Chapter 9

Almost

Kagome woke up to find that it was raining. She looked out her window and sighed. She wished it were sunny. `Can't always have your way.' Kagome thought. She put on her robe and walked downstairs for breakfast.

"Ohayo Kagome. Did you sleep well?" Her mom asked.

"Hai." She said.

"Well I'm going to go watch Souta's soccer match."

"They are going to have it in the rain?" Kagome asked.

"No, they scheduled the game in the building. It's pretty far so we'll probably be gone half of the day. We'll probably celebrate afterwards."

"Hai."

"Come on Souta lets go." Her mom yelled.

"Hai." Souta ran downstairs with his uniform.

"Good luck Souta." Kagome said.

"Arigato." He said.

"Bye Kagome." Her mom said. Her and Souta walked out of the house.

"I wonder where Grandpa is?" Kagome said out loud. She looked on the board. He went to a friend's house on the other side of town for the night. They wanted to sell each other charms.

"The house all to myself." She said. She walked into the living room and watched TV. She couldn't find anything on TV and ended up falling asleep.

She woke up to a knock at the door. She yawned and went to go answer it. She swung the door open. "Oh hey Inuyasha."

Inuyasha just stared at her. She was still in her pajamas. She was wearing a white nightgown that stopped mid thigh. Her robe was open so he could see it all.

Kagome wondered what he was staring at. She looked down and realized she forgot to change. She grabbed the sides of her robe and closed it. "You jerk." She yelled and started to run for her room.

Inuyasha caught her in an instant. He wrapped his arms around her waist. "Gomen."

"It's not nice to stare at people like that you hentai." Kagome said. "I'm going to go change."

"You don't have to I won't look." He said.

"Sure you won't." She rolled her eyes. "I'll be back." She walked upstairs into her room and put on a yellow dress.

"What are you doing here?" Kagome asked.

"Jeez can't I just come see my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Not without an ulterior motive." Kagome said. "Why did you really come here?"

"That was it." Inuyasha said. She looked at him questioningly. "I'm serious." He said.

"Fine, fine." Kagome said giving up on the subject. She walked into the living room to watch TV. "I'm not doing anything though."

"I just came over to see you that's all." Inuyasha said. "Why is it you always think I have something else in mind when I come to see you?"

"That's what it usually is." Kagome said.

"If you don't mind I'll just watch TV with you." He said.

"If that's what you really want." She said. "There's nothing on though."

"I don't care." Inuyasha said. He was just bored and needed something to do.

"What do you want to watch?" Kagome asked.

"I don't care."

"Fine but don't complain if you get stuck watching something you don't want." Kagome said.

"Feh." Inuyasha said. They watched TV for a while in silence. Inuyasha noticed that Kagome was about to fall asleep. "Didn't you get any sleep last night?"

"I did but I'm still tired." She said.

Inuyasha laid her head in his lap. "Go to sleep then." He said.

"Arigato." She yawned. Inuyasha rubbed her back and watched TV even though nothing was on.

About thirty minutes later the phone rang. Inuyasha lifted Kagome's head on the couch and went to answer the phone. "Hello?"

"May I speak to Kagome?" A guy asked

"Who is this?" Inuyasha asked.

"Naraku." He said.

"Don't ever fucking call here again." Inuyasha yelled and hung up the phone. How did he get her number? She didn't give it to him did she? He walked back over to the couch.

"Who was it?" Kagome asked. She didn't move from the spot Inuyasha put her in.

"No one." He said angrily. He set her head back in his lap.

"It was someone." Kagome said. She could tell he was upset.

"Did you ever give Naraku your phone number?" He asked.

"What? No." She said. "He never even asked me for it. Is he the one who called?"

Kagome knew it was him when he started growling loudly. She sat up and rubbed his ear. He stopped growling in anger. He moved her so she was sitting in his lap. He nuzzled her neck before he started kissing it.

Kagome shivered but kept rubbing his ear. She knew he would calm down if she did, although she put herself in a bad position. She was alone in her house with Inuyasha, and the bad thing was she started it.

"I love you Kagome." He said and kissed her on the lips before she could say anything. The kiss was demanding. He hated that other guys were after her even though she was with him. He needed reassurance, and the kiss helped lower his jealousy level.

He was afraid she'd leave him for someone better. He thought she deserved better but refused to let her go. He loved her too much. And he would tell her that every chance he got.

He lowered her onto the couch slowly so that he was straddling her. Kagome was about to protest but was cut off once again by his kiss. She would have probably yelled at him but she knew it made him feel better.

She just hoped she would be able to stop him before he got to far. He would only stop if she told him too. But would she be able to this time? All thoughts melted away when he cupped her breast.

She gasped. He took advantage of it and deepened the kiss. Kagome moaned when he started massaging her breast. His other hand traveled down her thigh to rest on her butt. He started nipping her neck, he was about to bite down and mark her as his.

"Kagome we're home." Ms. Higurashi said.

Inuyasha jumped off of Kagome and helped her sit up. She smoothed out her dress and fixed her hair. "Oh hi Inuyasha." Kagome's mom said.

"Hi, Ms. Higurashi." He said. "I hope you don't mind I'm here."

"No not at all." She said.

"We won!" Souta ran into the house yelling.

"Good job Souta." Inuyasha said.

"I didn't know you were here." Souta said. "Do you want to play video games with me? You said we'd play next time."

He looked at Kagome and she nodded. "Hai, I'll play." He said. Souta dragged him to his room.

"I should start making dinner. We didn't go out to celebrate like I thought we would." Ms. Higurashi said.

"I was wondering why you came back so early." Kagome said. "I'll help you with dinner."

"Thanks." She said. "Well a lot of the parents were tired so we just went home."

"Oh." Kagome said.

Kagome went upstairs to tell Inuyasha and Souta to come down to eat. "Hey…"

"Food." Souta yelled and ran downstairs before she could finish.

"I guess you know now." Kagome said. She started walking downstairs.

"You're not mad about earlier are you?" He asked her.

"No, why?" She asked. Her cheeks turned pink.

"Well we've never gone that far." He said. "Would you have stopped me if we weren't interrupted?"

"Lets not talk about this now. We need to go eat." Kagome said.

"Don't think I won't bring it up later." He said. He ran by and nipped her neck.

"Baka." Kagome said. She walked downstairs to the kitchen.

Read and Review. I know its short and probably boring but I wanted to update when I had the chance. I'll probably spend this weekend studying for finals. But after next week I'll try to write long chapters to make it up to you. I'm not promising anything though. Ja ne.
