Last Time:
smiles a fake smile on his way out the door, and my mother's eyes flash with anger.
was he here?" she demands.
give her the old excuse of how he was here to help me with my homework, and I get the lecture of how she doesn't approve of me hanging out with "someone like him." I roll my eyes and run up the stairs to my room, hoping to find sleep.
speak nothing of Kijuro; nothing of the diner. My mother doesn't need to know.

Forced Relations
morning now, and I'm on my way out the door to walk to school. Some how, I can't keep thinking about what happened between Koga and I. What are these feelings? I'm pretty sure I don't feel "that" way about him, but who knows? Maybe I changed over night.
snow has finally decided to fall today, and I huddle deeper into my sweatshirt, hoping to keep the cold out. My backpack is heavy with books, reminding me that I forgot to finish my algebra homework. Maybe Sango or Rin will let me copy theirs...
look around, noticing the white specks that cover the ground in a frozen white blanket. The trees have lost their leaves, giving them an eerie figure, and the sky is a musty gray. There's no way the sun will shine today.
what I need. A gloomy day. I have to admit that I'm nervous about going, but maybe because Inuyasha told Kijuro and his gang to leave me alone, they will. At least today's a Friday, and I'll have the weekend to relax; provided that I don't have much homework.
is now over, and I'm walking to work with Sango and Rin.
what's wrong?" Sango asks, a look of worry in her eyes.
can't tell her. I probably should, but I'm not going to.
I say. "Just tired, and I and I don't want to work tonight."
does?" Rin says, a little louder than needed.
dunno, but at least Miroku'll be there..." I say playfully nudging Sango in the arm. The longer I can keep my 'happy' image going, the better.
she says, hitting me lightly on the head. "I do not like him!"
ya don't," Rin says.
sighs heavily and rolls her eyes. "Whatever."
knows it's true.
have to check a few things at home, 'kay? You guys go ahead...I want to relax a little bit. Tell Kaede something came up and I'm sorry I didn't come in early," I say as we near my house.
agree to let me go, and I go into my house. I grab my purse and coat, and then check my phone messages. The only message I have is from Koga.
Kagome, it's Koga. Look, I um...I wanted to says I'm sorry about last night. You were upset, and I took advantage of that. I don't know...maybe you thought it was something, but I know it's not. Maybe it would be better of we stayed away from each other for a while. I'm sorry."
can't help the few tears that fall from my eyes. He's right...I thought it might have been something, but it's not.
So now, Koga doesn't want anything to do with me...
brush away my tears and look on the counter for any notes my mom has left me.
in last minute business trip, be back sometime next week. Sota's at Grandpa's house for that time, so you'll have the house to yourself. MY cell phone's always on, so feel free to give me a call.
sigh, knowing that now I'll be alone for the next week. No Sota's cool and everything, but sometimes I don't feel safe without my mom around, as childish as that sounds.
run up to my room, deciding to change into something a little more fun for work. I pull out a pair of black jeans and a red halter top. I pull my hair out of the ponytail it was sin, letting it fall to my midback, tumbling over my shoulders.
work at Kaede's restaurant, or bar, if you want to call it that. Actually, Sango, Rin, and I are too young to work there, but Kaede knows we need the money. Hell, she even lets our friends hang out there with us when its not so busy.
slick some lip gloss on my lips, and look at myself in the mirror. I'm satisfied with how I look...just the way I want to. I smile and put my black jacket on and throw my purse over my shoulder, then run down the stairs.
shut off the lights, lock the door, and leave to walk to work. I have a car; I just enjoy walking to work more. Plus, I enjoy snow. I love winter.
cool air is nipping at my face, and I curse at myself for not wearing a warmer jacket. The way to the bar isn't long, but today it sure feels like it. I reach the busier part of town and pass a few alleyways.
almost to work, but suddenly, I'm grabbed by something and pulled into an alleyway, as thousands of possibilities for who it is run through my mind.
one name seems to stick out at me.
face comes into full view, and my eyes dart around helplessly. I spot his friend in the background; I don't know who he is. All I know is that he's another member of the 'gang.'
told you to leave me alone," I state boldly, looking him straight in the eye.
laughs. "Yes, but he's not here, now is he?"
slithers his arms around me and pulls me closer to him, kissing my neck.
off me!" I half-yell not wanting anyone to hear. If I make people hear, he'll get pissed off and hurt me.
try to pull back but his hold on me is too strong.
know, you could make this a lot easier for the both of us and stay still," he says, a smirk spreading on his face. His friend is standing at the opening of the alleyway, keeping watch, and probably ready to tackle me if I try and run.
you," I say, kicking my feet. I realize he's not going to let go of me unless I do something, so I do the only thing in my defense. I spit at him.
lets go immediately. "Bitch!"
try to run for it, but his friend throws me back into the wall. I feel my face make contact with the wall, most likely leaving a scrape, and I land on my back. I hear his friend run up to me, and next, I feel him pushing me into the ground.
stay here," he growls. "I will hurt you again if you move."
terrified of moving; literally shaking in my shoes, but I don't want him to know that. Suddenly, it's Kurijo standing over me.
I will help," Kijuro states, glaring at me.
wouldn't dare ," I say bravely.
my dear, but I would," he Kijuro says, motioning for his friend to go back to the opening of the alleyway.
me the hell alone," I say angrily, tears running down my cheeks. I struggle to get away, but he holds my wrists to the ground.
not getting away that easily."
bastard," I half-shout, my eyes tearing up once more.
then, I feel his hand come in contact with my head, and after that, the last thing I remember is seeing Inuyasha throwing Kijuro and his friends out onto the street; and then seeing a flash of colors. I was still conscious, but barely there.
Time: Chapter Three: Heal
all right," I say, my voice barely above a whisper.
you're not. I'm sorry..." his voice trails off. He moves an arm towards me and I jump back; a reaction I can't help.
he says softer than I 've ever heard him speak. "I'm not going to hurt you."
