Chapter 10

Bad Day

Mondays have to be the most horrible day or the week. Kagome had woken up late and had to rush to get ready. It didn't help that Inuyasha was harassing her about yesterday.

After they ate dinner and Inuyasha was about to leave he teased her about how pink she got. He kissed her and grabbed her butt. "Just wait until next time." He whispered before leaving.

Now she was at her locker frustrated because she had forgotten her book. It was bad enough Kaede wanted to see her after school. The bell rang and she walked to class with her friends.

She sat down and pulled out her notebook. "Hey the teacher's not here." A student shouted.

"Study hall!" Another student shouted. When they had study hall that usually meant an hour of goofing off. (I don't know if you get study hall when the teachers gone. I don't, but in my fic they do. Just thought I'd let you know.)

"Just great I worry about forgetting my book and the teachers not even here." Kagome said. "Could today get any worse?"

As usual once those words are spoken things get worse. Kouga walked over to Kagome. "How are you doing today?" Kouga asked.

"I'm fine Kouga did you need something?" Kagome asked. She wanted to get rid of him before Inuyasha went into a jealous and possessive mode. Well more jealous and possessive than usual.

Inuyasha growled. "What the fuck do you want?"

"I'm talking to Kagome not you inukurro." Kouga said.

"What did you call me?" Inuyasha stood up.

"Inukurro, did I stutter?" Kouga said.

"Can't you guys get a little more original?" Kagome muttered.

"Wimpy wolf." Inuyasha said. Both guys ignored her comment.

"What are you three year olds?" a student shouted.

"Yeah fight!" Another yelled.

Inuyasha and Kouga both growled at each other. "Stop this right now." Kagome yelled. "I've had a bad enough day already and it's only first period."

"Not until he backs off." Inuyasha growled.

"She's my woman." Kouga shouted.

"That's it." Inuyasha yelled and punched Kouga. He staggered but stayed on his feet. He ran at Inuyasha and swung at him. Inuyasha was able to dodge him but was knocked down when Kouga tripped him.

"Kouga don't hurt him too badly I want him for myself." Kikyo said. (I know she hasn't appeared much.)

Kagome just ignored the fight. There was no way of stopping them now. She sat in the back of the class with Sango. Miroku watched the fight and placed some bets. "Guys are so immature and thick headed." Kagome said.

"At least your not stuck with a hentai." Sango said.

"I'd almost rather I was." Kagome said. "Although Inuyasha can be perverted at times."

"Not as much as Miroku." Sango said.

"At least he stopped touching other girls." Kagome said. "Now I think you should work on his betting."

"I would but he usually wins." Sango laughed. "So do you want to do something after school today?"

"I can't I have to meet with Kaede." Kagome said.

"Again?" Sango asked. "I thought you were done?"

"I guess not." Kagome said. She cringed when she looked at Inuyasha. He had a cut on his face. She watched as everyone encouraged them to keep fighting.

"Should we stop them?" Sango asked.

"You know as well as I do that there's no way to stop them now." Kagome said.

"I know a way to get them to stop." Naraku said as he walked up to them.

"I highly doubt it. I don't need your help." Kagome said.

"Ah but I think you do." He said. He bent down and kissed Kagome forcing her mouth open with his tongue.

Inuyasha and Kouga were still fighting until they heard, "Naraku's going to get his ass kicked now." Someone said.

They both stopped and looked to the back of the room. "What the fuck?" They both yelled and ran to the back of the room.

Naraku pulled away and smirked. Kagome was about to hit him but he grabbed her wrist. "I told you I'd get them to stop." He said.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Inuyasha yelled.

"You can't kiss my woman." Kouga yelled.

"It seems that neither of you deserve her." Naraku said. They were all about to lash out at each other when the principal walked in.

"What is going on here?" He asked. The whole class started talking at once.

"Never mind. Inuyasha, Naraku, Kouga I want you all in my office right now." They all walked to the principal's office.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Kouga and Naraku are claiming Kagome as theirs when they damn well know she's mine." Inuyasha yelled.

"Is that what this is about?" The principal said. "Keep your personal lives to yourself until school is out. I'll give you no more warnings. Now get out."

All three of them left and went back to class. "I better not hear anyone talk until you get to class." The principal yelled down the hallway. The next thing he needed was for them to fight in the hallway.

Kagome sat in class doing nothing. "Kagome are you ok?" Sango asked.

"I'm fine." Kagome mumbled.

"Seems as though Kagome is very popular among the guys." Miroku said.

"Shut up Miroku you say that all the time we don't need to hear it again." Sango yelled.

Inuyasha walked into the classroom. Kouga and Naraku were nowhere to be seen. He walked to the back and sat down next to Kagome. "Where are Naraku and Kouga?" Miroku asked.

"Those pansies went home." Inuyasha said.

"You didn't need to fight." Kagome said. She grabbed some tissues from her bag and wiped the blood off his face from when Kouga cut him with his claws.

"He wouldn't stop claiming you." Inuyasha said. "Just wait until I get my hands on that bastard Naraku." He shook his fist.

Kagome sighed. There was no way of talking him out of fighting. At least Kouga and Naraku weren't here so she didn't have to worry about them. She saw Kikyo walk over to them.

"Inuyasha you should just leave her." Kikyo said. "Look at all the trouble she's causing. If you're with me you won't have to worry about it."

"That's because no one wants you." Kagome said.

"Shut up Higurashi. You think you're better than everyone else because so many guys want you." She hissed.

"No I don't. It's you that thinks you're better than everyone else." Kagome said.

"That's because I am." Kikyo said.

Kagome rolled her eyes. She was so conceded. "Kikyo why don't you just go away?" Inuyasha said.

"Just think about it ok." Kikyo said and waked away.

"Gods I hate her." Inuyasha said. "She doesn't say anything to me since school started and now all of a sudden she's bothering me."

"I just want to hit her." Kagome said.

"Jealous?" Inuyasha asked.

"No, not really." Kagome said. "I just don't like her attitude."

"How come you're not jealous?" Inuyasha asked.

"Do you plan on leaving me for her?" Kagome asked.

"Never." Inuyasha said. "I told you, you were mine and I'm not letting you get away."

"That's why." Kagome said.

"Could we stop talking about all this jealousy and crap?" Sango said. "It's kind of a tiring subject."

"Hai." Kagome said.

The rest of the day went by painfully slow. Not that Kagome was looking forward to after school. All she wanted to do was go home and sleep. But she had to talk to Kaede.

Inuyasha dropped her off at her house. He walked her to her door. He kissed her. "Ahem." Someone said.

They broke apart. "Hello Kaede." Kagome blushed.

"Kaede-baba you just had to ruin the moment didn't you?" Inuyasha asked angrily.

Kagome hit him. "Don't talk to her like that." She said.

"Hello to you to Inuyasha." Kaede said. "Ready Kagome?"

"Let me get changed." She said.

"I'll call you later Kagome." Inuyasha said and walked to his car.

"Bye." Kagome said. She ran upstairs to change. She met Kaede in the backyard. "So what did you want to teach me? I thought my training was done."

"Hai it is." Kaede said. Kagome looked at her questioningly. "You've learned to control your miko powers but you have to keep meditating to stay in control of them."

"What do you mean?" Kagome asked.

"Well if you don't meditate or use your miko powers after a while they become stale."

"What do you mean stale?" Kagome asked.

"Well they become harder to control or sometime they won't work or you could hurt someone or worse you could hurt yourself. Also if you become too emotional you can end up hurting yourself."

"How?"

"Well if you get really angry, your rage will overcome you and try to eliminate the problem. Same thing with if your depressed." Kaede said.

"Things just got a lot more complicated." Kagome said.

"Well let's get started. I'm going to show you the best method of meditating." Kaede said.

An hour later Kagome collapsed on her bed. She had just gotten out of the shower. It took about a half an hour to perfect the meditation. Now she had to do it everyday for at least an hour.

Kagome curled up in a ball on her bed and pulled the covers up over her head. She hoped tomorrow would be better. She closed her eyes and went to sleep.
