Chapter 45

Ignored

Inuyasha was mad. Kagome not only came home late, but she ignored him as she walked into the room. He heard the door open and stood up with his arms crossed. Kagome just walked past him into their room, and threw some things on the bed. She walked past him with not so much as a glance and started cooking.

He angrily watched as Kagome cooked and ignored him. Not so much as a hello was said. Nothing, she acted as if he wasn't even there. If he didn't know any better, he would've thought she didn't know he was there. She knew he was there. He tried coughing to get her attention but it proved to be useless.

Getting angrier by the minute he walked into their room and slammed the door shut. He was secretly hoping Kagome would've heard that and come in to see what was wrong. After five minutes and no show he gave up on hope. He hated being ignored, especially when his fucking girlfriend hadn't spent time with him at all in the last couple of days, and ignored him after being three hours later than she said she would.

Shippo heard the door slam and went to investigate. "Kagome, your home." He exclaimed.

Kagome didn't react at all. She kept on cooking. Shippo walked up to her and tugged on her skirt. "Kagome?" He said.

Kagome snapped out of whatever thoughts she had and looked down. "Shippo." She said.

"Are you ok? I called your name, and you didn't do anything." Shippo said.

"I'm fine. Gomen, I was just thinking." Kagome said. "Where's Inuyasha?"

"I think he's in your room. I heard the door slam, and I think it was him." Shippo said.

"Can you get him? The food is done." Kagome said.

"Hai." Shippo shouted as his tummy rumbled with hunger. He ran into Inuyasha's room and jumped on the bed. Unfortunately Inuyasha was sprawled out on the bed and Shippo jumped right on his stomach. He grunted from the force of Shippo's jump.

"Oi, runt!" Inuyasha yelled as best as he could with the stomach pains.

"Gomen." Shippo held up his hands. "I didn't know you were laying down."

Inuyasha bopped him on the head and sat up. "What did you come running in here for?"

"Kagome said dinner is ready." Shippo said.

"She talked to you?" Inuyasha asked, angry that she acknowledged the runt and ignored him.

"Hai, but I had to pull on her skirt. She said she was thinking and didn't notice." Shippo said.

Inuyasha's anger died down a little but not enough to be satisfied. Even if she was mad, she could still acknowledge him. He stood up and grabbed Shippo's shirt, dragging him out into the kitchen.

Kagome had just got done putting the rice and fish on their plates. She walked over to Inuyasha and kissed him on the cheek. "Gomen I was late. Sango and Rin wanted to stay out a little longer." Kagome said.

"Keh, like that's going to make up for ignoring me earlier." Inuyasha huffed.

"I didn't realize I ignored you. I was really deep in thought." Kagome said.

"That's no excuse." Inuyasha said.

Kagome rolled her eyes at his childishness and began to eat. Inuyasha grew even madder that she ignored him...again! Fine, if she was going to ignore him he would do the same. See how she likes it when the tables have turned.

Inuyasha and Kagome both walked into the club together. As soon as they reached the bar Inuyasha quickly headed towards the VIP room, still intending to ignore her. "What's with him?" Sango asked.

"I ignored him without realizing it, so he's mad." Kagome sighed. She didn't care about being ignored she was just tired of his temper.

"He's such a baby." Rin giggled.

"Is Sesshomaru at work?" Kagome asked when she noticed Sesshomaru wasn't present.

"He's already in the VIP room." Rin said. "He mumbled something about not wanting to look stupid and left."

"What is he talking about?" Kagome asked.

"Beats me." Rin shrugged her shoulders.

"Ah, everyone is here." Miroku said. "Costumes are in the back."

They watched as Miroku left and headed for the back room. "I wonder what it is this time." Sango said dryly.

"I don't know. Miroku said Kaede surprised him with an outfit so he doesn't even know what it is." Rin said.

"How do you know that?" Sango asked. She wondered how Rin knew that when she didn't even know. And she was his girlfriend.

"I asked him last night if he needed help on designs, and told me." Rin said. "I forgot to tell you. Gomen, I just have a lot of things on my mind."

"It's okay. Can't blame you, if I was in your position, I wouldn't be able to stay on track." Kagome said.

"I'd be worrying a lot." Sango said. "I don't even know how you came to work."

"I'm not that worried about it." Rin said, although her eyes betrayed her.

Kagome and Sango decided to let Rin live in denial for a little while longer. They couldn't blame her. Those test results could either make or break her. Anything could happen. Since it was Sesshomaru was unpredictable they didn't know what to expect.

"What's wrong with you?" Sesshomaru asked as Inuyasha walked into the room looking pissed.

"Kagome ignored me for the last couple of days and then didn't even notice me when she came home today. She was late too!" Inuyasha said.

"Calm down. She probably has good reason." Sesshomaru said.

"Good reason for what?" Miroku asked as he walked into the room. He took a seat and waited for someone to answer.

"Kagome's been ignoring me. Today she came home late, and didn't even notice me until I came out to eat." Inuyasha explained again.

"Maybe she has good reason." Miroku shrugged.

"You're both useless, you know that?" Inuyasha said.

"The problem obviously lies with Kagome." Miroku said. "Ask her about it."

"I'm too pissed off to even look at her." Inuyasha said.

At that moment the door opened and Inuyasha averted his eyes knowing it was Kagome. He refused to even look at her after all he went through earlier. "You guys want anything to drink?" Kagome asked.

"Now you want to know if I want something." Inuyasha said facing the wall with his eyes closed. He was still so tempted to look at what she was wearing.

"That's what Kaede-sama made for you guys?" Miroku asked.

"Hai." Kagome said wearily.

Miroku coughed into his hand. "If you'll excuse me I need to talk to Sango." He said and dashed out of the room.

"I shall see how Rin is doing." Sesshomaru said trying to be as discreet as possible.

That didn't help Inuyasha at all. Now more than ever did he want to turn around and gaze at her. Oh the possibilities of what she could be wearing. "What's your problem?" Kagome asked a little irritated.

"What's my problem? You didn't spend any time with me in the last couple of days and then ignored me all of today." Inuyasha shouted with his eyes still closed facing the wall.

"I told you I was thinking. Didn't I say earlier I would make it up to you? And what about the other day in the shower?" Kagome asked. "Will you look at me while we're discussing this?"

"No." Inuyasha said. "You ignored me all day, so now its your turn."

"You're being childish." Kagome said.

"Well I wouldn't have to be if you would've stopped ignoring me." Inuyasha said.

"I told you I was sorry. There's just some things that have been on my mind lately. I told you before you're my actual first boyfriend so sorry if I'm not doing things right." Kagome yelled. She stomped out of the room and slammed the door shut.

Inuyasha turned around intent on stopping her but she was already gone. `Dammit, I'm supposed to be mad at her...how did she turn it around and make me seem like the bad guy?' He wondered. `Guess I'll have to talk to her after work.'

Later that night after everyone left Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, and Miroku walked out of the VIP room. Sesshomaru and Miroku had come back eventually not really saying anything. Miroku had a glazed look in his eyes and Sesshomaru had a pleasant grin on his face. They would say nothing of their sudden mood changes.

Inuyasha stopped by the bathroom first and had already said goodbye to Miroku and Sesshomaru. When he walked into the bar area he noticed that everyone had already left but Kagome. Wait...Kagome? One look at her and his eyes almost sprang out of his head.

She was wearing the sexiest outfit he'd ever seen. He looked her up and down drinking in her curves and flawless skin. Kagome was wearing a black leather tube top, a black leather mini-skirt with a cattail, kitty ears on top of her head, knee high leather boots, and black leather gloves that went up to her elbows. The best part of the whole outfit was that it was skintight.

Oh the thoughts that ran through his mind right now. He shook his head from the images and tried to remain calm. He was still pissed off at her. His eyes couldn't tear away from the leather-covered beauty in front of him. Fuck it...the anger was now gone and now he was left with an erection. Damn, how he hated his weakness for her.

Kagome rolled her eyes and walked outside. "Hurry it up, I still have to lock up!" She shouted at him.

Inuyasha quickly ran outside granting her demand and stood by her side. How he wanted to kiss her right now. Was she still mad? "Are you still mad?" He asked.

"Your not mad anymore?" Kagome asked. `What's with the sudden mood changes?' She wondered.

"No. Not anymore." He said, as he looked her over once again.

"I'm still mad at you. You blame me for everything, and I told you you're my first boyfriend." Kagome said.

Inuyasha's heart beamed as she told him that. He was her first for a lot of things, first boyfriend, first kiss, first move in, first lover. "I'm sorry." Inuyasha said. He couldn't believe he apologized to her...especially after all she did.

"I'll forgive you...only because I've been ignoring you." Kagome said.

Inuyasha's lips were on hers as soon as she finished her sentence. He couldn't control himself any longer. If he didn't touch her even the slightest he was going to go mad. His hands slid down her body down to her waist. He rubbed his thumbs against the sides of her stomach while his tongue probed her mouth.

"What the hell are you doing?"

Oh no. Who is it? Can anyone guess? Hehe I'm really evil aren't I? I can't help myself. It only took me like a half an hour to write...well if you take away the interruptions. Hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Ja ne.

I know shopping for five hours. That's a long time. Trust me I know. I've done it plenty of times. We'd arrive at the mall at like three in the afternoon and wouldn't leave until closing time, which is about nine or ten. It's fun but sometimes it gets tiring.
