I forgot to put in the disclaimer and all that stuff earlier so here it is.

Disclaimer: I don't own Inu Yasha, but If I did Kikyo would by blown up into thousands of pieces and those would be scattered into the wind after being eaten by opossums and then having the opossums and their crap burned. Such sweet revenge. LONG LIVE KAGOME!

Now that that's off my chest we can continue with the next chapter.

Sorry my chapters are short so far and kind of fast-paced.

Ch. 3

Kagome woke from a restful sleep far away from the campsite last night. She got up and looked around and noticed she was inside Kaede's hut.

"Must of overslept," she mumbled to herself. As she wiped the sleep from her eyes, she heard the familiar sound of Inu Yasha's cursing. She stepped outside of the hut to see a heart stopping sight.

She saw Kaede and Miroku meditating and creating a shield around the hut. Sango was standing in front of the hut with her boomerang bone (I don't know how to spell it!) with Shippou clinging to her leg. Kirara (can't spell again *sigh) was in her full demon form looking ready to attack.

"Sango?" Kagome's voice was shaking.

"Hello, Kagome, please stay in the hut."

"Where's Inu Yasha?"

Sango and Kagome turned their heads to see Inu Yasha coming at them, Tetsusiaga ready to attack..

"Kagome! Come out here!" Inu Yasha yelled.

Kagome was in shock; she didn't understand what was going on until she saw a figure emerge from behind Inu Yasha. The undead miko placed her hand on his shoulder. "Inu Yasha let me break the barrier."

Kagome's soul felt as though it had shattered. She saw Kikyo place a chaste kiss on Inu Yasha's lips and drew her bow aiming straight for Kaede. "Kaede, Look out!" Kagome screamed running towards her. Kaede's eyes flew open upon hearing her name. It was too late; Kikyo had slaughtered her only sister, destroying the barrier that protected all those that were inside.

Inu Yasha charged at Kagome, but was blocked by Sango's boomerang. Miroku was blocking Kikyo's arrows, which had already killed Kirara. Shippou clung to his adopted mother for protection.

After a few minutes of fighting which seemed like an eternity. Sango's boomerang was sliced in half, as was Sango. Miroku fell to his knees and rushed to her side, but was stopped as Kikyo's arrow penetrated his heart from behind. He fell on top of Sango and muttered, "I love you my Sango" before he his last breath left him.

"How touching" Kikyo said amusement evident in her eyes.

"You Bitch!" Kagome screamed.

"Shut up Kagome!"

"SIT!"

Inu Yasha just smiled at her and continued stalking towards her. Kagome realized that Kikyo must have removed the rosary that had once binded them together. Kagome stepped back. Shippou still clinging to her.

Kikyo fired three arrows at her, she was only able to dodge one. The other two struck her in the side. Kagome fell down and was struggling to stay conscious. Inu Yasha was ready to make the final blow and Kagome fell into a coma from her wounds.

Suddenly, Inu Yasha sensed a demon coming fast. He whirled around to see a white figure ripping out Kikyo's throat and throwing her to the ground. Inu Yasha came face to face with his brother.

"Well little brother, killing your own team for a corpse. What a waste."

Before Inu Yasha could react, Sesshomaru spooned up the unconscious Kagome and Shippou and carried them away.

Inu Yasha's eyes bled red as he turned to face Kikyo.

Kikyo gave him a weak smile.

"I'm sorry Inu Yasha."

Inu Yasha watched Kikyo die and wept at her side.

He had lost everything and was now seeking to avenge his murdered mate.
