Kagome impatiently counted down the minuets until her care-taker returned. Once again Kagome was thrown by her chipper demeanor but as long as she would lead her to Souta, Kagome didn't care if she had three eyes! She had faced worse before, especially traveling with Inuyasha, she never had known what was around the next bend, or behind the last tree…God she hoped Inuyasha was o.k.….She could vaguely remember the time between falling into his arms, and waking up with him by her side, but for some yet unexplained reason, she felt as if he had been there the whole time.
“Okay derie, ready to see your family?” the nurse asked, smiling.
“Yes!” Kagome said anxiously, trying to move so as the nurse could hoist her into the wheel chair. `This would be a ton easier if Inuyasha were here…' Kagome caught herself thinking as the nurse bumbled about trying to help her off the bed, and situate her in the chair. Once she was finally settled Kagome sighed and closed her eyes as her body began to move along, and the tiles on the floor began to blur beneath the spinning wheels. Soon she would be with her family once again… She hadn't seen any of them since `it' happened. She supposed that because Inuyasha had come in with her, he was probably the only visitor she was able to see…
Kagome had missed her mother deeply, sometimes in the middle of a long night, she relived moments from those horrible days. She would see her mother, cowering on the floor, dried blood caked to all around, and her father, about to strike again. She shuddered a little as the nurse swung her chair into the elevator and pressed the down button.
Kagome's stomach lurched a little as the elevator started to glide downward, and it lurched one last time as it came to a rest on the 2nd floor. She was ready, she wanted to see her family so bad now, no matter how they might have changed…she was sure that she had changed too…The doors slid open and the nurse, gently glided Kagome forward. To the nurse this was just another day, just another girl, seeing her family…but to Kagome this day meant everything.
Finally they reached a door marked `Visitors' and Kagome's gut did another elevator flip as the nurse reached above her and opened the door.

Sango looked to Mirouku with wide eyes…he could tell she was frightened…he closed his own eyes and took a deep breath “I'll be first Inuyasha” he said bravely. Maybe if he did it first Sango would feel a little better about doing it after him…He got up and slowly walked over to where Iuyasha sat, kneeling before him and extending his left forearm, rolling up his long sleeve to revel the tender flesh within.
`Ah' Inuyasha chortled to himself `the monk wants to ease Sango by doing it first himself'. Once the monk had come to rest before him Inuyasha reached carefully into the box and withdrew a glinting shard. He grabbed Mirouku's arm firmly, but as not to hurt him, and tested a spot in his inner elbow with his claw, that place would do just fine. “Ready?” he asked placing the shard parallel to his skin.
“Yes” Mirouku answered firmly…
“Alright then, here we go” said Inuyasha. He put force on the shard and he could feel the point tear through the monk's skin. Mirouku tinged and turned his head away, he could feel warm blood start to trickle down his arm and onto Inuyasha…it was all he could do to keep from crying out…if he made this seem painful then Sango would have a hard time…if he could keep her in the mindset that it really was just a pinch, she might not feel it as much...He clamped his jaw down tightly as Inuyasha started to push the shard in, he could feel the power in the shard, and the evil…Suddenly, he wasn't able to feel the blood any longer, and the pain was now a twinge started to fade, Mirouku turned his head and saw the jewel had begun to heal his wound, and seep under his skin. Inuyahsa hadn't even pushed it all the way under the monk's skin when the wound began to glow purple, he quickly released the shard as to began to absorb into his skin all on its own.
“There” said Inuyahsa wiping the blood from his fire-rat hatori. “Its over” he said standing and helping Mirouku to his feet. “Sango, your next”

“Kagome!” was the first thing she herd as the door swung gently open. “Momma!” Kagome cried as she lifted her arms to welcome her mother's embrace. She could feel warm, wet tears falling from her mother's eyes onto her sholder as she held her close and knelt down beside the wheelchair. Soon Kagome realized that she was crying too… “Momma your o.k.!” Kagome sobbed as her mother started to pet the back of her head.
“Yes, Kagome Yes” Her mother wept. She thanked every god she could think of that both her babies were alive…
Soon there was another body wrapping around Kagome, it was her grandfather! She couldn't remember a time when she had been so happy, and she knew this was going to be one of the happiest days of her life…As they started to break from the family hug, and as her momma reached into her pocket for her hanky Kagome noticed that someone was missing… “Where's Souta” she asked as soon as she found her voice again…her grandfather looked to her, almost sadly, and moved aside to show little Souta on the waiting room couch, staring into nothingness… “Souta!” Kagome said as the words started to lump in her throat…Souta continued to stare, stare at her…and tears began to well up in his eyes until he looked like a little dyke about to burst…and burst he did. He started to cry and he ran over to his sister, jumping in her lap, and wailing the whole time “Kagome! Kagome!”
“Oh Souta!” Kagome wrapped her arms around her little brother and held him close to her as tears dripped down into his messy black hair. “Oh Souta I was so worried!” She said stroking his hair. Their mother just smiled fighting her tears that her family was back together… The doctors would have canceled their reunion though…they couldn't get Souta to utter one word… luckily she was able to plead for her family's sake…and now he had finally spoken, `Kagome'… after this moment she was decided, no matter what, all you need is your family, and miracles will happen.
