Chapter 4

Dinner

Kagome woke up the next morning and took a shower. She changed and went downstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat. She told Souta she would go to his soccer game because her mom couldn't make it.

After she ate the phone rang. She got up and answered it, "hello."

"Hey Kagome."

"Rin? How have you been? Did you have fun on your vacation?"

"Hai. I just called to…" Kagome heard someone throw something and a lot of yelling.

"Dammit Rin I said I was going to call her." Inuyasha yelled.

"I haven't talked to her for a long time." Rin yelled back to him. Kagome heard a crash.

"Itai, Rin why'd you throw that?" Inuyasha yelled.

"Sesshomaru is going to get mad if he finds out you're trying to hurt me." Rin said in a sing song voice.

"Like I care what that bastard thinks give me the phone." Inuyasha yelled.

"Ok, ok I give here. Talk to you later Kagome." Rin yelled.

"Hello." Inuyasha said.

"Hello." Kagome said. "What was that all about?"

"Nothing. Sesshomaru and Rin want to double date tonight can you go?"

"Hai."

"Good I'll pick you up at seven."

"Dress formal." Rin yelled. "We're going to a fancy restaurant."

"Well I got to go. I'm going to Souta's soccer game." Kagome said. "Ja ne."

"Ja ne." Inuyasha said. Kagome hung up the phone.

She walked to her room and grabbed her coat. "Come on Souta lets go." Kagome shouted.

"Hai, I'm coming." He shouted back.

Kagome drove to the game. She watched as his team scored another goal. She cheered. Her mom was going to throw a party at their house after the game. So far they won every game.

An hour later Souta's team was announced the winner. The score was two to five. Kagome told them about the party and everyone drove to her house. She jumped out of the way as kids rushed past her for food.

Kagome helped pass out food and drinks while they all watched a movie. She figured she'd help as much as she could until she had to leave.

Hours later Kagome went to her room to get ready. Souta's team was watching a movie at the moment. She took a shower again and changed into a spaghetti strap dress. It was black and stopped above her knees. Her hair was in a fancy ponytail with some curls in front of her face.

She heard the doorbell ring. "Kagome your boyfriend is here." Souta yelled. She heard all of Souta's friends get excited. They all liked Inuyasha. They looked up to him. She didn't know what those kids saw in him as a hero.

She walked downstairs and grabbed her coat and purse. "You look great Kagome." He said. Kagome blushed.

"Are you going to kiss her?"

"Eww you guys are gross."

"Your sisters pretty." Could all be heard in the background. Inuyasha laughed and led her to his car.

He opened the door for her and went to his side when the door was shut. "Sesshomaru and Rin are meeting us at the restaurant."

"Where are we going?" Kagome said.

"You'll see when we get there." Inuyasha said.

"Why did I have to get dressed up?" Kagome said.

"It was Rin's idea. I hate dressing up." Inuyasha said.

"At least you're not wearing heals or a dress." She pulled his hair.

"I'm driving, what are you trying to make me crash?" He asked.

"You wouldn't crash baka."

"What's your point?" He said.

"Baka."

"Bitch."

Kagome turned her head and looked out of the window. She was used to Inuyasha calling her that. It was some inu youkai thing. She learned to ignore it over time.

They finally arrived at the restaurant. Kagome had never been there before. It looked so elegant. She hated things like that. She would have rather gotten a burger. It was for Rin so she would have to put up with it.

They walked into the restaurant. "Name?" Someone asked.

"We're meeting Sesshomaru. He should be here already." Inuyasha said.

"Ah hai. Right this way." They followed him to Sesshomaru's table. He and Rin were talking.

Rin got up and hugged Kagome. They all sat down and the guys rolled their eyes. "So were Sango and Miroku not invited?" Kagome asked.

"Sango had to baby-sit and Miroku is with her. You know Miroku. Always with Sango." Sesshomaru said.

"That hentai probably thinks he'll get some tonight." Inuyasha said.

"Not every guy thinks about sex as much as you Inuyasha." Rin said.

"Miroku's a lot worse than me." Inuyasha said. Everyone nodded. "I don't think about it all the time." Inuyasha said in defense. He had just caught what she said.

A waitress came by and took their orders. Two hours later they all left. Everyone was full and had fun. Kagome and Rin agreed to have a sleepover at Kagome's house and invite Sango over.

Inuyasha drove Kagome home. He walked her to her door. He grabbed Kagome's waist and kissed her. He licked her lips. She opened her mouth and let him in. He tilted her head back.

Just as the kiss was getting good the door swung open and Souta and about ten of his friends stood there and watched. "Ewww." They all said.

Kagome broke the kiss. "Souta." She shouted. Inuyasha started growling. All the kids ran inside laughing.

"I guess I should go." Inuyasha said.

Kagome gave him a quick peck on the lips and shut the door. She threw off her heals. Inuyasha could hear as she chased Souta around the house. He laughed and walked to his car.

Kagome finally caught Souta. She had to jump over the couch to get him. She tickled him until he said sorry. She helped him up. Him and all his friends finished watching the movie.

Kagome walked upstairs. She changed into her pajamas and got ready for bed. She crawled into her bed. She heard shouting from downstairs from Souta's friends. `It's going to be a long night.' Kagome thought.
