School is finally over! I can write again! It won’t take me as long as it has to update unless I am on vacation or something like that. I’m just glad that I can write again. In this chapter, you’ll get to know what the youkai side of Inuyasha is thinking. I said in a review that I was going to make fluff happen after Naraku was destroyed. Well, I thought about it and have had an idea. I have been inspired and I can’t get it out of my head so I’m making it into a chapter. Thank you for the reviews!!!

Chapte r Twelve
Convincing the brothers?
Sesshomaru and Kentaru were looking over the ingredients and were convinced that they were the real thing. “We need to perform that spell, Sesshomaru. We need all of the help that we can get when we are defeating Naraku and his associates.” he said softly glancing at his ally’s emotionless face. Sesshomaru glared over at Kentaru. “We need to destroy Naraku first, he and Ryukatsei are the biggest threat now.” he said coldly.
Kentaru couldn’t believe that he did not see the advantage that they would have if they had Hiro, Midoriko, Inutaisho, and Mira fighting with them against Naraku. `We would destroy them and wouldn’t have to lose any important people. “Are you that blind?? Can’t you see that we will need Hiro, Midoriko, Inutaisho, and Mira to win this?? Ryukatsei won’t be so easy to beat. He will be stronger than Ryukotsusei was because Naraku will no doubt give him tainted jewel shards to use. I have a feeling that Naraku will be recruiting lesser demons to help him.” he said softly.
Sesshomaru wasn’t listening to what he was saying. He was thinking how he would destroy Naraku and Kill all of his followers. Kentaru sighed dejectedly and walked out of the room seeing that Sesshomaru wasn’t listening to what he was saying. He walked toward Kagome’s room so he could talk to her. ‘Maybe she can convince the two stubborn brothers to perform the spell. She knows that we will need all of the help that we can get when we fight this battle.’

Kagome was sitting in the gardens playing with Shippo and Rin. They were running around and dodging every attempt that she made to catch them. “You can’t catch me momma!!” Shippo yelled laughing. He pounced on her and she fell not too gently on her butt. “Itai!” she yelped trying to get in a more comfortable position. ”Landing on a rock hurts!” Shippo heard what she said and got up and looked at her with misty eyes. “Gomen Okaasan! I didn’t want you to be hurt!!” he whimpered sadly.
Kagome looked at him softly. “You didn’t hurt me Shippo-chan, I landed on a rock and that isn’t too comfortable.” Rin and Shippo nodded in agreement. “That has to hurt Kagome-chan! Jaken lands on rocks all the time and ends up not moving for a long time! Sesshomaru-sama has to kick Jaken to make him move again.” Rin said trying to help Kagome get up.
Kagome finally got up and stood still for a moment. Shippo noticed that she wasn’t doing anything and looked at her worriedly. “What’s wrong Kaasan?” Kagome looked down at her adopted son and sighed. “Someone’s coming. The presence feels familiar…” Kentaru stepped from the shadows and stood there waiting for Kagome to spot him. She finally looked over to him and smiled softly.
“Hi Kentaru! Are you looking for someone?” she asked as she walked toward him. He looked over to where the children were playing and nodded his head. “Hai Kagome. The children should go inside now. It is time for Rin-chan’s studies and Shippo can join her. Then we can talk.” Kagome walked over to where Shippo and Rin were at and told them to stop for a minute. “It is time for Rin-chan’s studies and Shippo will go too.” she said with a tone of authority. Shippo and Rin got the hint and walked toward the castle.

Kagome walked back towards Kentaru and sighed. “What is it that you want to talk about?” Kentaru walked over to the tree that was near them and sat down. “Come and sit with me Kagome. What I have to tell you might be hard for you to do but you have to.” Kagome walked over to the tree and sat down in front of Kentaru.
“We need you to convince Inuyasha and Sesshomaru to perform the spell so we can have Inutaisho, Mira, Midoriko, and Hiro fighting with us when we are fighting the final battle. Everyone but Sesshomaru and Inuyasha want to perform the spell before we battle Naraku and his followers.” he said softly.
Kagome couldn’t believe what she just heard. ‘Convincing Inuyasha to do this was an easy task because he wants to be able to talk with his father because he hasn’t had any time to with his untimely death. Convincing Sesshomaru would be like hell freezing over!! ‘Yeah, there’s no chance at all of that ever happening. Any bright ideas?? I can’t think of anything right now…’
”What?? I’m supposed to convince Sesshomaru to perform the spell?? He wants to kill Naraku and his followers as much as I want my parents back! How am I going to do that?? Can’t you give me any tips or ideas on how to do this?? I have no clue what to do!!” she wailed childishly. Kentaru looked at he seriously. “You have to do this Kagome. We need them to help us ensure a victory.” he said and walked back to the castle, leaving Kagome to her thoughts.

Kagome’s POV
“What am I going to do?? I have no clue how I’m going to convince Sesshomaru to perform the spell! He has his sights set on killing Naraku before he does anything! This is going to be so hard to do…why do I have to do it?” she said exasperatedly then put her head in her hands. ‘We have to do it. Even if it is going to be hard. Let’s start with Inuyasha first.’ Kagome’s eyes widened and she smiled slightly. ‘That’s a good idea. It will be easy to do this half of the plan because I know that he wants to see his father and it will be easy to convince him.’ She got up and started to walk to the castle, to find Inuyasha.
“Are we going to kill Naraku or what?? I want to get my hands on that baboon freak!” a voice said angrily. “Inuyasha, we will defeat Naraku when the time is right, not any sooner or later.” Miroku said walking up to him. “Shut up monk! I want to kill him now! And after that, I can get his followers out of the way too!” Kagome walked over to where they were and sighed. “Inuyasha, can I talk to you alone for a minute?”
He looked over to where Kagome’s soft voice came from and stared for a minute. She looked like a goddess with the sun highlighting her hair and illuminating the beautiful features of her body. Not that he would tell her that though. “What are you staring at?” she asked irritably. His staring was starting to get on her nerves.
To her it looked like he was staring at her like Miroku would. Inuyasha blinked and was thrown out of his daze. “What are you talking about wench? I’m not staring at you!” he said blushing beet red. “I was thinking about something!” he said stuttering. He was embarrassed that Kagome had caught him staring at her.
“You were staring at Lady Kagome’s beautiful body Inuyasha. You were probably thinking about her weren’t you?” Miroku asked perversely. Inuyasha blazed red with anger. “You stupid monk! Quit thinking like a pervert!” he yelled and hit him over the head, knocking him unconscious. Kagome blushed and looked away from the swirly eyed Miroku. “Let’s go Kagome, I don’t want to be here when he wakes up.” he led her to the gardens and sat down. “What do you want to talk about?” Kagome couldn’t believe that Inuyasha would willingly talk to anyone without blowing up in their faces. He never was this calm. ‘Could he know what I want to talk to him about?’
“We need to perform the spell that will let our parents fight with us. We can’t fight Naraku alone Inuyasha. He has become too powerful. Even the backlash wave would only do little damage to him. Ryukatsei’s hide seems stronger than his brother’s was and that can give us a hard time. Will you help me figure out how to convince Sesshomaru to perform the spell. All three of us have to do it at the same time. One or two people aren’t enough.” she said softly.

Inuyasha’s POV
‘Should I do it? Part of me wants so but the other half of me wants to kill Naraku first. Naraku needs to pay for what he has done to everyone! I still don’t trust Kagura. She could be here to kill our parents when she gains our trust…^We should kill the bitch before she does anything. She is a part of Naraku and anything that is a part of him is dangerous. We have to protect our potential mate! His youkai half snarled in his head.^ Inuyasha was surprised at what his demon half snarled and how protective it was when it concerned Kagome.
‘Potential mate? I love Kikyo. I can’t break my promise to her. Even though I wish I was with Kagome I will never be able to be with her. She deserves someone better than me. I’m just a lowly hanyou and she is the daughter of the most powerful miko and a taiyoukai! The wimpy wolf will try to get her to be his mate!’ The youkai half of him snarled angrily.
^The wolf will die if he tries to touch my Kagome! I will disembowel him and feed his innards to a wild bear youkai!^ Inuyasha groaned silently at what his other half said. ‘I won’t touch the stupid mangy wolf if I don’t have to! You sound like Sesshomaru saying that. I won’t turn into a monster like him!’
^We are like Sesshomaru more than you can comprehend, pup. Even though we are a hanyou, we still have strong youkai blood running through our veins, I would answer Kagome’s question soon, she’s looking at us weird.^ Inuyasha snapped out of his daze and saw Kagome tapping her foot and had her hands on her hips.
She was looking at him with an annoyed look. “Are you going to answer me or are you going to sit there all day? I didn’t know that you thought this much Inuyasha, you should be careful. You could hurt yourself trying to think.” He scowled and growled angrily.
“I heard you wench! Stop looking at me so weird! I will do the stupid spell only because I want to talk to my old man. You have to get the bastard to agree though. I‘m not going near him. He seems to have a grudge against the old man.” he said softly and turned away from her, starting to walk toward the castle.
She sighed softly and sat on a stone bench near some rosebushes. ‘Why do I let him call me wench? He should know my name by now.’

Kagome’s POV
‘Well, I got Inuyasha to agree to perform the spell, just barely. He won’t help me convince Sesshy though!’ she whined in her head. ‘Wait a minute; did I just call Sesshomaru Sesshy?’ ‘Yep! You must really like him to come up with pet names for him.’ ‘It’s easier to call him that instead of saying Sesshomaru every time I say something about him or get his attention when he won’t answer me!’
‘You might want to look in front of you. The man of your dreams is here!!’ This snapped Kagome our of her thoughts and she saw Sesshomaru staring at her. “IS there something that you want Sesshomaru?” she asked softly.

Sesshomaru’s POV
‘What is Kagome doing standing in the hallway? And why am I calling her Kagome instead of wench?’ ‘You like her. You know that she doesn’t like to be called wench. Rin likes her too. She doesn’t try to get into your bed and doesn’t try to shamelessly flirt with you trying to get your money. You respect her even though you won’t tell anyone that. Maybe you can tell her that you want to court her? You know that you like her. You hated Kouga when he put his hands on her.’
Kagome walked up to the dazed Sesshomaru. “Are you in there Sesshy?” she asked as she waved her hand in front of his face. He caught her hand and held it in front of his face. “Why are you calling me Sesshy? My name is Sesshomaru, not Sesshy Kagome.” Her eyes widened slightly. He was calling her Kagome and not wench or onna. “It’s easier to call you Sesshy instead of your full name. Plus, I think its kawaii!”
He shook his head and sighed softly. “I will allow it. You will not call me this name in front of anyone else. Kentaru said that you wanted to talk to me. What do you want to talk about?” he said coolly. Kagome looked at him turned around and beckoned him to follow her. She led them to the gardens and sat down on a bench. “We need to perform the spell that will let our parents fight Naraku with us. We can’t beat him alone Sesshy. Will you please do this? I want to see my otusan and okaasan! Onegai Sesshy!” she pleaded with tears in her eyes.
He looked at her tearful eyes and wanted to do what she asked. ‘Rin is making me soft.’ “I will think about it. It is a good idea for us to have as many allies as possible. We would be more effective against Naraku and his followers.” he said softly.

Kagome’s POV
Kagome’s eyes widened and she smiled to herself. ‘I thought he would say no, not that he would think about it!’ She ran over to him and hugged him tightly. “Thank you so much for not saying no right away and deciding to think about it!” she said staring into his molten gold eyes. As if she was in a trance, her face slowly got closer to his and she gently kissed him on the lips.
‘Kami he tastes good. Chocolate and strawberries! I want to stay here next to him but this is just a spur of the moment thing. Oh well.’ She stayed at his side for a few more seconds then let him out of her embrace walking toward the castle with a blush on her face. ‘Did I just kiss Sesshy and he didn’t kill me? Does he like me?

Sesshomaru’s POV
‘She tasted good. Mmm cherries and vanilla!’ We need to kiss her again! his conscious said perversely. Maybe we could get her to do more than just kiss?’ ‘Don’t start now. Hmm. He’s right. I want to kiss her again. It would be nice to have a mate and then the stupid brainless females that want my money would leave me alone.’ You know that isn’t the only reason that you want a mate. Kagome would be perfect at out side. ‘Leave me alone right now, I have things to do. She kissed me. Does she like me?’ he sighed and walked toward the entrance of the gardens, then walked to his room.
He sat at his desk and started to work on papers that dealt with things happening in his lands. ‘It’s no use trying to do this paperwork now. All I can think about is Kagome and the kiss we shared. He sighed and got up from his desk. He walked over to his bed and sat down. ‘I need to rest. Maybe that will help me think straight.’ He got a pair of navy silk hakamas on and settled in his huge bed. Unfortunately for him, his dreams were filled with the image of Kagome.

He caught her hand and held it in front of his face. “Why are you calling me Sesshy? My name is Sesshomaru, not Sesshy Kagome.” Her eyes widened slightly. He was calling her Kagome and not wench or onna. “It’s easier to call you Sesshy instead of your full name. Plus, I think its kawaii!”
He shook his head and sighed softly. “I will allow it. You will not call me this name in front of anyone else. Kentaru said that you wanted to talk to me. What do you want to talk about?” he said coolly. Kagome looked at him turned around and beckoned him to follow her. She led them to the gardens and sat down on a bench. “We need to perform the spell that will let our parents fight Naraku with us. We can’t beat him alone Sesshy. Will you please do this? I want to see my otusan and okaasan! Onegai Sesshy!” she pleaded with tears in her eyes.
He looked at her tearful eyes and wanted to do what she asked. ‘Rin is making me soft.’ “I will think about it. It is a good idea for us to have as many allies as possible. We would be more effective against Naraku and his followers.” he said softly.

Kagome’s POV
Kagome’s eyes widened and she smiled to herself. ‘I thought he would say no, not that he would think about it!’ She ran over to him and hugged him tightly. “Thank you so much for not saying no right away and deciding to think about it!” she said staring into his molten gold eyes. As if she was in a trance, her face slowly got closer to his and she gently kissed him on the lips.
‘Kami he tastes good. Chocolate and strawberries! I want to stay here next to him but this is just a spur of the moment thing. Oh well.’ She stayed at his side for a few more seconds then let him out of her embrace walking toward the castle with a blush on her face. ‘Did I just kiss Sesshy and he didn’t kill me? Does he like me?

Sesshomaru’s POV
‘She tasted good. Mmm cherries and vanilla!’ We need to kiss her again! his conscious said perversely. Maybe we could get her to do more than just kiss?’ ‘Don’t start now. Hmm. He’s right. I want to kiss her again. It would be nice to have a mate and then the stupid brainless females that want my money would leave me alone.’ You know that isn’t the only reason that you want a mate. Kagome would be perfect at out side. ‘Leave me alone right now, I have things to do. She kissed me. Does she like me?’ he sighed and walked toward the entrance of the gardens, then walked to his room.
He sat at his desk and started to work on papers that dealt with things happening in his lands. ‘It’s no use trying to do this paperwork now. All I can think about is Kagome and the kiss we shared. He sighed and got up from his desk. He walked over to his bed and sat down. ‘I need to rest. Maybe that will help me think straight.’ He got a pair of navy silk hakamas on and settled in his huge bed. Unfortunately for him, his dreams were filled with the image of Kagome.
