*With Sango and Miroku*

 

“Miroku, I don't think Kagome seemed very happy about the whole Kikyo thing. I wish there was something I could do to help her.” Sango said

 

“As do I Sango, but there isn't anything we could do. Inuyasha has made his choice. It was bound to happen, I just wish that it would have been later, and that it would have been Kagome. Kikyo has never been of help. She just distracted Inuyasha and Kagome, nearly killed Kagome, and gave Naraku most of the shards killing Gods no how many lives. I think that Inuyasha loves Kagome though, but he doesn't know yet. I've seen the way he looks at her. Not with lust, but with love.” Miroku said

 

Sango and Miroku were at a river, similar to the one where Miroku proposed. Soon Shippo came down and joined them.

 

“Are you guys talking about Kagome?” Shippo asked, sitting down in Sango's lap.

 

“I guess you could say that,” Sango replied. “you know how Inuyasha invited Kikyo to journey with us, right Shippo?”

 

Shippo made a face. “Yea I know. I don't like it though. `Cause Kagome is my mommy (in this fic she adopted him, so they are like mother son.) and I always considered inuyasha as my daddy. (so sweet! He considers them a couple! Awww…) I don't want Kikyo butting in.”

 

The rest of the group was quiet, taking in what Shippo had just said. It was true; Kagome and Inuyasha did act like a married couple. If Inuyasha was here, he would have smacked Shippo, and then Kagome would sit him, like things normally are. But things aren't normal anymore. Kikyo's with the group. What's next, Sesshomaru?

 

“Hey…um... I need to talk to you.” A voice said from behind them.

 

“Oh Inuyasha, I didn't notice you. Well, what is it you wanted to talk about?” Miroku asked.

 

“Well…uh.. you have to promise not to get mad. And don't blame Kikyo for this either.”

 

“Let me guess, it has to do with Kagome. What is it?” Sango said dryly, knowing she was going to blame Kikyo anyways.

 

“Well, uh, don't ask for details cause I'm not going to tell you any details. I need you to tell Kagome that I can't talk to her anymore, and that I would appreciate it if she would leave me alone.” And with that, Inuyasha left before anyone else could say anything.

*Timeskip to the evening*

 

“And that's how it is Kagome. He doesn't want to talk to you, and he doesn't want you to talk to him.” Sango said. She had just explained about what Inuyasha had told them in the afternoon. She didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, but the hot spring was always the place where they could talk in private, and Miroku sure wasn't going into the hot springs with Kagome.

 

“I see. So he told you to tell me that?” Kagome asked, still shaken with the fact that Inuyasha want nothing to do with her.

 

“Yea, pretty much.” Sango replied.

 

`How dare he! How dare he hurt Kagome like that! Kikyo is a clay body stealing souls! And he chooses her and ditches Kagome, the one that loved him for who was! He stomped all over my sister's heart! How dare he!' Sango thought.(yea sango and kagome think of each other as sisters in this fic)

 

As everyone was going to bed, Kagome left the hut, and walked out to the tree Inuyasha was sleeping in. Kikyo saw this, and quietly followed.

 

“Good night Inuyasha.” Kagome called out to him when she reached the base of the tree.

 

She knew he heard her, but he still didn't reply.

 

“Sleep tight.” She said, in a quiet whisper. And she turned and walked back to the hut.

 

`So, she still won't forget him. I bet Inuyasha's feeling bad now. She's gonna pay. If Inuyasha wont do anything, then I will.' Kikyo thought

 

*Inuyasha's POV*

 

“Good night Inuyasha.” He heard Kagome call. It broke his heart to have to ignore He. Turned around so he wasn't facing her, and closed his eyes. Tight.

 

“Sleep tight.” He heard her whisper. He pretended to be asleep, but it broke his heart to have to ignore her like this. Did he make the right choice? Finally he heard her walk away, when he realized Kikyo was also here.

 

“What do you want Kikyo.” He asked.

 

“I couldn't sleep. Can I sleep with you?” She asked.

 

His eyes widened. Did Kikyo want to sleep with him? The Hanyou?

 

“Just to sleep.” She added quickly.

 

“Feh. If you want.” He said.

 

And Kikyo climbed up the tree to wear he was, ripping a part of her outfit.

 

Kikyo shivered.

 

“Here, wear this.” He said handing her his Fire Rat Robe.

 

“Thanks. Kikyo said.

 

And for a split second, Inuyasha saw Kagome there. Not Kikyo, he saw himself sleeping with Kagome.
