yipped at her again and she hugged him close. Sesshomaru looked at the two. “Sesshomaru, how could I smell so much like him? On the other hand, how could he smell so much like me? I never was pregnant before,”
“You said you were now a Youkai, did Naraku give you the blood?
“Yes, and the next morning I was fully transformed into this,” She answered quietly.
“Then he must have been captured along with his birth mother,” Kagome tried swallowing the lump in her throat.
“Naraku killed his mother? Leaving the little boy by himself and now since I drank her blood, he thinks I am his mother,”
“What will you do now miko? He is now an orphan and Naraku could be looking for him.”
“I’ll, I’ll-” Kagome kissed the boys head and cheek. “I’m going to adopt him, take him with me, on our journey. I cannot leave him here,” She stood holding him close. He looked up at her and then the man whimpering slightly. Sesshomaru grumbled softly at him.
“I will not hurt you; I am your mother’s friend.” Kagome looked up at him then down at the little boy. She did not speak in her language but spoke slowly.
“What is your name, can you tell me that,”
“K-” He mumbled. “Kana-, Kanaye, KANAYE,” He answered. Kagome nodded and hugged him.
“Kanaye, do you want some food and drink, if we go with my friend Sesshomaru we can get some.” the pup nodded and clung to her.
“Inu Yasha, we are going back to Totosai’s the pup that escaped from Naraku needs medical aid.”
“Naraku,” Inu Yasha jumped up nest to his brother on the other side and growled. “Who is escaped?”
“The young boy Kagome now has.” Inu Yasha looked down and saw Kagome holding the boy close to her body. He sniffed at the inside of the small tank and gagged.
“Damn that’s Naraku’s scent alright.”
“Sesshomaru I need some help getting out,”
“I’ll help you let him take the pup.”
“No, I want Sesshomaru to help me please Yasha,” She answered. Kanaye looked at the hanyou. He caught the scent of fear lightly in his mother’s scent and growled at him. He shouted in Youkai,
“Leave my mama alone,”
“Kid what are you talking about?”
“You’re scaring her leave my mama alone. I’ll hit you if you don’t.” Inu Yasha jumped down and grumbled.
“Care to try that?”
“Inu Yasha Sit,” Kagome shouted. The hanyou fell through the floor making a large crater. Sesshomaru helped Kagome out of the tank and scoffed.
“Idiot,”
“I can’t believe you! He is only a child! I swear to Kami Inu Yasha if that attitude doesn’t change-”Kagome coughed and tried to speak again, but nothing came out. Inu Yasha pulled himself of the giant hole and looked at her.
“Are you okay Kagome?”
“No, you caused her to lose her voice. And now, she cannot speak for sometime,”
“It isn’t my fault, Kagome-”
“Yes, it is Inu Yasha, Kanaye is only a pup and Kagome is his mother, she was obviously scared for some reason and he was worried for her.”
“And let me guess you know why?” Sesshomaru turned away with Kagome quietly following. “OI, Sesshomaru!”
“Miko, you need to get dressed, so we can return.” Inu Yasha growled under his breath.
‘Of course she’d be scared of me. I hurt her in her dream, that damn dream. I want to show her that I would never hurt her, but it makes things worse. Right now, I think I should just distance myself from her for awhile.’

“Oh Lord Sesshomaru you’ve returned.”
“My lord,” Jaken sighed. “See, I told you Rin Lord Sesshomaru will return,”
“Actually, I think I told her that,” Sango said. Kagome walked in next holding Kanaye wrapped in her towel. “Kagome,”
“What is that?” Miroku asked. Kagome looked toward them and shook her head. Inu Yasha came up from behind her and sat next to Kikyo.
“Inu Yasha what is it that my reincarnate has?”
“It’s her son; he escaped from Naraku’s castle. The miko cannot speak because of losing her voice.” Sesshomaru answered.
“Since when does my reincarnate have a son?”
“That is none of your concern, and This Sesshomaru would appreciate it if you would stop calling her your reincarnate.” Kagome blushed and turned to look at Kikyo. She just stared at Sesshomaru.
“Of course demon,”
“Call Mi lord by his title and nothing lower you heap of dirt!”
“Toad shut up! Shout at Kikyo again and I’ll rip out your throat.” Inu Yasha ground out. Kagome heard Kanaye whine and looked at him.
“Mama,” She nodded and looked to her friends that were now all arguing. She tried to speak but it hurt her throat more. Totosai noticed the girl’s attempt and shouted.
“If you’d all keep quiet the girl over there needs your attention so doesn’t the pup by the sounds of it,”
“What is it Kagome, what’s wrong with him?”
“Is he sick, could I help?” Miroku offered. Kagome nodded and pointed to her bag. Sesshomaru heard the pup whine and sat beside them.
“What do you need Kanaye?”
“Kanaye, that’s his name?” Sango asked. Shippo jumped onto Kagome’s shoulder and sniffed at him.
“He smells like Naraku,”
“Naraku,” Kagome ignored her friends’ curious voices and dug out a bottle of water. Sesshomaru pulled foods stuff out and answered for them.
“He’s been a captive of Naraku; he only escaped today and found the miko, my brother and myself in the woods.” Sango looked at the silver orbs of the boy.
“He looks like you and Inu Yasha,”
“He’s a dog demon just like us, and since he’s still little; big crowds scare him so get out of his face!” Inu Yasha huffed.
“So now there are three dogs in my home, great,”
“Shut up old man,”
The group sat around Kagome and Sesshomaru watching the pup as he drank the water bottle. Kagome tipped it slightly into his mouth as he gulped it down. While drinking he looked around at everyone. Kikyo caught is eye as she stared at him. Kagome pulled the water away and put it by her side taking the first aid kit out of her bag. She slowly opened the kit pulling out bandages, and medicines for him. Sesshomaru moved for the teakettle that whistled slightly. He filled a bowl full and pulled out a cloth.
“You should all give the miko privacy so she could bathe the child.” Totosai nodded and stood.
“How about we hunt? We could get our dinner early?”
“Sounds good, coming Miroku?”
“Of course dear Sango, any where with you,”
“Kikyo you coming,”
“What if Kagome needs my help?”
“I highly doubt we will need your help onna,” Sesshomaru answered. “Jaken go with them as well, take Ah UN to the river and let him hunt.”
“Aye sire,” The group left and Kagome moved about to lie Kanaye on the floor. He looked up at her and whined. Sesshomaru held the bowl for her as she removed the tattered kimono. Kanaye whimpered when noticing her hurt expression. His body covered with dirt and dried blood. The same wounds found on his wrists were on his ankles, His chest and back had bruises along with small lash-like cuts from his shoulders down to his hips. Kagome’s vision grew blurry with tears, as she looked him over. Sesshomaru growled low. Kanaye sat up and touched his mother’s forehead again revealing her true form.
“Miko, you should wash him quickly, it won’t be long until my baka brother and the others return with dinner. I will help you.” He set the boy on his back again and cleaned his arms while Kagome washed his chest. The boy did not cry out as he did with the other wound but winced at the warmth of the cloths. Kagome’s breathing was rough and short. Sesshomaru grumbled low to her as if purring to try to calm her. It did not work. Kanaye was standing now so Kagome could treat him with the creams and medicines from her time. Sesshomaru wrapped the bandages around the boy’s arms and legs while Kagome tied off the bandages around his midsection.

Once they were finished Kagome removed her shirt putting it on Kanaye, and dug another from her bag. Sesshomaru watched as he slowly moved to sit with him and growled low. “Do you wish to sit with me pup?”
“Yes, please?” He yipped. Sesshomaru sighed and nodded. He waited for the pup to sit next to him but instead Kanaye sat on his lap. Sesshomaru was going to protest, but the look Kanaye’s eyes held told him to forget it. Kagome looked at the tattered Kimono then at Sesshomaru; she tapped his arm holding it up.
“Throw it away,” Kagome glared at him. “We will buy another miko; I’ll have Jaken get one in the morning when we leave.” Kagome sighed and folded it up sticking it in her pack. Kanaye pulled at her whimpering slightly. Before going to his side, she pulled a box of crackers from her pack and opened them. “You are going to spoil the pup’s dinner.” She shook her head and gave them both one. Kanaye sniffed at it before biting into it. He yipped and swallowed it whole. Kagome sat back against the wall watching as Kanaye chewed another. Sesshomaru watched as well and chuckled slightly feeling the miko’s gaze on him. “What is it Miko? Have you not heard someone laugh before?” She blushed turning away. “I am able to laugh miko, I’m not that heartless.” She grumbled at him and pulled her notebook out along with a pen. She scribbled words onto a paper and shoved it in his face. She saw him roll his eyes. “You want me to call you by your name?” She nodded once. “Isn’t that what you are, a miko?” Kagome scribbled more. Sesshomaru read what she wrote and smirked. “I was being sarcastic onna,” she narrowed her eyes and he sighed. “Sarcasm Kagome,” Kanaye pulled Sesshomaru’s sleeve and whimpered for water, Kagome held it to his mouth and he took it from her hand. Sesshomaru noticed Kagome drag her sleeping bag over and lay on it facing the pup. He moved toward her leaving the bottle with Sesshomaru and snuggled close to her body. He kissed her cheek and hugged her before mumbling a good night. “Now that the pup is settled, how are your wounds Kagome?” She jumped slightly. “I noticed you holding your side when we walked, has your cut opened?” She nodded slightly and sat up. Sesshomaru lifted the shirt just enough to cover her chest and noticed all the bruising and healing. “It’s getting some what better, your bruises however have not changed, and did you put a new bandage on just recently after your bath?” She nodded once and sat back against her bag. “You should probably put your concealment on again; I can smell my brother returning. After that, sleep, you still haven’t regained all the energy you have used to heal the wound on his hip.” Kagome blushed and Sesshomaru looked at her. “This Sesshomaru watches just about everything you do miko, especially after you tried to kill yourself in that spring last night.” She growled at turned on her side. Kanaye slept peacefully at her side. Kagome brushed his bangs away from his eyes and kissed his brow. Sesshomaru looked into the fire. “Miko,” She ignored him. “Miko,” She ignored him again. “Kagome,” She turned her head slightly.
“I will warn you now, you’re scent even though you have the concealment, is changing. Soon my brother will find out just what you have become and you will have to explain it to him. He will also ask how you have become demon, and you will have to tell him about Naraku. That alone may cause my brother to kick you out of his pack,” She sat up and fiddled with her shirt. Sesshomaru watched as her mouth moved and passed her the notebook. Instead, Kagome launched herself into his arms once again. He heard small hoarse whimpers.
“Please … help…”
“Miko, Kagome, if it comes to that then I just might allow you to come with me, on one condition.” She nodded. “You must teach Rin to become a proper young woman and teach her how to speak correctly.” She nodded yet again grip around his midsection getting tighter. “Miko, release me.” Kagome let go and blushed apologizing. She rubbed his sides and heard a funny growl come form him. She narrowed her eyes and tickled his sides again. Sesshomaru jumped back grabbing a hold of her hands. She smiled at him knowingly. “Miko, don’t even try that again, or I will forget my offer.” She moved to touch him again and he growled. “I mean it.” Sesshomaru saw her pout and crawl over to her bed facing the other side, her scent mixed with sadness.
‘Gods, he’s so grumpy, I can’t even play. Who knew Sesshomaru had tickle spots though?’ She felt warmth circle her and looked back seeing the Tai Youkai looking at her. ‘Sesshomaru, what, what is he doing?’ Sesshomaru nuzzled her cheek yipping as he quietly ordering her to sleep. She blinked and nuzzled back. ‘Wait what did I do that for?’
‘To thank him,”
‘Whoa, now I got voices in my head, I think I’ve seriously got issues!’
‘There is nothing wrong; I am your Youkai blood,’
‘Youkai blood you can talk?’
‘Yes, to be more precise, I am your inner voice. What we just did was based on our instinct.’
‘Instinct, what else will happen anything bad?’
‘If you lose your temper in battle or if someone you love is hurt badly then I may take over. It has happened once before If you recall?’
‘I do not remember anything did it happen recently?’
‘That vampire demon came to take us away remember, I attacked her and then we both collapsed.’
‘I remember collapsing, we killed her didn’t we?’
‘Yes, but only to protect ourselves and our friends. We should rest now, after Kouga and what else has happened we will need all the strength we can get.’
‘Kouga,’ she nodded shutting her eyes. Sesshomaru felt her form relax against his and sighed.
‘Curse this miko, for weakening me,’
‘What’s your problem I’m rather enjoying her warmth.’
‘Shut up,’
‘Why should I, It has been a while-’
‘It is bad enough that she has been abused by Naraku and Kouga, This Sesshomaru will not be the next to force him on her.’
‘Ohh dear Kami you sound like you care for her,’
‘I will not degrade myself, to their level.’
‘You spoil my fun, I want to taste this little onna’s blood, feel her flesh against my own and you deny me my wishes?’
‘You are allowing her scent to get to you, calm yourself now.’ Sesshomaru heard his Youkai growl.
‘Spring is nearly over and we have yet to choose a mate, I cannot wait any longer! It’s has been decades since we’ve last slept with a woman,’
‘’That is enough; I will not lay with Kagome just for your carnal desires. You will control yourself now.’ Sesshomaru growled lowly and Inu Yasha stepped inside.
“What the hell are you growling at?”
“That’s not your business.”
“If you have done something to Kagome I swear to Kami,”
“Hanyou even if I wanted I wouldn’t have the time to do so,” Sesshomaru’s Youkai snapped. Inu Yasha turned to see his brother’s gaze light a mix of red and gold.
“What the hell did you do?”
“My Youkai is having a problem keeping him in check.” Inu Yasha turned back setting the dead fish he caught by the fire.
“Did you tell her yet?”
“Tell her what hanyou?”
“Did you tell her that she could be-?”
“No, I did not explain to her about her time of heat, Kanaye was still awake. He was more important to take care of.”
“How is the squirt?”
“He is doing better now that he is with his mother, the wounds he has are healing faster now since they have been cleaned and treated.”
“That’s good, and Kag’s voice?”
“Has not yet return- she will need time to recover both for her wounds and voice.” Sesshomaru moved his gaze over toward the neatly folded blanket and found Rin huddled there. “Rin what is it that you are doing?’
“Well you and Kagome-sama were busy with Kanaye so I thought that I would draw a picture for him.”
“I see,” Sesshomaru said. He cursed under his breath. Rin walked quietly over to him and held out the picture.
“See. Lord Sesshomaru,”
“Yes, Rin, were you here the entire time? How come you did not speak up?”
“I thought that you didn’t want me to talk?”
“Of course you’re allowed to talk; This Sesshomaru wanted Kanaye to have his privacy,”
“Ok, Oh Miss Kagome’s very pretty, in that form Sesshomaru-sama,”
“What form?” Rin looked up at Inu Yasha and blinked.
“Miss Kagome,” Sesshomaru looked up at his brother coolly.
“What is Rin Talking about?”
“The miko is asleep right now Rin. Please keep quiet.”
“Oh I’m sorry, I forgot!” She hurried back to her corner and colored again. Inu Yasha just scratched his head.
“She’s talking about when Kag sleeps right? I thought since Kouga she might have you know- transformed into a wolf.” Sesshomaru stared at his brother with a narrowed gaze. “That does happen right? When taking the one you want to be your mate, and their blood will change and they‘d be a Youkai just like you.” Inu Yasha looked down at his claws. ‘I would be full demon if father bit and drank from Mother’s neck. She’d still be alive too,’ Shippo and the others came scrambling in just then. Kikyo noticed the hanyou’s gaze as it focused on her reincarnate.
‘Silly little Hanyou, you will not have to worry for her any longer. Soon you will be in the depths of hell.’

Naraku stormed his halls growling. He passed Kanna and went straight into the dark chamber he once used to create the ghost child and all her siblings. Looking around he growled; there was a large hole in the center of the floor. Kanna stood behind him. “He’s escaped,”
“Call for Kagura, find her and tell her there is something far more important that needs to be done.”
“Yes, My Lord,” Naraku jumped into the hole and found the chains all scattered and the walls cracked.
“Kanaye,” he ground out.

Okay here’s another Chapter! Kaggie and Sess will be a little ooc in this fic… I know that in my other stories Sess is ooc too, but I just wanted to get that down. So to be straight, everyone in my stories will be out of character a lot or a little. Situations like Kouga, and Naraku will happen a bit more in this story. I’m keeping it that way cause it will keep my readers guessing on the pairing. If you have any ideas where this is going do tell! I’d like to hear what you have to say. I like keeping you, my readers on your toes. That said please review and I’ll get the next chapter up soon. That goes for this story as well as my others. Thanx a bunch!
