Chapter 52

Party

"Shippo, will you hurry up already?" Inuyasha yelled.

Inuyasha was starting to get mad...well madder. They were trying to get ready for the party at Sesshomaru's house. Inuyasha was ready in ten minutes flat. It had taken him forever to get Kagome ready. Now Shippo was taking his precious time too, and he didn't even have to dress nice.

"I can go slower." Shippo yelled from inside his bedroom.

"Will you quit harassing him? He'll be ready when he's ready." Kagome stepped out of the bedroom for the first time since Inuyasha threw her in there, which was about a half an hour ago.

His jaw dropped as Kagome came into view. She was wearing a short red dress that he'd bought for her. It stopped at mid thigh and it was strapless. She had red heels on her feet and her hair was up in a messy bun with strands of hair in her face. "You just had to pick the shortest dress didn't you?" Kagome asked.

"Of course." Inuyasha smirked. He stood up and rested his hands on her waist. He leaned down and kissed her.

"I thought you wanted to hurry and get to the party." Shippo kicked Inuyasha in the shin as he ran passed the couple.

"Shippo!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Come on Inuyasha, we're going to be late." Kagome took Shippo's hand and headed to the elevator.

Inuyasha glared at them as they walked away. They were the ones who were taking forever then have the nerve to rush him. Knowing he couldn't do anything about it, he sighed and followed after them.

"It took you long enough to get here." Sesshomaru said when Inuyasha arrived.

"Hey, I have both a girlfriend and a kid, so shut it. Don't say anything about yours because the baby isn't even born yet." Inuyasha said.

Sesshomaru just glared at him and turned around. "Where'd the girls go?"

"Upstairs to look at the baby's room." Miroku said.

"There's nothing up there." Sesshomaru said.

Miroku shrugged his shoulders. The girls came down the stairs. Rin ran to Sesshomaru's side. "Sessh, the girls had a great idea. We should wait to find out the sex of the baby before decorating the room." Rin said.

"I've said that many times before." Sesshomaru sighed.

"Really? I don't remember that." Rin said.

"Shippo, Kohaku is in the living room playing video games." Sango said.

"Hai!" Shippo said before running to join him. He stopped and on his way kicked Inuyasha in the other shin. "That's for earlier."

"Why you little-" Inuyasha was going to chase after him but stopped when Kagome grabbed his arm.

"Inuyasha, he's just a kid." Kagome said.

"That kid just kicked me." Inuyasha said.

"Remind me to never have Inuyasha baby-sit." Sesshomaru said.

"You're never going to have kids if you keep treating Shippo that way." Miroku said.

"Oh and I suppose your doing better with your lecherousness?" Inuyasha asked.

"Ah...well." Miroku laughed nervously.

"I hope your not suggesting that Miroku would molest his own kids." Rin said.

"What? That's not what I meant. He's not going to be a good role model if he keeps acting that way." Inuyasha explained.

"That's true." Sango said.

"Does that mean you'll consider bearing my child?" Miroku asked.

Sango turned red and hit him, knocking him to the floor. "In your dreams, hentai." She yelled.

"Don't worry, it always happens in my dreams." Miroku said and earned another hit for it.

"I hope one of you two are sterile." Inuyasha said.

Kagome hit Inuyasha. "That's a horrible thing to say."

"Admit it. Either their kid would end up a pervert or an abusive child." Inuyasha said.

"That's not true. Neither of my parents was abusive." Sango said. "And neither am I. And I'm sure neither of Miroku's parents were perverts."

Miroku laughed nervously as he stood up. "Well, my father was a well known playboy until he settled down with my mother."

"You're kidding me." Sango said in disbelief.

"No, I'm not." Miroku said.

"Oi, when are we going to eat?" Inuyasha asked.

"Once we all get to the dining room." Sesshomaru said.

"Great, I'm hungry." Inuyasha said.

"You're always hungry." Kagome rolled her eyes.

"Well, a man's gotta eat." Inuyasha said.

"True, true." Miroku said.

After dinner everyone went into the living room. It was a different one from the one Shippo and Kohaku were in. It was white. There were couches on opposite sides of each other and that was all that was in there.

"It's really plain in here." Inuyasha said. "I don't ever remember seeing this room like this."

"That's because the last time you came over you passed out from that fight." Sesshomaru said.

"Fight?" Kagome asked.

"He got in a fight with some idiot downtown and walked all the way back. The guy was down in one hit but apparently he brought some friends with weapons." Sesshomaru said.

"Cowardly bastard." Inuyasha said.

"What did you get in a fight with him for?" Miroku asked.

"He didn't like my hair." Inuyasha said.

"That's really childish." Kagome said.

"Oi, he started it." Inuyasha said.

"Still being childish." Kagome said.

Inuyasha just glared at her from the corner of his eye. "Well, with all childishness aside, I have something to announce." Sesshomaru said.

He kneeled down in front of Rin and pulled out a box. Everyone gasped, they knew what he was going to do. Rin's mouth opened as she started at him. She couldn't believe what was happening.

"I love you Rin. Will you marry me?" Sesshomaru asked.

Tears streamed down her face as she jumped into his arms. "Hai, I will." She cried and they both kissed.

"Get a room." Inuyasha rolled his eyes.

"Then get out." Sesshomaru said as he sat down next to Rin. He placed the ring on her finger. Rin knocked him out of the way so Sango and Kagome could admire the ring. He sighed and sat down next to Inuyasha. Maybe he shouldn't have done it in front of them. Oh well, what's done is done.

"I'm going to get a drink." Miroku said and stood up to go to the kitchen.

"I'm getting thirsty too." Inuyasha stood up. "Anyone else want something?"

The girls ignored him as they talked about the ring. "I think I'll join you." Sesshomaru stood. He just wanted to get away from the girls' chatter.

"What possessed you to propose?" Inuyasha asked.

"Your not marrying her just because she's pregnant, are you? As honorable as that may be, its not right to marry if your not in love." Miroku said.

"Of course I'm not. I said I loved her and I do." Sesshomaru said.

"Well, that's good." Miroku said.

"The old ball and chain." Inuyasha said. "You're leashed for life."

"Like you aren't?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Face it, we're all leashed." Miroku said. "We're wrapped around their fingers."

"We're glad you think that way." Rin said as all three girls walked into the kitchen.

All the guys grew pale. They looked like they wanted something and more than likely they weren't going to like it. "What do you want?" Inuyasha asked.

"Nothing really...we just wanted to go shopping tomorrow." Kagome said.

"Then go." Inuyasha still scared that there was more.

"Well, we need you guys there. I can't carry too much stuff you know." Rin said.

"I knew there was more." Inuyasha muttered.

"So, since we have you wrapped around our fingers, then we'll meet at the mall at about one." Sango said.

Before the guy's could say anything the girls left chattering about what they were going to buy. "I knew we were going to regret that." Miroku said.

"This isn't going to be fun." Sesshomaru said.

"Do you think we can make up excuses?" Miroku asked.

"Didn't anyone tell you to never anger a pregnant woman?" Sesshomaru asked.

"And another day alone with Kagome is gone." Inuyasha said.

"What are you talking about?" Miroku asked.

"I haven't been able to spend any alone time with Kagome. The day we were supposed to spend together was blown by Sesshomaru's stupidity, and then by Miroku's." Inuyasha said.

"I assure you I've done nothing." Sesshomaru said.

"Well, no thanks to you running out on Rin after she told you she was pregnant, and Miroku's love confession." Inuyasha said.

"You're the one that picked the day." Miroku said. "If it makes you feel any better, I'll give Kagome the night off so you can get some alone time."

"Hmm." Inuyasha thought. Now he had to think of something good.

"What have I done now?" Miroku asked.

So sorry for not updating in so long. My computer broke around the last time I updated and I just barely got a new one. Sorry. Well I hope you like the chapter. I know you've all waited for it and once again I'm sorry.
