A Problem Solved

Kagome screamed and struggled out of the arms of whoever grabbed her. "Will you stop that?"

She stopped struggling as she recognized whose voice it was. "Kouga! What do you think your doing? Let me go!" She yelled.

"Not until we talk." Kouga said and pressed the emergency stop button.

"Why are you doing this?" Kagome asked.

"I told you. You're my woman."

"I am not! I don't belong to you! What the hell happened to you? You used to be so sweet. My friend."

"I was always a friend. You couldn't tell I wanted more than that?"

"No, I couldn't. If you knew me so well, then you would've known I don't notice that kind of stuff!"

"I knew that. When I finally got the courage to tell you, you were seeing that baka silver haired guy!"

"I can't help it if you were too late. Kouga, I like you as a friend. Nothing more. It wouldn't have worked out anyway. You just came in and tried to force yourself on me while I was at work!"

"There was no other way I could get it through to you!"

"You had to force yourself on me? That's no way to get through to me! It doesn't matter now! I'm happy with Inuyasha. I don't even think we can be friends anymore after what you've done!" Kagome yelled.

"So that's it. You won't even give me a chance?" Kouga said sadly.

"No, you don't deserve one Kouga." Kagome said.

Kouga let her go and she backed up against the elevator wall. The elevator made a noise before it started going up to the floor it was previously on before being stopped. It opened and Kagome gasped as she was jerked out of the elevator. She didn't realize she was leaning against the door.

"You fucking bastard! What did you do to her?" Inuyasha yelled as he held Kagome tightly.

"Don't, Inuyasha. He didn't do anything." Kagome said as she turned to look at Kouga.

He had his head bent knowing he'd never have what he wanted. He just pushed a button and the doors slowly closed. "What the hell is his problem?" Inuyasha asked.

"Just let it go." Kagome said. "Hey, where are my bags?"

"Umm..." Inuyasha said. "They're around here somewhere...I think."

"Inuyasha." Kagome said angrily. "Where are my bags?"

"They're over here." Miroku said. "He was about to throw them and I grabbed them before he did."

"Arigato Miroku." Kagome said. "Can we go home now? It's been a long day."

"Yeah whatever." Inuyasha said. He knew Kagome wasn't in the mood to talk about what happened. "We have to pick Shippo up anyway."

"See you later Kagome. Call me when you get the chance." Sango said.

"Me too." Rin smiled.

"Bye guys." Kagome waved. She grabbed a bag while Inuyasha got the rest and silently walked out to the car.

He knew something was bothering her. She had a distant look in her eyes as she looked out the window. "Kagome, what did he do?" Inuyasha asked as he drove to the daycare.

"Nothing. We just talked." Kagome said still looking outside.

"What did you talk about?" Inuyasha asked.

Kagome stayed silent for a while. "It was nothing, but if you really want to know I'll tell you later tonight." She said.

"Alright." Inuyasha said letting the subject drop for now.

Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo all walked through the door to their home. Shippo went to his room to play video games. He noticed no one was in the mood for his goofing around. So to be little bit of help he went to his room to play.

Inuyasha and Kagome walked into their room to put the bags down. She began to put her things away while Inuyasha laid down on the bed. The day was so tiring and it wasn't even half over yet.

"We should start filling out Shippo's adoption papers." Kagome said. (I don't know crap about the adoption process so whatever I'm saying I'm making up. Sorry if I'm wrong but hey it's a fic.)

"Come on." Inuyasha grabbed her hand and led her into the living room. They both sat down on the couch and started reading through the documents.

A couple hours later and the papers were read and signed. "That took forever." Kagome said as she sat back on the couch.

"Who knew it took so much to adopt a kid?" Inuyasha said.

"Well it's for Shippo so I don't mind." Kagome said. "It's so nice of you to adopt him."

"Keh, I'm only doing it because he needs a father figure in his life." Inuyasha said. "And for you."

Kagome smiled and leaned over to kiss him. Inuyasha dominated the kiss and slipped his tongue in for a quick taste. He pulled back and brought her into his lap. "So what did Kouga say?" Inuyasha asked.

Kagome rolled her eyes and moved to go to the bedroom. Inuyasha followed her and joined her on the bed. "Are you going to tell me?" He asked.

"Hmm, I don't know." Kagome said.

Inuyasha pounced on her forcing her on her back. He held her arms down at her sides. "Tell me." He said.

"He was just asking some questions about why I refused him." Kagome said.

"What did you tell him?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Kagome teased.

Inuyasha glared at her and began to tickle her. "Tell me or else." He warned.

"Alright I'll tell you...just stop tickling me!" Kagome laughed. Inuyasha stopped and waited for her to catch her breath. "I just told him that I was happy with you and only had friendly feelings towards him."

"Good answer." Inuyasha said and leaned down to kiss her. Pulling back he asked, "He didn't touch you, did he?"

"No, he only pulled me inside the elevator." Kagome rolled her eyes.

"That's touching you. That bastard is going to get it." Inuyasha threatened.

"Let it go. He's not going to do anything anymore." Kagome said.

"Keh, whatever." Inuyasha said. "But if I ever see him again, I'll-"

Kagome cut him off by pressing her lips against his. Inuyasha let her off for interrupting him but only because today was a hard day. He let go of her wrists and moved his hands under her shirt.

As soon as his hands touched her skin Shippo ran into the room. "What are you doing?" Shippo asked.

"What do you want runt?" Inuyasha asked while pulling Kagome into sitting position.

"I'm hungry." Shippo said.

"I'll start cooking dinner." Kagome said.

"Let's just go out for dinner. We can walk to that burger place down the street." Inuyasha said. "Get your coat."

"Hai." Shippo said and ran to his room.

"That little runt needs to work on his timing." Inuyasha said.

"Or you should work on your timing." Kagome laughed.

"You started it!"

"Started what? All I did was kiss you."

"That just started the whole thing."

"What whole thing? I don't know what you're talking about."

"Why you..."

"Let's go." Shippo shouted.

"Hold your horses!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Come on Inuyasha. Shippo's hungry." Kagome said.

"You're going to get it when we get back." Inuyasha threatened Kagome.

"All you've been doing today is threatening me." Kagome said as she dragged Inuyasha out of the room.
