Chapter 3

Ride home

"This bus is a lot emptier than the one before." Yuka said from her spot at the back of the bus.

The bus was indeed empty, except for a bum and a few guys who were watching Kagome intently.

"No shit Sherlock." Inuyasha snapped at Yuka.

Sango was lying on the back seats, with her head on Yuka's lap. Eri was sitting on a seat right by Yuka and Sango, talking quietly with the two. Inuyasha and Kagome were sitting in the middle/back next to one another.

Inuyasha was in the inside and Kagome was on the outside. They had been talking, but their conversation had faded off. Now they were sitting in silence. Kagome stared to look around the bus, trying to find something to take her mind of the hanyou beside her. Then her eyes connected with the dark ones in the front.

A cold shiver went down her back as she looked back into the dark pools. She pulled her eyes away from his and studied his features. He was a little older than Kagome with long wavy black hair. His eyes were dark, and they brought back painful memories and feelings to Kagome. He was wearing practically black everything, save for the tiny white line on his shirt.

Kagome looked back into his eyes, trying to figure out what they showed that made her feel so violated in a way. Then she was a tiny hint of desire, lust; his eyes were craving for her. She looked back at the seat in front of her before back at the man. He had moved a little closer. At this point now Kagome was freaked.

"Inuyasha. That guy over there in all black is giving me the creeps." Kagome whispered to him.

He looked up from the window to the front, where the guy sat. He did look creepy, and he couldn't blame Kagome for it.

"Don't worry he won't do anything. People are like that." He said turning back to his window.

But he kept peeking at the guy, not trusting him one bit. Kagome on the other hand was getting even more creeped out by the minute. She wanted to get off this bus ASAP. So she decided to ask the driver how long it would take to get to her stop.

She got up out of her seat, and started walking down the aisle, while grabbing the seats to keep herself from falling down. She felt the guys eyes on her as she walked by him, but she did her best to ignore him as she kept walking.

"Excuse me sir. When do you think we will be arriving at the East 14th and Brodrick stop?" She asked the driver politely.

"About ten to fifteen ma'am." He said gruffly back to her.

"Thanks." She said as she turned around.

She started to walk back a little quicker, since the guy had moved closer to her up front. She was almost past him when he jumped up and out of his seat, blocking her path. She tried to go around him, but he stayed in her way.

"Can you please move?" She asked irritably.

"Why so soon babe? Stay and have a little fun." He said in a voice that chilled her to the bone.

"No it's okay, I think I'll pass." She said trying to go around him again, but failed.

"Stay, have fun. I don't bite." He said grabbing Kagome's arm.

She looked down at it, then back to his face. She pulled her arm, but his grip only tightened.

"Can you please let go of me?" She said angrily.

"Why? So you can go back to your friend over there? I don't think he'll mind if I just have a little taste." He said leaning in.

She leaned back away from him and pushed him away with her free hand. Then she said the only thing that came to her head.

"He's my boyfriend, so I think he will mind."

"Really now. You two didn't seem too intimate you know." He said loosening his grip on her.

"Well maybe I just wasn't because you were watching, I can show you if you want?" She said yanking her arm away.

She looked at him, waiting for him to move. He stood there for a few more seconds before moving away, back into his seat. Kagome walked back to Inuyasha, and then sat down. She glanced back up at the guy, who seemed to be watching her still, though not as obvious. She knew what he wanted to see.

"Inuyasha," She said leaning over so her mouth couldn't be seen. "That creep over there tried to…uh…get some from me, and I kinda told him…thatyouweremyboyfriend." She said quickly.

He looked at her confused.

"And I don't think he believes me and so umm…I was wondering if you could you know, play along?" She said nervously.

"Uh…what do I have to do?" He asked stupidly.

Kagome smiled at him, then back to the guy. "Follow my lead." She said turning back to Inuyasha.

He was about to question her when she had a certain glint in her eye, telling him everything.

"Or how about mine?" He said reaching over and hooking an arm around her waist and pulling her onto his lap.

She made a quiet squeak as he did so, but let him. She put an arm around is neck as he pulled her in closer to him. It happened so fast that it almost caught Kagome off guard. Inuyasha dove forward, catching Kagome's lips with his own. Her eyes fluttered closed as she put a little more effort into the `innocent' kiss.

Her free hand reached up and lightly grazed his jaw-line, cradling it ever so slightly. His arms tightened around her, pulling her closer to deepen the kiss. Soon the acting was over for Inuyasha, and he was doing what he had wanted to do for a long time. But all good things come to an end, and then Inuyasha pulled away, needing oxygen.

Kagome was gasping for air, feeling a little hot after their little kiss. She dropped her hand onto her lap, as she looked over at the guy. He had a scowl on his face and was looking out the window now. What Kagome didn't know was that he hadn't been the only audience. The three stooges were watching them with open mouths, gawking at the sight.

"Is it just me or is it getting a little hot in here?" Eri said.

Kagome started to blush deeply as she put her head on Inuyasha's shoulder. Inuyasha merely sat there with a grin on his face.

The three started into a fit of giggles until the bus finally rolled to their stop. Kagome slid off Inuyasha's lap and then exited the bus with him following her. They each went their own separate ways after the byes were said.

The walk home was completely silent between the two, both still a little short of words from earlier. Kagome blushed at the thought of it.

Dinner went by with much blushing, from the two teens, and many muffled replies to many questions. Kagome's face was probably permanently stained from the memory of the bus ride as she sat at the table poking at her food.

Kagome went into the bathroom right after dinner was over to have a bath. She needed one badly. She started running the water and was about to get in when she realized that she hadn't brought in a CD this time. (She has a CD player in the bathroom.)

She wrapped a towel around herself, a short one at that, and opened the door. She stepped out into the hallway, seeing no one at all, and then stepped inside her room. As soon as she had gotten her CD she didn't hear before someone go in.

She stepped inside, completely oblivious to the guy standing at the sink with a toothbrush in his mouth, and popped the mix CD in the CD player. Her towel was practically falling off her when she turned around to see an open mouthed Inuyasha. He had toothpaste around his mouth and his toothbrush was hanging out of his mouth, even with his hand gripping it.

Kagome stared at him, noticing that he had almost seen her chest. She covered herself up quickly, revealing more and more of her leg. She started to blush deeply when she hadn't realized that he was in there.

"Oh crap." She said taking a seat on the toilet.

Inuyasha continued to stare at the spot where he had seen her, still in the same position. He came back to his senses when some of the foamy stuff fell on his foot. He came back to and shook his head, trying to gain back his senses.

He looked over at Kagome, who was looking at him with a red face.

"I'll uhh…finish up downstairs." He said turning around and leaving Kagome alone.

Though as he exited the bathroom, closing the door tightly, he ran right into his room with his toothbrush. He had gotten a little *cough* hard.

Kagome on the other hand was still having troubles coming back to reality. She couldn't believe that she was so dumb not to see him standing there. She scolded herself over and over, trying to gain back what little pride she had left and continued with her bath for the time being. She would deal with Inyasha later.

Inuyasha had long brushed his teeth and was sitting in his room listening to the silent house, waiting to put back his toothbrush in the bathroom. Kagome was taking forever! Though he couldn't blame her, after what had happened and all.

`These people need to learn to use locks.' He thought to himself as he got up as he heard Kagome's footsteps in the bathroom.

He grabbed his toothbrush and opened his door. As he left his room, stepping out into the hallway, Kagome opened up the bathroom door. She was wearing her PJ's this time. A white tee shirt and dark blue sweatpants pulled under her heels at the bottom.

At the top of her sweatpants were her bright pink panties that they had both held onto this morning. They both watched each other as they wen their separate ways. Inuyasha into the bathroom, and Kagome into her room.

Kagome left her door open a crack, not purposely by any means. Right away she made her way to her bed with a bright red face from the memories. She had forgotten momentarily about what Inuyasha had seen, but what she had seen. That is when she walked in on Inuyasha this morning. She knew that if he had tried to make fun of her in anyway, she would just come back with one of her own, concerning his manly part.

Kagome laughed quietly to herself as she plopped down on her bed. The bath was soothing after her long days work, and she did indeed need some `me' time, but now she was bored and needed something to do.

She realized that she had forgotten her CD one again in the bathroom and so she decided to go get it since she was completely bored after so little time. She grabbed the CD out of the player and put it the closest case in there. She would probably listen to it tomorrow or the next day.

She was about to go into her room when she paused at the wall between the two doors. Inuyasha's was open a tiny sliver and she could see him lying on his bed with his hands behind his head. He was lying shirtless with a pair of black sweatpants on. She could've stayed there looking at him, but the ears on his head twitched, which made her laugh. Now she knew that he knew she was there.

She pushed the door open with one finger, standing in his doorway with her eyes on him. He looked up at her, wondering why she was there. She leaned against the frame and then searched her mind to figure out why she was there. The truth was she didn't know why, but it did seem like a good idea when it came to her.

"Yes?" He asked from his bed.

"What?" She asked stupidly.

"What do you want wench?" He asked a little more aggressively.

"Oh right. Nothing, nothing. I'm just a little bored that's all. Came to see what you're up to." She said stepping inside the room.

"Well there ain't much to see here. I'm just as bored as you are." He said moving into a sitting position.

"It's better than being bored by myself." She said sitting on the edge of his bed.

He felt slightly uncomfortable at the distance between the two, after what had happened and all. The sat there in awkward silence, neither having a thing to be said. That's when her mom came upstairs to the room to announce that she was going to bed did Kagome have something to say.

She waited until her mom was out of earshot when she turned back to Inuyasha and crawled over to him. He tensed up a bit as she crawled over to him, especially when she reached her lips up to his ear, slightly brushing against his ear.

"Okay you want to have some fun?" She whispered into his ear, her breath tickling his ear.

"Sure." He said simply.

"Right then, let's go." She said pulling away.

He let out a relieved breath as she left the room, letting himself cool down for a second. Her breath was driving him insane with desire, wanting to kiss her soft and full lips just once more. He gathered up his breath before sliding out of bed.

He grabbed a shirt and then shoved it on over his head; it just happened to be a black and lime green Sum 41 shirt. Kagome re-appeared at his door with a thin baby blue hooded zip-up sweatshirt and her white skate shoes on.

"Where exactly are we going?" He asked her quietly.

She walked in a little further, walking closer to him so her mother wouldn't pick up anything. She motioned for him to come down a little bit so she could whisper her answer. He did so.

"You're just going to have to see now won't you?" She said in a seductive tone that made Inuyasha feel like his heart was going to beat out of body from the torture she was causing him.

She grinned at him with a devious look in her eyes as she turned around and tied up her hair in a high ponytail. Inuyasha grabbed his toque off his floor and shoved it on his head while at the same time picking up his black West 49 sweatshirt.

He almost stumbled as he slipped on his shoes, but managed to catch himself. She was in her bedroom waiting for him with an open window.

"Close the door." She whispered to him.

He complied and closed the door as she ordered, then met her at the window. When he was waiting for more orders, she climbed through her window and slid down to the edge of her roof. Inuyasha did the same and closed the window a touch.

He followed her down to the edge of the roof and peered down. There was nothing there, except a few stray pieces of paper that had probably gotten away from the recycling bin. Kagome look down at the round uneasily.

"What's wrong?" He asked looking from the ground to the girl.

"There's supposed to be the pile of boxes down there to break my fall." She said quietly.

Suddenly a grin spread across his face and he stood up to his full height. Kagome looked back up at him and stood up beside him.

"What's got you all smiley?" She asked.

He didn't answer in words though; he picked her up bridal style and jumped down off the roof. He landed with much grace on his two feet and then put her back down. She was speechless from his sudden action. She turned to him and gave a quick smile.

"Thanks." She said turning back to her little situation.

The wind slightly blew, making Kagome shiver slightly, but she kept to her task. She peered around until she decided that it was safe. She took off into a run, heading towards the stairs. She leapt down a few sets before skipping the last 5. Inuyasha just completely skipped all of them, landing beside her.

"Show-off." She muttered as she took off again to her left.

Inuyasha was quick so he could easily catch up to her. She was going a little slow on his part so he came up behind her and scooped her up, once again bridal style.

"What are you doing?" She asked loudly.

"You're too slow for my superior speed. Tell me which way." He said looking at his surroundings.

She told him the way to their destination, and in no time they were there. Actually almost there. They were hiding behind a building, to keep out of sight of the camera's. Kagome just needed to get to the back door and she was good. But there were camera's everywhere.

Inuyasha had picked them out easily, and he knew what to do, but he had to do it without being seen. He looked around for some or anything of the sort until his nose picked up the scent of mud. He followed his nose until he had two handfuls of it.

Without telling Kagome, he zoomed off and threw enough mud on the lenses without being seen. If he was seen, he'd be only a blur of speed. Once he was finished, he landed at the back door, waiting for Kagome to run out from behind the corner.

And that's what she did.

She ran as fast as she could towards him, afraid that someone might spot her. But luckily no one did. She slowed her pace when she was a few feet from him, not wanting to collide with him.

"That was…fast." She said as she caught her breath.

"Well what can I say?" He said jokingly.

Kagome flashed him a quick smile before moving behind him to the door. She picked up her shoe and started to reach inside for something. She lifted up the inside to it and pulled out some tiny tools before putting in back down.

She bent down so she could face the lock and then started to pick the lock. Amazingly after only a few moments there was a faint `click' heard and she opened the door. But she wasn't done yet. She walked over to a panel on the wall and started to punch in some numbers.

Then all the lights turned on and a small room filled with cupboard and cupboard of something. There was also paint all over everything.

"Where are you…where are you…" Kagome thought aloud looking around under the cupboards for something.

She felt around many of them until she let out a squeak of excitement. She pulled out a key and then opened the lock in front of her. When the door swung open, he knew exactly what was stored in this room.

Paintball guns.

Kagome was busy looking around inside to notice the look on Inuyasha's face. She pulled out a gun and then closed back up the cupboard and lock. She barely uttered a word to Inuyasha as she grabbed a refill and then turned back to the back door.

"Let's go." She said pushing open the door for him to exit.

He followed her order, afraid that she would turn the gun on him. She punched more numbers in on the pad before the lights flickered out and then she went out.

The door locked immediately after she let it close and she put the tiny tools back in her shoe. They walked till they were out of sight of the camera's until Kagome talked.

"Now we're going to have a little fun with this." She said with a grin.

"And here I thought you were little miss innocent." He said with a smirk.

They walked to the park where they could hide in the bushes while shooting people. Yes it was illegal but it was so hard to resist the temptation of firing harmless paintballs at passer by-ers. They were ready in position and were waiting for someone to come and be their first target.

"Ah, here comes our first target, Mr. Clueless." Kagome whispered as she aimed the gun at the moving target. (A/N: Let me remind you that this is NOT a real gun, but a PAINTBALL gun. Thanks!)

She followed him slowly before pulling the trigger. It hit him in the leg, a bright yellow one too. He stopped and looked at his leg. He started to mutter something that only Inuyasha could pick up before looking around the bushes and continuing on his way.

Kagome put a hand over her mouth so she wouldn't give away their spot. She handed the gun over towards Inuyasha.

"Now you try." She said quietly.

He took it not knowing if it was right or not. But as his ears picked up a likely target, a bunch of teenage sluts walking and giggling in their tiny skirts and their tiny tube tops and pounds of make-up. He smiled evilly to himself before positioning the gun.

"Watch this wench." He said before pulling the trigger four times, hitting each girl with either lime green, hot pink, dark purple or white paintball.

They each shrieked as they tried to rub the paint off. They didn't bother hanging around and ran away with shrieks.

This time Kagome almost had a hernia from all the laughter she was keeping inside of her. She was clutching her stomach and she was lying on the grass. She looked up at him with tears falling down her face.

"That…was…too…perfect!" She managed to get out.

She grabbed back the gun and waited for her next target. This time it was a bum, a very scary and old looking bum. When she fired it, she hit him in the stomach because he turned towards her. But he didn't react the way the others did. He knew exactly where it came from and started to advance.

"Oh crap…" Kagome said quietly abandoning the gun and starting to run away.

Inuyasha was right behind her, or more like in front of her. She reached out and grabbed one of his hands before he could go and abandon her in the middle of the dark park with an angry and scary bum after her.

He glanced back to see her holding his hand tightly, her small fragile hand in his large and rough one. He enclosed his around hers and continued to run, though more at her speed.

The bum very far behind them had stopped at the bush where they had been hiding and was examining the paintball gun closely. His finger traced across the trigger, but it ended up firing one off and hitting an owl which fell right to the ground.

He looked at the bird with hungry eyes and whispered to no one in particular "Mmm…dinner!"

There is my beautiful ending. Once again tell me if you think that I'm doing anything wrong because I respect your opinion, or at least some of them. LOL! Anyway yeah.
