Seven:

Kagome sat on the porch quietly as the rain fell. Shippo, and Kanaye, were both with another mother of the village; Kilala, Miroku, and Sango were off in a completely different village helping with some sort of demon. Sesshomaru had to return to the palace, but was very reluctant t go, Inu Yasha Went to Jinenji’s village to grab some medicines and help some of the villagers. Moreover, Kikyo, Kagome groaned flopping onto her back. Kikyo is watching over her. Her so called guardian, protector of ‘evil’. Kagome snorted a laugh and sighed again. She has been at Kaede’s for a week now, her friends leaving only yesterday she felt completely bored out of her mind. The shocking part was that Naraku had not shown up either to try to steal her away. She could not go home either, when they were low on food Inu Yasha brought her pack back to the shrine with all her clothes and other things so they could stock up. He did not trust her to go back; He feared that if her mother found out then he would never see her again. Kagome smiled ‘Now that’s something, Inu Yasha worrying about never seeing me again. Scared over me never coming back,’ Kagome touched her heart as it thumped softly in her chest. ‘Inu Yasha-’
“Reincarnate, come inside, or you’ll freeze. We wouldn’t want that baby to die now would we?” She hissed evilly. Kagome growled sending Kikyo a mad glare.
“Kikyo just because Inu Yasha left you to take care of me doesn’t mean that I HAVE to listen to you or do what you say. Just keep your distance from me okay?”
“Oh so harsh miko, has Naraku rubbed off on you? Then again he’s already done that hasn’t he, quite a few times now ne?”
“Back off Kikyo, you sick Bitch!” Kagome seethed her eyes red. Kikyo laughed darkly moving closer.
“Don’t shout reincarnate, if you lose control of your anger who knows what would happen to you or the pup most importantly.” Kagome’s breath caught and she growled stomping off. Kikyo shouted at her to come back and Kagome snarled finally flipping Kikyo the bird. She stormed off to the well and jumped in.
“To hell with this, I’m tired of that Kikyo,” Kagome felt the bottom of her well and climbed out via the rope ladder. She ran to the door opening it quickly. Mama Higurashi Jumped from her book seeing her frustrated daughter come in.
“Kagome you’re back… How are things going?”
“Terrible mama, just terrible,”
“Calm down honey and talk to me, stop pacing!” Kagome sighed and took a deep breath. She pouted clutching to her mom.
“Momma, a lot has happened, but I’m scared to tell you-”
“What’s so scary, Kagome it’s alright to tell you momma,” Kagome felt her mother’s soothing had cup her face and she breathed.
‘’Just take that thing back with you through the well! GET OUT!’
Kagome shook with fear and clutched her mother tighter.
“Don’t make me say momma, not yet please, not yet, I’m just really tired right now.”
“All right honey, go lie in your bed, but you must promise that you’ll tell me when you feel ready.”
“I promise momma, Love you.” Kagome hugged her mom and walked up the stairs. Mrs. Higurashi bit her lip and looked to the door her daughter came through.
‘What has happened to my precious little girl, did Inu Yasha have anything to do with this? He was awful jumpy that day…’

“Souta can you get the door for me please? If it is tourists go get grandpa.”
“Okay, mom- Yo Inu Yasha-!” Souta smiled “What brings you to the shrine, did sis get in trouble again?”
“Nah Souta, I just came to get some more stuff for the traveling we do,”
“Oh, so where’s Kagome then?” Inu Yasha froze, but shrugged.
“Figured it’d be easier to do myself instead of having Kagome shout at me.”
“Would you like some ramen Inu Yasha, you can eat as I pack?”
“Um tempting offer, but no thanks Mrs. Higurashi,” Inu Yasha answered. She blinked at him, but shrugged.
“How’s my daughter been as of late Inu Yasha? Has she been doing well?”
“Yeah, just fine….” Inu Yasha sighed.
“You say that like your hiding something, is everything truly okay Inu Yasha?”
“Huh- Oh yeah everything’s fine, Kagome’s been yelling and sitting me and crap like that so yeah, same old, same old,” He said quickly.
“Inu Yasha watch your language please. You know I really don’t want grandchildren with foul mouths.” She uttered quietly. Inu Yasha caught it and shouted.
“Pups, Mrs.Higurashi what are you talking about I mean Kagome and pups?”
“Yes, my daughter would make a beautiful and caring mother don’t you think?”
“Whoa it’s not like I don’t think she won’t be its just, um….” He sweated, “never mind,” Mrs.Higurashi blinked again feeling the hanyou’s discomfort fill the room.
“Well that’s it for food and medical items, now Kagome’s necessities, I’ll be right back.”
“Okay,” Inu Yasha nodded and clenched his fist. ‘Damn mouth of mine, constantly running when it shouldn’t. Now her mom is really going to know. Just how am I to break it to her? “Yes Mrs. Higurashi Kouga raped your daughter and now she’s pregnant with his kid” Ack, stupid, stupid hanyou, if I just followed her that would not have happened. Damn Kouga always trying to steal my woman- WHOA, where the hell did that come from?’ Inu Yasha shook his head. ‘No, she is my woman is not she, my Kagome, MINE and only MINE. My smile my heart, my everything, Damn that Kouga, Next time I see him I’m going to cut his damn balls off and choke him with them!’ Inu Yasha pictured the wolf screaming in agony at his feet bleeding to death. ‘Hell if suffocation doesn’t stop him first.’ Inu Yasha felt someone tap his shoulder and he turned.
“Do you mind telling me why you are carving your claws into my table?”
“Oh, damn it, I’m sorry Mrs.Higurashi, I really am, I can make a new one if you’d like? “
“Its fine Inu Yasha, the table is old anyway and I’ve been meaning to get another one from the shop. Here, you are ready to go; Kagome’s things are in here, instead of the yellow pack.”
“Kags usually puts them all together in one bag, how come you did it different?”
“Well, I packed more things for my daughter than what she packs herself. This way the yellow pack won’t be so full.”
“Um, okay, thanks,”
“Not a problem, Inu Yasha, just promise me you’ll keep my daughter safe and to hold in your curses.”
“Don’t worry, Kagome will be fine, I’ll cut down on my mouth.”

She sighed shaking the memory from her head. “That boy was very strange indeed, oh I should check on Kagome.” She walked up the stairs hearing quiet sobs; her daughter’s door cracked open so she was able to see. Kagome was on her bed bare as can be staring at herself in the mirror. Mrs.Higurashi panicked and rubbed her eyes. Kagome had Silver hair and claws; she looked similar to Inu Yasha. She had a bite mark on her breast and her stomach looked rounded. A long tail wisped around Kagome’s feet and the woman could not help but enter the room. Kagome smelt her mother’s presence and quickly turned her teary face around.
“Momma,”
“Kagome, this is what you were scared of?” Kagome bit her lip nodding softly. She ran at her mother hugging her tightly, hiding her face in her mother’s stomach.
“I’m sorry momma, sorry, sorry, sorry-”
“Easy now, Kagome I want to know just how this occurred. Is this a trick or a spell or, or is this what my daughter will be for he rest of her life?”
“It’s permanent momma-I’m stuck like this forever,” Mrs.Higurashi sat with her daughter on the bed.
“I want to know what happened honey, who did this? Was it Inu Yasha?”
“No mom, please don’t be mad at me please. I tell, from the beginning.”

Inu Yasha cursed under his breath as he glared at Kikyo.
“You let her fucking go! Do you know how much trouble she could be in?”
“Inu Yasha it wasn’t my entire fault, she stormed off and I called her back, but she ignored…”
“Don’t even Kikyo, You could have chased her down or called for Kaede’s help. Shippo could have helped too, Damn it all!”
“Inu Yasha why are you so angry hasn’t my reincarnate done this before? Has she left you for her time before? She’ll return, I doubt she’ll have any problems either, she’s my reincarnate after all-”
“Kagome is NOT reincarnated from you! She is her own person damn it,” Inu Yasha raced off and stopped at the well. Kikyo not that far behind smiled evilly at the hanyou as he jumped down the well.
‘Oh this pain I feel, soon Inu Yasha you will feel the same.”

Inu Yasha knocked on the Shrine’s door muttering silently. “Please be here Kags, please be here Kags-”
“Inu Yasha, come in,” Mrs.Higurashi whispered. Inu Yasha panicked at her softness and came in.
“Is Kags here, Kikyo said she ran away,”
“She’s here all right,” She sighed. “Asleep in her bed, Inu Yasha she told me what had happened.”
“She has,” He paled. “Please forgive me, I wasn’t able to stop the wolf, and the pup-”
“Inu Yasha calm down, Please sit,” He flinched at the word and carefully made his way to the couch. “Kagome told me about her being demon and some man that had raped her, what was it Naraku, I believe. She also told me about a Kouga,”
“Demon, Kags is a demon, Naraku? What-?”
“She also told me of Kikyo and how she’s being treated by this girl.”
“Kikyo,”
“Inu Yasha why aren’t you helping my daughter through this? She’s scared she fears of losing you and her friends.”
“Mrs.Higurashi, I had no idea that Kagome was demon, and Naraku raping her-” Inu Yasha cleared his throat trying to keep his anger down. “All I knew of was Kouga, that sick bastard,”
“Inu Yasha if this continues I will not permit Kagome to visit you again, mark my words. She’s fallen in love with you and with that I can’t just take her away; I will give you a second chance of protecting my daughter is this clear?” She scolded. Inu Yasha nodded.
“I swear that I will protect her, even if it kills me Mrs.Higurashi, I will make sure that those who have harmed my Kagome will get their just desserts.” Inu Yasha stood without any questions and headed for the said girl’s room. Mrs.Higurashi blinked.
‘Did he say “My Kagome?” and what is this about a pup?’

Inu Yasha opened the door quietly and peeked in. There she was, his not so human looking Kagome. He stood over her admiring her features. Her hair was lighter and silkier than his was. Her ears were, pointed, her clawed hands curled against her chest as she breathed in soft breaths. He climbed into the bed and kissed her cheek. He was not expecting her to whine and curl up against him. “Kags, I’m sorry to do this, but I have to, it’s gonna hurt so bear with me.” He said, knowing she could hear. He pulled the blanket down revealing her neck and gulped. He pulled the blanket from her hips setting his claws against them. He made sure that he was far enough away so he would not harm her pup. Even though his Youkai demanded to kill it, his human blood wanted to protect it. He kissed her forehead before moving to her neck. He bit her and at the same time dug his claws into her flesh. She whined in pain waking from the deep slumber. To keep her from waking, the hanyou growled as if purring, to lull her back. He sipped her blood away from the mark and pressed his hands into her hip slowing the blood flow. He licked his fangs clean and kissed her once more. Kagome whimpered lightly at the soreness, but never woke up. Inu Yasha felt some energy under his hand and pulled away. HE saw something shining through her skin and carefully dug it out. His heart froze. ‘The, the jewel, Naraku’s Shards, but why, why would he give them to Kagome? Is he giving up? Feh fat lot that will do, he will die, for what he’s done!’

Naraku watched as the priestess stormed into his palace. “This is not going as we planned.”
“Oh what a pity for you, Kikyo,”
“Shut up, this screws you over to idiot, the hanyou won’t come any closer to me and Kagome is still causing me trouble! I thought you said you’d take her here!”
“Well, I am, but don’t blame this all on me, it was you who blew your cover,”
“I have done no such thing,”
“Oh, and those magic little beads you placed on my mate wasn’t giving away your cover? The Tai Youkai already knows who you are, and you will die yet again. What is it your third death? You’ve already died twice…”
“Shut up you, those deaths were not fair, that wench used trickery on me.”
“Hm, quit complaining, I tire of your mouth.”
“How dare you,”
“Ah, ah, ah don’t lose your temper, or I might be forced to kill you instead.”
“I am here to fulfill my desire Naraku you cannot stop me no matter how you try. I want that little hanyou and his friends dead. Especially that Girl!”
“You are allowed to take care of the others, but Kagome is mine, you will think not of her.”
“Then you do something about her, she is in my way of success.”
“Hm, just return to the village, I will see what I can do about my mate. The others should be returning very shortly,”

“Lord Sesshomaru just what is it that you are doing?”
“I am preparing the castle for my brother and his pack, what else would I be doing Rin?”
“Oh they are going to stay with us? Rin is very happy! Is Kanaye going to be here too?”
“Yes, the pup will be coming as well. Jaken, has everything been prepared to my liking?”
“Oh yes sire, everything is exactly as you asked. Oh Mi lord, where are you going?”
“This Sesshomaru is taking us back to the old ba-ba’s village. Kagome was left there with that wench of my brother’s; This Sesshomaru has to watch for the wench’s tricks.”
“Oh the Kikyo woman, yes I’ve been sensing some dark energies from her, she covers it well, but not well enough for this old toad!”
“Jaken be silent.”
“Yes, sire-”
‘Rin did you pack extra clothing items?”
“Yes, Sesshomaru-sama, I made sure I packed my kimonos Do you think Kagome would like them?”
“I’m sure the miko would love them.” Jaken nearly gagged hearing the sweetness in his master’s voice as he spoke of the miko. He gripped the staff tightly.
‘Sesshomaru-sama is growing weaker and weaker every time he sees that woman; I fear that she’ll destroy him! As his fateful follower, I, Jaken must keep her from Him!’

Kanaye shivered in front of the fire. Most of the quakes coming from his fear, the others because he was cold. He looked around the small hut as the old woman and her sister; the ‘mean one’ as he called her snored lightly. Shippo was lying on top of his mothers sleeping bag completely sprawled out. He saw her pack and grumbled to himself. ‘Just where has my momma gone, did that mean dog man take her away? I want her back!’ Shippo shook at Kanaye’s escalating whimpers, but never woke. The young pup moved to the yellow pack grabbing his mother’s blanket and covered himself before leaving the hut. Kanaye followed the faints scents of his mom and Inu Yasha to the well. He jumped on the ledge only to slip and fall in. He shouted loud waiting to slam into the bottom but no bottom came. Instead, when he opened his eyes, he saw blue lights and firefly like lights twirling and dancing around him. He grabbed at one, but when he opened his hand, it was gone. HE finally slowed in the mystical light and landed softly to the ground. He whimpered as his nose filled with nasty scents and loud buzzing sounds. He was scared and tried to find his mother. He saw a large tree and sniffed it finding the old scent of the dog boy hanging all over it. He climbed up it and sniffed the air, getting lightheaded minutes after. He saw an open window and climbed in.
