Chapter 6

Tricks and Cheats

Kagome woke up early. She wanted to avoid Inuyasha. She showered and got dressed. She went downstairs to eat. Then she grabbed her bag and went to her car.

When she got to school she went to her locker and opened it to get her books. There was a bouquet of red roses. `That would be so sweet if I wasn't mad at him.' Kagome thought. She moved the roses aside and threw her books in and got the ones she needed.

"Nice flowers." Sango said. She rolled her eyes. "What did he do this time?"

"How did you know I was mad at him?" Kagome asked.

"He only does this kind of thing when you're mad at him." Sango said. "So what did he do?"

"I don't want to talk about it." Kagome said.

"He tried to get you into bed didn't he?" Sango asked.

"What else?" Kagome snorted. "That's all he thinks about."

"No he doesn't." Sango said. "He wouldn't have done that if he did."

"He's just trying to make up so he can get me into bed."

"Kagome look at Inuyasha. Women throw themselves at him. If that was all he really wanted don't you think he'd be after them?" Sango asked. "You've been going out for almost a year now. I'm pretty sure he would've given up by now."

"You're right. I'm still mad at him though. It was his fault." Kagome said.

"Whose fault for what?" Someone said.

Kagome turned around. "You shouldn't be so nosy Kouga." Kagome shut her locker and picked up her bag.

"I just overheard while I came to see you." He said.

"What do you want?" Kagome asked. "I have some things to do before I get to class."

"I just wanted to know if you wanted to go out with me tonight." Kouga said.

"Baka, I'm Inuyasha's girlfriend so back off." Kagome yelled. She could only take so much of his `get the girl' crap.

"That doesn't mean anything. You can always dump him." Kouga said.

"I'm not going to." Kagome started walking away.

Kouga grabbed her arm. "I will have you sooner or later."

"Kouga you're hurting my arm." Kagome said. She would probably get a bruise. She started getting real mad. She was already in a bad mood. "Let go." She screamed. She blasted some miko energy at him.

Kouga flew backwards and did a flip landing on his feet. "You've certainly got some guts. That's what I like about you. Remember what I said." He walked away as if nothing happened.

"Itai." Kagome said. She looked at her arm. It was already starting to bruise. She was going to heal it when the bell rang.

"Come on Kagome before we're late." Sango grabbed Kagome's good arm and dragged her to class.

The bell rang letting students know that school was out. Kagome went to her locker and threw her books. She'd gotten all her homework done in class. She usually talked to her friends but they were talking to Inuyasha and she didn't want to talk to him.

Kagome grabbed her bag and roses and turned around to leave but she stopped when she saw Sango. "Kagome do you want to go out tonight?" Sango asked.

"I don't know." Kagome said.

"Aww come on it's been forever since we had a girls night out." Sango said.

"I guess. What did you want to do?"

"Let's go out to dinner. Dress formally." Sango ran.

"Why do I have to dress up if it's a girls night?" Kagome yelled. Sango didn't hear her.

She shook her head and went to her car. On top of it was another bouquet of roses. She looked around but no one was there. There was a card attached to the roses. It said `I'm sorry. Inuyasha.'

Kagome smiled and put them away. She was still mad, but it was fading away slowly. She got in her car and drove home.

She walked up to her room and picked out a nice outfit for later. She laid down to take a nap. She was thinking about forgiving Inuyasha. He seemed sorry enough. She closed her eyes and went to sleep.

Kagome woke up and sat up. It was five o'clock. She took a shower and got dressed. She put on a blue dress. She left her hair down. Then she remembered Sango never told her the details for the night.

She called Sango and asked her where and when they were going to go. Sango told her to meet her at a fancy restaurant called Alesandro's. She couldn't help but think she'd heard of the name before.

She got in her car and drove to the restaurant. She had to get the directions from her mom. She listened to music while she drove.

When she got to the restaurant a waiter helped her. "May I help you?" He asked.

"Hai, I'm meeting my friend Sango at this restaurant." She said.

"Ah she just arrived a couple of minutes ago. Right this way." He led her to a table in a far corner area. "A waiter will be here soon to take your order."

"Arigato." Kagome said. He walked away. "Sango what are you wearing?"

Sango was wearing casual clothes. "Umm clothes." Sango said. "I'll be back I have to use the bathroom."

Before Kagome could say anything Sango had ran from sight. She waited in her seat for a couple of minutes. She was starting to wonder where Sango was. She was about to get up and look for her when someone sat down.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome said. He was wearing a pair of black dress pants and a white collar shirt.

"Hai." He said.

"What are you doing here?" She said angrily. She had a feeling Sango was up to something.

"I'm here to take you to dinner." He said.

"Sango was in on your little plan wasn't she?" Kagome asked.

"I only asked her to tell you to come here. I knew you wouldn't have come if I asked you."

"How would you know? You didn't even ask me." Kagome said.

"You never say yes to anything with me if you're mad." Inuyasha said. "Give me a chance to make it up to you."

"Fine." Kagome said. She was going to forgive him but if he was willing to beg then why not let him? "Arigato for the flowers."

"Your welcome." He said. "Do you remember this place?"

"No, I can't help but think I've been here but I can't really remember." She said.

"This is where we went on our first date." Inuyasha said.

Kagome thought about it for a while. "I remember now. This is the same table too."

"Hai. You probably don't recognize it they had it painted a while ago." Inuyasha said.

"You're so sweet." Kagome said. Inuyasha had taken her to this fancy restaurant on their first date. She told him that she didn't want to go to fancy places but he insisted.

"Does that mean you're not mad at me anymore?" Inuyasha asked.

"I don't know. I still have to take Souta to the carnival this weekend. I don't think flowers and a fancy restaurant is going to make it all better. Besides you tricked me into coming." She said.

Inuyasha laughed. "The nights not over yet Kagome."

"Oh and where are we going next?" She asked.

"You'll find out soon." Inuyasha said. "Here comes our food. I ordered the same thing we had the first time. I hope you don't mind."

"Not at all." Kagome said.

They ate their dinner and talked. When they were done Inuyasha walked her to his car. "I drove here though."

"Don't worry Sango took it to your house." Inuyasha said.

"What how did she do that?" She asked.

"Didn't you realize your car key is missing?" He asked.

"Your sneaky you know that? I guess I'll have to be more careful when the guys come over." She joked.

"What guys?" Inuyasha asked.

"There are no guys baka. I was just messing with you." She said.

"Don't do that. I thought you were serious." He said.

"Well I thought it was funny. Guess I'm a good actress huh?" She said.

"Ha ha ha." He said sarcastically. He grabbed her waist and tried to kiss her.

Kagome dodged his mouth. "Not this time. I still haven't forgiven you yet." She smirked.

"You little bitch." Inuyasha said playfully. They both got into the car. Kagome kept bugging him to tell him where they were going. "Quit asking I'm not telling you."

"I can get you to tell me." Kagome said mischievously.

"What are you talking about no you can't?" He said.

Kagome leaned over toward him and blew in his ear. She smiled when she saw him shiver. That meant it was working. She put her hand on his thigh. "Come on Inuyasha tell me where are we going?" She asked seductively. She licked the outside of his ear.

"The beach." He said in a husky whisper.

Kagome smiled and sat back down in her seat. "Nice to know." She said.

Inuyasha realized what she did. "You cheater."

"I had to do it." She said.

Inuyasha parked the car when they got to the beach. They walked near the water. Inuyasha had his arms around Kagome's waist. He stopped and faced her. "Nani?" Kagome asked.

"I love you Kagome."
