A chilling breeze caught her dark luminous tresses as they whipped about her pale face. A lone woman stood on a cliff top, as she waited to fulfill her task at hand: to collect the Jewel shards, and rid the world of the Jewel itself. The presence of an evil aura made her turn to the forest behind her.
“I know you're there. Come out and face me…Naraku.”
“Kikyo, I'm a little surprised. You're actually here. Now the question is, what do you want?” A man elegantly dressed with long dark locks and red-piercing eyes emerged from the forest with an evil grin on his face.
Kikyo reached into her haroi of her priestess garb, and pulled out a small jar containing several Jewel shards.
“More to add to your collection. I believe there is only a few left, including the two in the wolf demon. It's only a matter of time before the jewel is complete.” She outstretched her hand, containing the shards, toward Naraku. He stepped forward to retrieve them, but then hesitated.
“My dear woman, these shards reek of Inuyasha and his bitch. Why are you giving these to me?”
Kikyo's hand retreated back to her side as she stepped up to Naraku. Intense red eyes met with dull brown.
“I've come to realize that we both want the same things. With the power of the Jewel you can become invincible,” Kikyo moved closer, her breasts barely touching his chest, “I can become alive, and we can destroy Inuyasha.”
Something stirred inside Naraku. It almost felt like…desire? His eyes skimmed over the woman standing before him. Her face was paler than death, and she reeked of it too. Onigumo's heart skipped a beat and he realized that it was desire that he felt, and she spoke the truth. With the power of the Jewel he would be unstoppable, and with Kikyo's help, destroying Inuyasha would be all too easy.
A vision of Kikyo naked and warm with life, yielding to his baser desires, flashed in his mind. With a priestess at his side, no one would dare stand up to him. Naraku snatched the shards from Kikyo's side, and brought tight against his chest.
“I believe we have an understanding,” Naraku said.
