Chapter 12

Confrontation

Kagome had been running around the club getting orders. She figured out a while ago that some of the guys would order a lot of drinks just to get a look at her. She was so glad the club was going to close soon.

The crowd was getting thinner by the minute. Miroku was happy because he'd been making triple the profits since he started the new outfit routine. He'd started closing the club earlier because of it.

Kagome was waiting for the time to close the bar. She was just about to go to the back room to get some more napkins when someone grabbed her from behind. She turned around. "Kouga!" She said.

"Hey beautiful." He said. He grabbed her again and hugged her.

Kagome pushed him away. "What are you doing?"

"I just wanted to talk to you." Kouga said. "We haven't been able to talk for a while."

"I'm working." Kagome said.

"I know that. It's important though." Kouga said.

"Can't it wait until I get off work?" Kagome asked. She really did have to work.

"I have to go soon. I just wanted to talk real fast." Kouga said. "Can't you take a break or something?"

Kagome sighed. She couldn't stand the way he was looking at her. "Give me a minute. I have to let Sango know." She walked over to Sango and told her she'd be in the VIP room for a couple of minutes.

She walked back over to Kouga. "Come on lets go to the VIP room since it's so important." She said.

Kouga followed her to the room. He walked in and shut the door. "What did you want to talk about?"

Kouga backed her up against the wall near the door and put an arm on either side of her head so she couldn't escape. "I want you Kagome." Kouga said.

"Wha-what are you talking about?" Kagome stuttered.

"I've told you before you're my woman. You know exactly what I'm talking about." Kouga whispered.

"Kouga I don't like you like that." Kagome said. She hated to hurt him but he had to find out sometime.

"You do. You just don't know it yet." Kouga said. He leaned in and kissed her forcing his tongue in her mouth. Kagome tried to push him away but she wasn't strong enough. He kissed down her neck.

"Kouga stop." Kagome said still trying to push him off of her. "Stop Kouga!" She said louder.

He finally stopped when the door swung open. Kouga grabbed Kagome and moved away. "Inuyasha." Kagome whispered. She hadn't expected him to be there. He said he had things to do.

Inuyasha's blood boiled at the sight in front of him. Kagome looked like she was on the verge of tears and Kouga was holding her in his arms. "Let her go." Inuyasha said.

"No." Kouga said. He held Kagome tighter. "She's my woman."

"No she's not." Inuyasha said.

"Yes she is. What the hell are you going to do about it?" Kouga barked.

Inuyasha grabbed Kagome out of his arms and punched Kouga in the face. Miroku ran in and saw Kouga on the floor and tears threatening to spill from Kagome's eyes. "What the hell is going on in here?"

"Kouga is trying to start a fight." Inuyasha said. He was still trying to control his anger. If Miroku hadn't come in he would've hit him again.

"Kouga the club is closed." Miroku said.

Kouga got up and stopped at the door. "This isn't over yet. I'll make you mine Kagome." He said. He left.

Kagome slid to the floor after he left. "Kagome are you all right?" Inuyasha asked.

"I think so." Kagome said.

"Maybe you should go home. I can take you." Miroku said.

"I'll worry about her. You go back to work." Inuyasha said.

"If your sure." Miroku said. He left the room and shut the door behind him.

"Come on Kagome I'll take you home." Inuyasha said.

Kagome looked at him and the tears came. She couldn't understand why Kouga acted the way he did. Inuyasha hugged her even though he was afraid she would jerk away from him after what happened earlier. She didn't she grabbed onto him. "I don't get it." She cried.

"Get what?" Inuyasha said.

"He used to be so nice and good. I don't know what made him change." She said.

Inuyasha didn't know what to say. He didn't know about her past so he couldn't really say anything. "Come on." He said. He helped her stand and they walked out of the room.

Sango and Rin saw Kagome and was about to say something but was stopped when Inuyasha shook his head. They nodded and went back to work hoping to get answers tomorrow.

Inuyasha led her to his car. She got in but said nothing. Every once in a while new tears would stain her beautiful face. He decided to drive her to his house. She didn't seem like she should be alone.

He didn't even think Kagome knew he was driving her to his house. She should've been able to notice since she'd been there before. She looked like she was closing her self off. She was blankly staring at the scenery out the window.

Inuyasha just kept driving. He would worry about her when he got her to his place. He stopped in front of his place and got out. "Kagome." He said opening her door. He reached for her hand.

"What am I doing here?" She asked finally getting out of the daze she was in.

"You shouldn't be alone after what happened." Inuyasha said. "Come on."

She just nodded and took his hand. They walked inside his house. He turned on the light and led her to his couch. He went to his room to get her a change of clothes. He liked the bunny outfit she was in but he thought she might be uncomfortable in it.

He walked out of his room and handed her the clothes. "You can wear these. You can change in the bathroom."

Kagome nodded and went into the bathroom. She changed her clothes and washed her face. She walked back into the living room and sat down. Inuyasha looked at her. Her eyes were red.

"Do you want to talk about what happened?" Inuyasha asked. He knew he wasn't good at these types of things but for her he would try.

Kagome just looked at him before jumping on him and crying again. Inuyasha was shocked and fell back onto the couch. He held her and rubbed her back in an attempt to comfort her.

After a couple of minutes of crying Kagome calmed down. "Gomen, I didn't mean to jump on you." Kagome said sitting up.

"It's ok." Inuyasha said. He was disappointed that she got up. He sat up as well so he could look at her. "Are you ok now?"

"I'll be fine. I just don't understand Kouga. I've known him ever since elementary school. He was never like this before. He used to watch over me and protect me. You must think I'm stupid for crying." Kagome said.

"No, you're not stupid." Inuyasha said. "Don't think that."

"I'm sorry. Thank you for helping me. What were you doing there? I thought you had to do something." Kagome said.

"I got done early and thought I'd pick you up to give you a ride home." Inuyasha said.

"Arigato." Kagome said. She hugged him again. "I'm glad you came."

`I'm glad I did too.' Inuyasha thought. He hugged her back. "You can sleep here tonight."

"Arigato." Kagome said.

"You can sleep in the same room as last time." Inuyasha said.

"I'm getting tired so I think I'll go to bed now." Kagome said. "Thanks again."

Inuyasha grabbed her arm before she got up and kissed her. "Good night." He whispered. He got up and went into his room to sleep.

Kagome just sat there stunned for a minute. She then got up and went into the room she slept in last time. She didn't want to keep thinking about what happened earlier. She was really tired and fell asleep as soon as she pulled the blanket on.

A noise woke Kagome up. She looked around and remembered that she wasn't at home. She could still hear the noise. It sounded like the TV was on. Thinking it was Inuyasha she got up to ask him for some water.

She opened the door and walked out of the room. "Who's there?" Someone said. Kagome stopped in her tracks. That wasn't Inuyasha's voice.
