Chapter 31

Settling In

It had taken two days but Kagome was finally settled at Inuyasha's place. It had taken her so long because Inuyasha would complain about something being too `girly' or she wasn't moving fast enough. She would then stop whatever she was doing and sit down, just to make him mad. It worked VERY well.

Inuyasha spent an hour arguing with her about where to put certain things. Kagome finally gave up arguing and left. Inuyasha worried for hours of where she could be. She came home about three hours later with shopping bags in her hand.

That's where they had been, shopping. "You were out shopping?" Inuyasha asked.

"Hai." Kagome said. She went into her and Inuyasha's bedroom to put her things away. Inuyasha made his way into the bedroom. "I needed some things."

"You had me worried for hours." Inuyasha said.

"Where'd you think I'd be?" Kagome asked.

"I don't know!" Inuyasha yelled.

"You don't have to yell." Kagome said. "I was with Sango and Rin."

"You could've at least called." Inuyasha said.

"You never gave me the number remember?" Kagome said.

"Oh. Well, you could've at least came back and told me." Inuyasha said.

"Why, so we can get into another argument?" Kagome asked.

"We wouldn't have gotten into an argument." Inuyasha said.

"You don't know that." Kagome said as she put the things that she bought away.

Inuyasha just stood there and held in the anger. He wanted to yell at her but didn't. He was worried about her and didn't want to make it worse by making her leave again. It was too late for her to be walking around alone or even with people. "I'm sorry." Inuyasha mumbled.

"What?" Kagome asked.

"I said I'm sorry." Inuyasha said.

"That's a first." Kagome said.

"I just apologized, the least you could do was not say anything negative about it." Inuyasha said. He hated apologizing.

"I'm sorry too." Kagome said.

They both turned towards the door when it opened. "Do you mind keeping it down? I'm trying to sleep." Shippo said. He sounded like he was scolding two children.

"Gomen Shippo. We'll be quiet." Kagome smiled. "Oyasumi."

"Oyasumi." Shippo yawned. He walked back to his room.

"You need to keep your voice down." Kagome said.

"I wasn't being loud." Inuyasha defended himself.

"You were yelling earlier." Kagome said.

Inuyasha opened his mouth to argue but found it pointless. He was yelling earlier and didn't want to look stupid by lying. "Keh, let's just go to the club." Inuyasha said.

"What about Shippo?" Kagome asked.

"Myoga will be here to watch him." Inuyasha said. Just then the doorbell rang. "There he is."

They walked to the front door and opened it. "Arigato Myoga, for watching Shippo again." Kagome said.

Myoga smiled. "It's no problem." He said.

"Let's go." Inuyasha said.

Kagome rolled her eyes and grabbed her coat. "Bye Myoga." She waved.

"Bye Kagome, have fun." Myoga said and he shut the door.

"You're always so nice." Inuyasha said as they headed towards the parking lot.

"So what?" Kagome said. "You're always so mean."

"I don't like being nice." Inuyasha said.

"You're nice to me a lot. Well a lot more than to other people." Kagome said.

"That's different." Inuyasha said.

"How?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha grabbed her chin and leaned down to kiss her. He wrapped both arms around her waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He licked her lips for entrance, which she granted. They're tongues brushed past each other's for a brief moment before he pulled back and looked her in the eye. "Because you're my girlfriend." Inuyasha smirked.

Kagome blushed and looked away. Inuyasha chuckled as he tugged on her hand towards the car. They got in and Inuyasha drove to the club. Everyone was already inside when they got there. "You're late." Sesshomaru said.

"Just a couple minutes." Inuyasha said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Gomen." Kagome said.

"Now that everyone is here, we only have two days until the week is over." Miroku said.

"I liked our week off too." Sango said.

"I know." Kagome said.

"Oh well." Rin giggled.

"So then, what are tonight's outfits?" Miroku asked.

"They're in the back already. Inuyasha yours is the red one, Sesshomaru has black, and Miroku has the dark purple one." Sango said as the guys walked into the back.

A while later they walked out with just boxers on. Inuyasha had red, Sesshomaru had black, and Miroku had dark purple. "Who thought of these outfits?" Miroku asked.

"It was a request from one of the ladies." Sango said.

"We'll be in the back." Kagome said.

"Have fun." Rin giggled.

Another night over and the guys still hadn't gotten the hang of working at the club. They were on the floor again. "You still haven't gotten used to it?" Sango asked.

"They probably never will." Rin laughed.

"Shut up." Inuyasha said weakly.

Kagome laughed and held out her hand. "Come on let's go."

Inuyasha grabbed her hand and stood himself up. "Bye guys." Inuyasha said.

"Bye." Kagome said as Inuyasha dragged her out of the club. "Aren't you going to put your other clothes on?"

Inuyasha looked down and realized he still had his boxers on. "It's late, no one will see." Inuyasha said.

They both quickly got into the car and drove home. They opened their door and walked in. "We're back Myoga." Inuyasha said.

"Did you have fun?" Myoga asked seeing Inuyasha's clothing.

"Ha ha." Inuyasha faked a laugh. He walked into his room.

"Arigato Myoga." Kagome said.

Myoga nodded and left. Kagome walked into the room to find Inuyasha already in bed. Grabbing some pajamas she went into the bathroom to change. She put on a long blue nightgown and walked back to the room.

She crawled in on her side and pulled the blankets up. Inuyasha rolled over and wrapped his arms around Kagome. He kissed her bare shoulder and they both fell asleep.

The next day the sun shone in the room through the window, waking Kagome up. She rolled over to avoid the sun. She felt bodies moving on both sides of her. Opening her eyes she found one was Inuyasha and the other was Shippo. Sometime during the night he must've crawled in with them.

Kagome got up and walked into the kitchen. She decided to cook breakfast since she was up so early. She tied her hair up in a messy ponytail and tied an apron around her waist. She looked through all the cupboards and drawers trying to find things she needed to start cooking.

Inuyasha and Shippo woke up to the smell of breakfast. "Oi, what are you doing in here?" Inuyasha asked.

"I couldn't sleep." Shippo said.

"Don't make this an every night thing." Inuyasha said.

"Why? So you can kiss her all the time?" Shippo said.

"That's it. Your dead meat, runt." Inuyasha said.

Shippo jumped out of the way and off of the bed. He made a run for the door and opened it. He slammed it shut so Inuyasha would have a hard time getting out. Shippo saw Kagome and ran towards her, hiding behind her legs. Inuyasha came out and saw Shippo hiding. "Coward." Inuyasha muttered.

Shippo poked his head from behind Kagome's leg and stuck his tongue out at Inuyasha. "What's going on?" Kagome asked.

"Nothing." Inuyasha said.

"I made breakfast." Kagome said.

"Arigato." Inuyasha and Shippo said together.

After eating breakfast Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo sat down on the couch. "So what should we do today?" Kagome asked.

"Well everyone wants to get together and do something to celebrate our moving in." Inuyasha said.

"We should have a party!" Shippo said excitedly.

"I guess we could do a little party before we go to the club." Inuyasha said.

"Can I stay?" Shippo asked.

"Yeah, you can stay for the party." Inuyasha said. "You might get bored though."

"I can see if Sango will bring Kohaku. He's a little older but I'm sure they'll have fun." Kagome said.

"I'll call Sesshomaru and Miroku. You can call Sango and Rin afterwards if they aren't with the guys." Inuyasha said. He got up and went to go grab the phone.

I know it's really short but I'm seriously going through some writer's block. I've never had it this bad before so I don't know how long it will take to get the next chapter out. Sorry. Feel free to send some suggestions or ideas. Sorry if this chapter is a little boring. I don't know how long this fic will last. Let me know what you think. Ja ne.
