"Lady Kaede, where is Inuyasha?" asked Miroku.

"I do not know. He left a couple of days ago."

"I know, but I was hoping he was back. If we do not leave soon, we will get stuck in the rains. It will not be pleasant or safe to walk in it, and our destination is at least a two-day's journey away. We should leave now or the heavy rains will get us stuck here or on the road."

"Why don't you go on your own? Inuyasha is much faster even carrying Kagome, He could catch up."

"True."

"What is the rush anyways?"

"There is rumor of a town that found pieces of an ancient jewel, that now protects the town. We do not know the name but if they are Shikon shards, we should get there as soon as possible."

"Yes, than I will tell him. But where should I tell him you are going. Tell him to follow his nose, or just go in that direction, he said pointing to the east, and I will leave trail markers."

"Ok, if you are sure."

"Where is Sango?"

"She is finishing packing."

"Here I am."

"Sango we must hurry."

"Wait what about Shippo?"

"Why not leave him here this once," suggested Kaede. "He is young and needs to take a break once in awhile."

"That makes sense. Thank you, will you take care of Shippo?"

"Of course. Now off with the both of you."

~Later that day~

"Kaede where is everyone?" asked Kagome, seeing her in the fields.

"Miroku and Sango left two days ago, Inuyasha has not returned, and Shippo is playing with the village children."

"WHAT?" What has happened since I left?

"Miroku and Sango heard a rumor that might relate to the shikon shards. They wanted to get there before the heavy rains. Miroku and I both sensed there coming. We agreed Inuyasha can get to the destination in no time, even carrying you, so they left on their own."

"Oh, but where is Inu-yasha?"

"No one knows; he came a couple of days ago to talk to me and no one's seen him since."

"He's been gone a couple of days. I hope he's ok."

"Don' worry Kagome. He's disappeared before, and he can take care of himself."

"Yes, Kaede do you know anyone that has robes I can borrow. Not the miko robes though. I thought it might be good not to look to conspicuous anymore."

"Actually yes, I started making some for you a couple of journey's ago. I thought you might ask for some eventually. There are a few different sets in my hut."

"Thank you."

~The next day close to sunset~

"Kaede, Inuyasha has not returned."

"I hope he comes soon. It will rain tomorrow, and even for Inuyasha the journey might take almost a day."

"Are you sure its going to rain that hard? The weather doesn't look bad."

"Yes, I can feel it. It is strange that the weather is so nice, but I feel it coming. Sometimes nature works strangely."

"Are you sure its no spell."

"No. There is no sign of magic."

"Well that's good, but how bad can it be?"

"I cannot tell you, but it is a very strong storm, strong enough to cause floods, and ruin all crops, at the least."

"Oh"

"Hey Kagome, your back."

"Inuyasha, where have you been? I've been here a whole day waiting for you. Miroku and Sango left. They said they heard rumors of jewel shards."

"And they couldn't wait for us?"

"There's a heavy rain coming tomorrow Inuyasha." Said Kaede. "They cannot travel as fast as you can and needed to get there before it started. They left some trial markers on the way. They went directly east."

" Fine. Are you ready to go Kagome."

"Yes but its nearly sunset."

"We can still cover some ground. You don't want to get stuck in the rain tomorrow do you?"

"No, but where were you?"

"That doesn't matter. Lets go."

"Go get that backpack thing."

As Kagome turned to get her bag, he noticed that she had changed into clothes used in the feudal era.

She's even more beautiful than usual, thought Inu-yasha.

"Hey what are you staring at?"

"Your clothes. They're nice," said Inuyasha blushing.

"Kaede made them."

"Well lets… go," said Inuyasha not able to take his eyes off Kagome.

Kagome climbed on Inuyasha's back and was gone.

~A few hours later~

"Inuyasha we should stop soon."

"Why? We're not even close to halfway there."

"I know, but I'm sore and tired," said Kagome yawning, as she put her head against Inuyasha's shoulder.

"Come on we could go a little further."

"Ok," said Kagome her breath hitting his neck.

Inuyasha felt Goosebumps, than he felt Kagome's grip loosening just a little.

"If you don't hold on, I might drop you, and don't expect me to come back for you later," he gulped.

There was no answer.

"Kagome? Kagome, can you hear me."

Inuyasha stopped and found out Kagome had fallen asleep. How does she just fall asleep like that all the time?

Inuyasha rolled out her sleeping bag, and gently placed her in it. He didn't even need his demon senses to hear the waterfall close by. He quickly took the pan and filled it with water from the lake. He came back and boiled the water for ramen noodles. Kagome was still sleeping.

She's so beautiful thought Inuyasha pushing a strand of hair aside. Her lips look so soft.

Before, he even realized what he was doing his lips went down to hers planting a soft kiss.

Shit! Did I just kiss her? I can still feel her lips against mine. She's perfect, a large heart, a nice scent, and a beautiful body.

Visions of the few times he had glimpsed her naked body ran through his head, and Inuyasha felt himself get harder. Damn it. Now what do I do. Must relieve myself before I end up taking her now, but I don't want to leave her all alone. Maybe if I'm not too loud. Feh! She's dead to the world anyways.

Kagome had felt his lips touch hers. She had resisted the urge to kiss back and kept her eyes closed so she would not embarrass him. A little after he had pulled away from her however she had heard sounds of moaning.

What is going on? Maybe if I pretend to turn over in my sleep and just peek a little from the sleeping bag, he won't notice. Kagome turned over and opened one eye. Oh mi gosh she thought shutting her eyes tightly. I don't think I was supposed to see that, but he does have a nice body.

Inuyasha sat down next to her getting a little worried since she had moved, but eventually figuring out that if she was awake and saw she would of sat him by now. Kagome started to shiver a little, since Inuyasha couldn't figure out how to work the zipper to the sleeping bag. He lay down next to her, using one arm as a pillow and draping the other one over her. I'll move in the morning. She'll never know about this but right now this is actually comfort…

What is he doing? I should pull away but I feel so safe. Kagome snuggled even closer.

"Hey Inuyasha where are you? Inuyasha we have to go." Kagome stumbled on the hot springs nearby. Inuyasha was standing there, completely nude. "I'm… sorry," Kagome said turning around embarrassment obvious on her face.

"It's ok. Why don't you join me?"

"But don't we have to go?"

"We have plenty of time."

"Ok, but cover your eyes."

Kagome slipped out of her clothes and into the water, keeping herself covered. "Ok, you can look now."

Inuyasha looked at her with a mischievous look in his eyes. He grabbed her body and pulled it against his, giving her a long passionate kiss.

"Inuyasha we shouldn't"

"Shhh…This is not the time to talk. I love you Kagome."

Inuyasha woke up to Kagome moaning in her sleep. Her scent had changed somehow. He wasn't sure what changed, but the sent was very enticing, and he was starting to lose control. "Kagome wake up," Said Inuyasha shaking the girl awake.

"What?"

"You were making strange noises in your sleep and your scent changed."

"Oh," was all she could say but her face turned a deep red as she remembered her dream. "What time is it?"

"Late in the morning."Damn it. I slept in. We should of been gone by now.

"Lets go," said Kagome, already rolling up her sleeping bag.

The rains started late afternoon, before anyone could reach their destination. It was even worse than Kaede had warned. The lightning shot everywhere it seemed, and all the lakes were flooded.

"MIROKU WHERE ARE WE STAYING TONIGHT?"

"THE NICEST HOUSE IS JUST A LITTLE FURTHER. I CAUGHT A GLIMPSE EARLIER."

"WHY DON'T WE JUST STAY AT AN INN?"

"SORRY SANGO I CAN'T HEAR YOU."

"THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW I SAID SOMETHING?"

They walked the rest of the way in silence, since they could barely hear each other. When they arrived at the gates Miroku ran up to the guards. "HURRY, YOU MUST TAKE ME TO YOUR MASTER. THIS STORM BRINGS AN EVIL PRESCENCE WITH IT."

In no time they were rushed into the castle.

"What makes you think there is an evil presence outside?" asked the lord.

"I am a monk and have the ability to sense these things."

"And what payment do you want."

"My companion and I go around helping people. We destroy demons and protect people from curses. All we ask is food and shelter through the storm."

"You don't mean that women can help you destroy demons?"

"She comes from a village of demon exterminators, and was the best in her village."

"I'll believe it when I see it, but I will give food and shelter in exchange for your protection. The only problem is my house is filled up. There was a fire from the village from the lightning. Many houses were burned before the rain extinguished the flames. However there is a small hut out back. It's not much but we will provide you food and you can stay there."

"We will take it."

"INUYASHA, ARE WE ALMOST THERE?"

"HOW SHOUD I KNOW. I HAVNT SEEN MIROKU'S MARKER FOR AWHILE AND HIS SCENT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS WEATHER."

"BY THE WAY WHAT DOES HIS MARKER LOOK LIKE?"

"A PILE OF ROCKS AND AN ARROW."

"IS THAT IT?"

Inuyasha looked down to see Mirokus's marker with an arrow pointing to his right. He flew off in that direction.

"WE SHOULD BE ALMOST THERE. I THINK I CAN SMELL PEOPLE."

"YOU THINK?"

"WELL YOU TRY SMELLING IN THIS WEATHER. THERES A VILLAGE."

"WHERE WOULD MIROKU BE?"

"IN THE NICEST HOUSE THERE?"

"BUT I DON'T SEE ANY NICE HOUSES."

"LETS TRY AN INN."

They knocked on the village inn door, and an old lady opened it.

"Did a monk come by with a women earlier today?"

"No, not that I recall. A monk did come by but he was alone."

"Well can we rent a room for the night?"

"I'll rent a room to you, but not to your friend."

"Why not?"

"Well he is a demon. If I let him stay here, it will ruin me."

"Kagome just stay here, I'll be fine."

"No. I wont leave you alone in the rain."

"Excuse me but are you two a…"

"NO…Not with this stupid girl…She controls me using these stupid beads."

"Inuyasha SIT! Is there any place we can stay?"

"Well there's a hut a little off from the village. The owner left with her new husband but I believe there are still some blankets there. Its in good repair so no rain will get to you."

"That sounds good. Which way?"

"That way."

"Inuyasha lets hurry."

"Come on."

Miroku entered the hut after putting up all the sacred scrolls. It was one room. At the opposite side of the door was a futon with blankets on it. There was a fire pit for cooking food and that was pretty much all the small hut contained. Inside Sango had already made dinner, with the food given to them.

"So did you get rid of the evil energy?"

"What evil energy?"

"That's what I figured."

"Is dinner ready?"

"Yes Houshi Sama"

"Sango, I asked you to stop calling me that awhile ago. My name is Miroku."

"It isn't proper."

"Sango we've fought many battles. We are comrades. I don't think proper matters anymore."

"Is that what you see me as, your comrade?"

"What should I see you as?" Miroku asked gently.

"I understand." Sango got up to leave.

Miroku grabbed her wrist. "Sango please. What should I see you as?"

"A women."

Miroku's lips went to hers. They came together for a long and passionate kiss.

"Miroku, your all wet."

I guess she didn't want it.

"Maybe you should take off the wet clothes," said Sango with a devilish gleam in her eyes.

"Sure, but yours are wet now two." Miroku replied smiling.

The lips came back together for along and passionate kiss. Miroku's tongue crossed Sango's lips begging entry, which Sango willingly gave.

They tumbled into bed together, tugging at each other's clothes, both trying to get the top position.

When they were both finally disrobed, Sango ended up on top. Miroku just lay there waiting for her to continue, but she didn't.

"What are you waiting for?" asked Miroku.

"Umm…I don't…I just…this is my first time. I don't know what to do."

"Then why did you want to be on top?"

"I don't know. Maybe I didn't want you to crush me."

"I don't consider myself overweight," replied Miroku with mock hurt, as he turned them both around so that he was on top. "Now let me show you how it's done."

"Miroku, How many women have you been with?" asked Sango as she rubbed her hands up and down Miroku's spine.

Uh-oh what should I say. Lets see there was that one girl at that first village, and another…

"Miroku!?"

"I'm Thinking. About 15 or 16, but all before you."

"That many huh?" asked Sango while raising both her eyebrows.

"I was trying to make an heir."

"And how do you know you don't have one?"

"I would go back and check later."

"Oh," was all Sango said, now somewhat depressed.

"Sango. Please understand. I did not expect to fall in love. Finding true love is rare to begin with, and I did not want it until Naraku was defeated. However I did need an heir to continue if I could not defeat Naraku. I am sorry Sango."

"I understand. I never expected to find love either, let alone a man that would accept me."

"Are you with me because I accept you?"

"No Miroku. That would not be enough anymore. I love you."

"And I love you."

Miroku and Sango's lips came together for another kiss, As Miroku's hands started wandering along her body. His lips let go of hers and went to her ear, and he slowly sucked on it, then went to her neck, leaving a trail of kisses as he worked his way to her throat. From there he started to work his way down till he got to her breasts. Sango let out a low gasp as he kissed the area in between her mounds of flesh. Then Miroku started licking her right breast staying away from the now erect nipples. Then he went to the left breast and did the same, all the while Sango lightly gasping. Miroku took her right breast into his mouth and started sucking on it.

"Miroku," Sango called out in a voice between pleading and a gasp.

He went to her left breast and did the same, before he started a trail of kisses again all the way down her stomach, all the way kissing and admiring every scar shining on her white skin like a medal, reminding him that this woman was special. He then went down to kiss the inside of her thighs. By then Sango was ready to combine her body with Miroku's. He placed himself at her entrance.

"Sango, this will hurt," said Miroku, remembering that she was a virgin.

"I can take it," replied Sango closing her eyes and bracing herself, almost fearful of what was to come.

Miroku noticed the fear on the girls face and went slowly into her inch by inch, so as not to shock her. When he felt he was close to the barrier he thrust himself in the rest of the way. Sango gave out a loud gasp of pain and Miroku waited for the pain to subside before he continued. When her body started to relax he started to move in and out of her with a rhythm. Without realizing it Sango started a rhythm to match Miroku's. As there lovemaking continued, there bodies started to speed up. A wave of pleasure and warmth swept over them, as they gave in to there pleasure and desire. Miroku's hands wrapped around Sango as he held her to them, and they both climaxed together.

After they both climaxed, they collapsed on the futon, and Miroku covered them both with a blanket.

"Thank you," said Sango.

"What for?"

"For loving me."

"Thank you Sango."

They both fell asleep that night in each other's arms, as the wind and rain howled outside.
