This chapter gets pretty interesting because Kagura decides to go against Naraku and Ryukatsei. Then Kari joins up with them looking for revenge on Sesshomaru and Kagome. I can’t tell you any more or I’ll be giving away the whole chapter. You’ll have to read to find out. I’m going to make a longer chapter like I did for the last one because you liked to read more.

Chapter eleven

Kagura’s Decision and Kari’s choice.

~*~*~*Flashback to last night~*~*~*~*

Kagome’s POV

-I can’t believe I actually agreed to act like Sesshomaru’s mate! He actually asked me to act like his mate when he could have asked another to.- Well, you like him. Why wouldn’t you agree to act like his mate? He is much better than Inuyasha. He at least treats you like a person. Kagome knew who this voice was. It was her voice of reason and emotions. -I don’t like Sesshomaru, I like Inuyasha! He really doesn’t treat anyone like a person except Rin and he treats her pretty coldly..- You know that Inuyasha will always want the clay pot. We could try to get him to forget her, and if it doesn’t work out with him, you can always be with Sesshomaru. Have you noticed that he acts nicer around you? He’s not as cold and emotionless.

-I’m not even going to have this conversation with you. I like him alright! I just don’t know if it is more like a friend or a potential boyfriend. - the voice laughed and said I told you so! You like him and you should tell him!!! Kagome was so annoyed and didn’t answer back. She decided to get some sleep instead of staying up all night talking to herself. She snuggled into the bed and cuddled up to Shippo. She fell asleep five minutes later thinking of Sesshomaru. -Is there any way it could work with Sesshomaru? What would happen with Inuyasha?- she thought right before she fell asleep.

Her mind constantly thought about Sesshomaru and conjured up a dream that could come true if she was with him.

Unknown to Kagome, Kasumi was in the doorway and smiled as she saw her toss and turn on the bed. She had a good feeling that she was thinking about someone but she wasn’t sure who. Kasumi smiled softly as she saw what was plaguing Kagome’s thoughts. She discovered that Kagome was contemplating things about Sesshomaru. She was so confused about him because she hardly knew anything about the real him. She used her mental powers to ease her thoughts so she could sleep. ‘Maybe I can get Lord Sesshomaru and Kagome to like each other and become mates. She would be good for him. She would bring back the side of Lord Sesshomaru that was lost when his mother died.’ Kasumi smirked as a plan formed in her mind and toward the door shutting it behind her. ‘I know one person that will help me, it’s Rin-chan!!’ she thought excitedly.

Jaken’s POV

He couldn’t believe that Lord Sesshomaru actually had that stupid miko act like his mate to get Kari to go home. He and all of the other lords let the miko and her friends stay in the castle. Stupid fucking humans! Lord Sesshomaru let Rin stay and now he’s going to end up like Inutaisho-sama was before he got resurrected! The miko will surely kill him with her powers, she is untrained and could kill every demon in the whole western lands if she wanted to! She may be powerful, but she is still a stupid fucking miko that doesn’t know her place.

“I’ll just find a servant to wake up the miko and her friends. I don’t want to do it even if it is Sesshomaru-sama’s orders. If the miko saw me, I would be purified on the spot!” he muttered to himself. He walked around the castle and couldn’t find a single servant to wake the miko and her friends up. He walked toward the miko’s room and sighed audibly. “I really don’t want to do this, but I have to.” He walked up to the door and opened it, stepping inside. He gathered his staff in his hands and whacked her in the head yelling “Get up wench! You need to go to the dining hall. That is where you will have breakfast and talk with the lords!”

Kagome’s POV

Kagome was warm and comfortable. She was having the best dream of her life but it was a little weird. Sesshomaru was in it and was holding her. There was a silver haired child with black streaks running around them. A black haired toddler with silver streaks was sitting on her lap. Her mother and father were sitting nearby talking to Inutaisho and Mira. Okaasan was holding another child that I knew was my own. The baby looked almost exactly like me.

Kagome’s Dream

“Shinta! Come over here and sit with your grandfather. He will tell you stories about your mother that she hasn’t told you.” Midoriko said from Hiro’s arms. Mira looked over to Shinta and laughed because he ran around Midoriko. Making her dizzy. She stood up and quickly ran behind him grabbing the squirming boy.

“Awww grandma! Why did you have to do that for??” he whined and looked at his grandfather for help. “Ojiisan! Help me! Okaasan and obaasan want me to stop playing! They will make me be like Kanna-chan and be quiet! I like Kanna but I don’t want to be quiet so much! I want to play !” he whined

Inutaisho looked over to Shinta and sighed. “Shinta, be nice. Kanna is your friend and even she knows how to play some things. She knows that playing every waking minute of the day would wear you out.” A voice said from the shadows. Kaori looked from her mother’s lap and giggled softly. “Hi Hiraki-chan! “ she piped. Hiraki stepped from the shadows and smiled at Kaori. He walked over to where Sesshomaru, Kagome and she were sitting and leaned against a tree.

“Do you want to play with us? I could get Shinta to play tag.” she questioned Hiraki. He looked over to the wiggling Shinta in Mira’s arms. “I will play tag with you.” Shinta and Kaori’s eyes widened and they both bounced around. Shinta was bouncing so much that Mira had to let him down on the ground. “Yay! Let’s play tag over here!” Kaori said happily as she led Hiraki and Shinta over to a clearing.

Koori started crying and Midoriko handed her to Kagome because she wouldn’t stop. “I think she wants to be in her mother’s arms.” Kagome looked at her okaasan and smiled softly. “She gives the maids a hard time when she is supposed to go to bed.” Shinta and Koori suddenly ran up to Sesshomaru and herself and hid in his lap. Sesshomaru looked at his children amused. “And why are you hiding?’ he said while stroking Koori’s hair. “..Hiraki is after us. Help!” Shinta said but it was muffled through Sesshomaru’s haori. Hiraki stalked up to where they were and smirked. “Awww, come on, Shinta, Koori, why are you hiding from me? I’m not mad!!” he said sweetly.

~*~*~End Dream~*~*~

She felt someone whack her on the head with something hard. She had a feeling that she was going to get to the best part in her dream and hated the person that woke her up. She heard a squeaky, annoying voice telling her to wake up and knew it was Jaken. She sat up on the bed and glared murderously at him. “Why are you here, Jaken? I do not want you anywhere near me.” she said coldly. The blanket fell down and he gawked at her. “What are you staring at?’ she asked irritably. Jaken looked at her with nervous eyes. “Your kimono has fallen down milady.” Kagome looked down at herself and shrieked. “You stupid hentai toad! GET OUT!” she shouted and slapped him hard, sending him through the door. The servants that were close to her room ran there to see what the commotion was about. They found an unconscious Jaken and heard angry muttering about killing a stupid hentai toad. They knew that it was one of Lord Sesshomaru’s guests.

Kagura was sick and tired of being ordered around by Naraku. She knew that she would be killed when she wouldn’t be useful anymore. She didn’t want to be like Kanna, she would die before she ended up like that. ‘The miko will help me, the only one she hates is Naraku. Maybe she can help me get Kanna’s and my own heart back. To prove that I will help them, I will steal the books, get the ingredients that Naraku killed many to get, and have them break the spell on Midoriko, Hiro, Inutaisho, and Mira. That will prove that I want to get rid of Naraku.’

She could tell that she was the only one in the castle. Naraku had gone to see someone and she did not know who. Kanna was not anywhere in the castle. This was the perfect chance to steal the items. She carefully sneaked to Naraku’s wing and checked all of the rooms there. She came to a room and opened the door. She saw the items on a long table. To make sure that they were the true thing, she checked them. They were the right things so she gathered them up and put them in a large bag. There was only one way that she could get out of the castle without being caught is to go out the passageways in the castle that lead to the back of it. She went through many dark and dirty passageways and finally came to a large door.

She opened the door and hurried out of it, looking for something to jam it with. She saw a large fallen tree near her so she used her fan to blow the tree towards the door. It hit the door, and she walked into the silent forest. She stopped at a clearing and looked behind her to make sure no one was following. She saw that no one was and took a feather out of her hair, transforming it into her boat that floats on the winds.

Kagura was just nearing the castle of the west when she was struck down by a familiar attack. She heard the youkai yell “Wind Scar!” and knew it was Inuyasha. To make him believe she was giving them the items, she jumped to the ground with them. She looked at him and smirked slightly. “You missed. Has your aim gotten that bad?” He looked at her with a scowl. “What are you doing here Kagura? Does Naraku want another fight to lose?” he said angrily. She glanced at him and dropped her fan. “I want to get revenge on Naraku, he holds my heart. I have the things Ryukatsei has stolen from you. You can break the spell on Midoriko, Hiro, Inutaisho, and Mira. I will give you these items if you agree that you will destroy Naraku and get Kanna’s and my own heart back.” she said then looked away from him.

Inuyasha did not know what to think. “Show me the items. I need to have Miroku or Hiraki check the books, so you will come with me. I will take your fan so you won’t be able to attack. “ he said as he walked toward the castle. Kagura walked beside him cautiously. They reached the main entrance of the castle and heard people arguing. “He went to see that stupid clay pot, houshi-sama! I know he did! Otherwise he would be here so we can make a plan to get the items back!” He grew angry at this statement. Kikyo is not a stupid clay pot! “Miroku, I need you to look over these books to make sure that Kagura isn’t double crossing us.” he said angrily. Miroku looked over at him and Kagura. “Why are you letting her here, Inuyasha? I thought that you hated her.” he asked with an air of curiosity.

Inuyasha looked at him and scowled. “I do hate her but she knows Naraku better than anyone else, we can use her for bait to draw Naraku in, then destroy him.” Miroku and Sango looked at him with astonishment. “You actually thought of something that we can use. Will you go back to your barbaric ways.” Sesshomaru’s voice said softly. Everyone looked at him and wondered why he was here and not talking with the lords. “I have heard you arguing and decided to see what it was about. The only way I am going to let Kagura in here is if you watch her and make sure she doesn’t do anything while the lords go through the items to prepare the spell. I will call you when I need you “ he said and walked away.

“Does anyone know why Sesshomaru let Kagura stay?” Sango asked and looked around the huge room. “He probably wants to check the authenticity of the items and books. We will be called when we are needed. Lets go to a room to talk. “ Miroku said and walked toward the door. The three reluctantly nodded and followed him.

Kari’s POV

‘Why did Sesshomaru make that stupid wench his future mate? I was his only fiancée!! I have heard about a powerful hanyou that has teamed up with Ryukotsusei’s brother. Maybe I can league myself with them and get revenge on Sesshomaru and that stupid wench? Yes, that is a good idea. I will go to the place where he was last reported to be seen at.

She walked to a deserted part of the northern lands. She then felt someone watching her. Miasma filled the field and it was hard for her to breathe. “I know you are there! I want to make a deal with you, Naraku!” she said through her coughs. The miasma thinned and a baboon pelt appeared in front of her. “An what is this proposition?” a dark sinister voice asked. Kari looked at him with a sliver of fear. “I want to join forces with you to get revenge on Sesshomaru and the stupid miko wench!” she spat furiously.

Naraku looked at her and smirked. ‘That is good, she hates Sesshomaru for what he has done to her.’ A dragon appeared in the sky above them and chuckled. “Naraku, it would be a good choice if she joined forces with us. Our side would be stronger when we destroy them.” Naraku looked up at Ryukatsei through his masked and moved closer to Kari. “Yes…You are on our side now. We will destroy these stupid pests once and for all! If you betray us, you will be killed mercilessly.” he said coldly.

Kari nodded and followed them as they disappeared into the fog that was forming. ‘What will happen after we destroy Sesshomaru and his allies. I won’t have a fiancée anymore and I can’t get anyone as good looking as Sesshomaru is.’ She did not know what to do when she came face to face with her love. ‘I will have to wait and find out.’

Shadow15* I am sorry for the wait! School has been getting hectic and I will be able to update easier when it ends. Don’t expect another chapter really soon but I will write when I have time. Kari is getting really desperate and will probably get killed before she gets to see Sesshomaru again. The group doesn’t trust Kagura yet, but it will come soon. I hope that you liked this chapter!!
