I have decided! This fic will be a kouXkags, but kagome and inuyasha will still be great buddies.

 

On with the story!

 

It was morning. Miroku stepped out of the hut. He was always the first one to wake up, after all, he had to meditate. When he got to the tree Inuyasha was sleeping at, he did a double-take. There was Inuyasha and Kikyo. Sleeping together. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see a piece of Kikyo's outfit caught on a tree branch.

 

`They didn't, did they?' Miroku thought. He knew that Sango would glare daggers at Inuyasha if she found out. But Kagome…

 

Kagome.

 

She wouldn't act mad. She never did. She would just act depressed, and ignore Inuyasha for awhile. She would occasionally sit him, but that was it. Her heart was to pure. She never hated anyone, well, except for youkai.

 

`How can Inuyasha be so cruel? Kagome loved him, although I'm sure she doesn't anymore. Who could?' Miroku thought.

 

“Miroku? Huh? What's going on?” A sleepy Sango asked.

 

When she what Miroku was gawking at, she was wide awake.

 

“They didn't! How could he? Now we can't get Kagome back together with Inuyasha! Although who would want to be with him now. Ugh. He makes me so mad, you know?” Sango said.

 

“Well, yes, but I think it would be wise if we don't tell Kagome about this.” Miroku replied.

 

“Don't tell me about what?” Kagome asked, walking up to them.

 

`Shit.' Both Sango and Miroku thought.

 

“Hey Kagome! I'm glad you're up! Let's umm… Let's go take a bath! I saw a really nice hot spring nearby!” Sango said in a rush, desperate to keep Kagome away from the tree.

 

“No thanks Sango, besides, I thought you hated taking so many baths, and in the morning too! What's going on? What are you guys hiding? It has to do with Inuyasha and Kikyo, doesn't it?” Kagome asked.

 

Sango cringed.

 

“Well, yes it does. Are you sure you want to see though?” Miroku asked.

 

Sango shot him a questioning look, and he sent a look back saying If she wants to know, she should know. Sang must of understood, because she stepped back.

 

“Yes, I do want to see. After all, if you don't know you can only assume the worst.” Kagome replied.

 

When Kagome looked up, what she saw made her gasp. There was Inuyasha, sleeping with Kikyo. And Kikyo was wearing the Fire Rat. Apparently, Inuyasha heard her gasp, because he woke up, confused, he looked down and saw everyone staring up at him.

 

“What?” He asked irritated. Then he felt something in his arms slowly stir. There was Kikyo, slowly waking up.

 

`That's right, she came up here with me last night. They aren't thinking we…. Of course we didn't, why would they think that?'

 

That's when he saw Kagome's expression.

 

And his world just about came down.

 

As Kagome walked off, destination unknown

 

*Somewhere Nearby…*

“Hurry up guys! Your slowing me down! I'm sure I can smell Kagome nearby. It's weird, because it seems like she's alone! “ Kouga shouted to his comrades.

 

“Wait up Kouga!” Ginta and Hakkaku shouted, trying to speed up. They too could smell Kagome, and it was true, it didn't seem like she was with anyone.

 

Their shouts were in vain. When the strong smell of tears that were no doubt Kagome's, they saw Kouga speed off. Their only hope of finding him this time would be to follow him to where the scents were coming from.

 

Hey yall! This fic will be kouXkags. Inuyasha hurts kagome too much… but kagome and inuyasha will try to be friends. In the next chapter, you find out kikyos latest request, and you see what happens when kouga catches up. Im taking a break for about a week, so it will be awhile. Ill try and get another chapter in as soon as I can!!
