Chapter 002 - Arrival

Kagome sighed heavy as she packed what few belongs she has acquired while she had stayed at Naraku's mansion. She wrapped her few little trinkets into a small piece of cloth she had, spare from making herself a kimono and tied the four corners together so nothing would fall through the sides as she had to carry it for a few hours.

"Ready?" Kagura asked as she pushed the door open, without even knocking and glared at Kagome as she stood.

"Yes…" She said softly, diverted her gaze toward the wooden floor lowly, and sighed as she walked past Kagura and down the hall slowly. I wish I could have taken little Shippou with me…I will miss him so much. She thought sadly, as she glanced over at the room she knew was the small kits.

"Kagome! No don't go without me!" Shippou yelled in a panic as he ran past Kagura and leapt up into Kagome's arms causing her to drop her belongs to the floor and embrace him quickly.

"Oh, Shippou…" She said and hugged the small boy sadly. "I'm sorry but I have to leave…" She said in a calm tone and sighed as she looked down at the pleading eyes of the small kit.

"No…Please stay…" Shippou begged in a whimpering tone as he buried his nose in against her neck and sobbed lowly.

Kagome sighed defeated and turned and looked at Kagura. "Do you believe Master Naraku would allow me to keep young Shippou with me?" She asked softly, almost above a whisper as she looked at the wind demon curiously.

"The worthless whelp hangs around here and steals most of the food so the Master would care not for you to take him with you…He wants rid of him as much as he does you…" Kagura said angrily, glared at Kagome, and crossed her arms lightly.

She hugged Shippou closer at the evil stare from Kagura was shot toward her. "Oh…" She said lowly and smiled down at the kit motherly. Then she turned and reached down lightly and picked her small pack up and started again for the door.

Outside, in the still dim morning air a cloud of dread hung over Kagome heavy. I wonder where they are sending me. Will they be cruel or anything like Master Naraku? Which lands? She thought as thousands of questions seemed to flow through her mind as she sighed and stepped out onto the dirt path that lead away from the mansion then noticed two men who were ready to escort her to the new home she was afraid to go too.

"Take this worthless creature to the Western Lands. She has been given as a gift to the youngest son for a birthday present…" Kagura said as she looked at the two guards then shifted her gaze to Kagome and the small kit that seemed to be shivering at her death gaze.

"Yes, M'lady." The guards said and bowed respectively, they each grabbed one of Kagome's upper arms, and started to make her walk, slightly faster than she could as they started west.

"Later weak asses!" A young hanyou boy, around 17 yelled back at about twelve guards chasing him yelling for him to come back. "Feh!" Was all that came from the hanyou's mouth as he turned back to where he was going, his long flowing silver hair trailing in the breeze as he leapt up into a tree and then back down to the ground and in a hurried fashion made his way away from the large castle of the Western Lands.

"Where do you think you are going, little brother?" A low, emotionless voice asked and a pair of soft, yet cold amber eyes stared down at the hanyou boy who had just feel back due to impact. "Father told you not to try that again…" He said in a bored tone and looked at his little brother annoyed.

"Ah, fuck off Sesshomaru!" The hanyou boy yelled and stood angrily and glared at his elder half brother, Sesshomaru.

"Inuyasha, you should learn to watch your mouth…" Sesshomaru said and used his clawed hand to brush a stray lock of silver hair back behind his pointed ear, showing his two purple stripes on his cheek and a glint of sun shimmered through the trees shining off his forehead making the purple crescent shape on his forehead to appear brighter.

"Oh fuck off…" Inuyasha said annoyed and turned and started back to the castle and grunted angrily. I'll never get out of this damn hell hole…Why in seven hells do they keep me here anyway…He thought and grumbled to himself lowly as he walked, his elder brother not far behind him. Making sure, he would not try to make a quick retreat.

"Inuyasha, you promised you wouldn't try that again…" A woman, who seemed human, said as she walked over to Inuyasha once he was inside the castle walls and looked up at him, her dark violet eyes staring into his amber ones worried. In addition, her long black hair tied back loosely.

Inuyasha did not say anything to the woman he only huffed and looked away from her annoyed.

"My son," A rough yet calm voice asked as a tall, Inu youkai walked up next to the woman and looked down at Inuyasha disappointed. "You lied to your mother and me." He said, his amber eyes scolding as he stared at his son, his long silver hair tied back into a high ponytail and a single stripe on each of his cheeks.

"I did not, I just told you I hated this place and I didn't want to stay here!" Inuyasha growled back and then he quickly diverted his gaze when his gaze met up with his fathers.

"My love…" The woman said and put his hand up to her mates arm lightly and nodded over to two guards bringing a young woman and a small kit into the castle gates. "Is that the young girl that Naraku sent for Inuyasha?" She asked curiously and looked the young girl, who was Kagome over curiously.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru turned a little and looked at Kagome and Inuyasha only snarled, turned, and walked past his father and into the castle annoyed that someone would give him such a worthless gift.

"What are you going to do with her, father?" Sesshomaru asked calmly as he walked a little closer to his father.

"She was given to Inuyasha but she will be treated with respect here…She can meet Inuyasha at dinner…" Inutaishou, said as he turned, his arm lightly over his mates shoulder as they turned and nodded to a servant to take the girl up to a room and clean her up.

Author's Note: Sorry it is a short chapter but I could not think of a name that suited Inuyasha's mother. So it would be nice if you, the reviewers could give me some ideas for names…Since in the anime and mangas Inuyasha's mothers name was never revealed. Well enjoy the chapter…
