This is my first fan-fic and I can't guarantee the best, actually, I can guarantee the worst, maybe, it's up to you to decide. If I complete this fan-fic, there will probably be a sequel, but I'm thinking too far ahead, I have to see if people like it first…so stick with me.

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha and company

Summery: When a little inu-hanyou girl is found by Kaede, Inuyasha and his friends return to the village. They start taking the girl with them on the shard hunts and find that she doesn't act like a normal child. She doesn't know many words and she keeps saying “Where Katsuro?” They find that this child has mysterious powers and she may just lead them to the right path of their lives.

-----------------------------

A woman was running from a herd of demons, probably a thousand of them. He had ordered her child to be killed, and she couldn't escape his army. Her breath began to get ragged and her sides were hurting. Not stop, she has been running from these demons, but she was surprised she was lasting this long, as it has been 3 days.

On the first day, her 4 year old son had been protecting her. Normally a 4 year old boy wouldn't be able to do this, obviously, but her son was a youkai. But he had tired out, so she concealed him and continued to run.

She didn't know the reason that monster wanted her daughter dead, but she could conclude that it was because she was a one year old hanyou. Suddenly her daughter began to cry and clutch to her.

“Shh, don't cry sweetie…” the woman kept running, and then she felt something slash her back completely open. She let out a cry, but continued to run. A cry was heard behind her from a demon, but she didn't stop to turn around.

“Mama!” She stopped in her tracks and turned around. Her 4 year old son was running towards her and feeling relief, she collapsed. He ran to her and took his baby sister from his mother's arms. The little girl sniffed and, not smelling any danger, stopped crying. She clung to her brother and stared at her mother.

“Mama, wake up. We have to go home…” the little boy stirred his mother, when her eyes opened, they were teary.

“Katsuro…take Akemi and go back home, I need to stay here.” The little inu-youkai named Katsuro looked at his mother and realized something.

“Mama, you aren't dying…are you?” Katsuro had his eyes fill with tears for his beautiful mother.

“No, Katsuro, but I need to go to visit someone, where you can not go, because you are a youkai…” the woman smiled and slowly got to her feet.

“Mama, am I really your son? Why am I youkai, and you are human?” Katsuro looked at the woman and his heart kept falling.

“Yes, Katsuro, I am your birth mother, as I am Aiko's and Akemi's. Take your little sister home, and tell your father I went to visit a woman named Kaede.” Katsuro nodded his head and when his mother began to walk away, he turned the opposite way. It took his mother 3 days to get to this location, but that was because she had to hide and fight along the way. He could make it in about an hour.

With one last glance, Katsuro ran in the direction of safety, the only problem was, it was not safe on the way. After a couple minutes, a man was standing in the road, blocking Katsuro's path. He stopped, but tightened his hold on wide awake Akemi.

“Hello Katsuro, where are you off to at such a late hour?” the man questioned.

“Naraku…” Katsuro gasped, he had only seen this man once before, the night Akemi was born. His parents didn't know he knew anything about Naraku, but he had asked two of his masters, the ones who trained him, and he knew all about him and his desires.

“I see you know of me, not a surprise. But I'm afraid I want that child…” Naraku said this and when Katsuro was about to run away, he sent his tentacles towards the boy, who dodged. Katsuro may have been only four, but he could hold his own, against low level demons…

“I said, I want that child! That girl will be my trump card against Inuyasha and his stupid friends! She's strong, if I can get my hands on her and raise her, she will be able to kill them, and I will finally be rid of them! Now Katsuro! Give me that CHILD!”

Naraku used a rapid fire technique to stab Katsuro through the arm and through his gut. The boy didn't make a sound, but he was hurt. He was just too stubborn to let Naraku know that. But Akemi knew his pain, she let out a scream for him and started to cry. Katsuro couldn't move, so he placed his body over top of Akemi's, trying to shield her from Naraku's eyes.

Slowly, Naraku let out a laugh and grabbed the boy by the collar, throwing him into a tree nearby, knocking him out. When Naraku faced the little girl, he smiled triumphantly, not that it was hard to take down a four year old boy, but he was glad that the girl's father was not here to protect her, or her uncle. Technically, he was glad no one was here to protect her; they would feel responsible for her being taken away. But above all, Katsuro would be torn apart, he couldn't be a strong youkai and protect his sister.

Naraku laughed and noticed that since Katsuro had been knocked away, Akemi was deadly silent. Roughly, he grabbed Akemi by her puppy dog ears and brought eye level with himself. She didn't look scared, just shocked. When her eyes met his, he saw fear etch every part of her. He smiled at her fear, Inuyasha would finally meet his match.

“Poor Akemi, where is everyone now, hmm?” Naraku laughed his icy laugh and looked at her again. “You will never see them again, until I think you are ready to kill them…” Naraku laughed and stopped when he saw Akemi scrunch up her face, ready to cry.

She began to take in big raking sobs and wailed, hurting Naraku's ears so much that he dropped her. She emitted some kind of bluish energy, forcing him to take a few steps back, he didn't know what she was doing, but he wasn't going to let her do it. He grabbed for her, but she started to sink into the ground, causing him to cut her ear really badly.

She was unconscious, so she didn't scream, but Naraku decided that if he wasn't going to have her on his side, no one was. He sent a tentacle at her, and before it was purified, it raked against her side and then she was gone, not through the ground, but there was a portal surrounding her, taking her somewhere else, to escape him.

He yelled into the sky, but recollected his calm. He was still angry, and his face was distorted with how angry he was. His nose was flared and his eyes were mere slits. As calmly as he could, he left the area in purple smoke, trying to figure out a way to follow the child.

------------------------

Kaede was picking herbs from the garden and putting them in a basket, when a couple village children ran to ask her about them. She laughed and smiled while she told them. When the children were called home by their families, Kaede continued with her herbs.

At dusk, Kaede stood from a hard days work, and watched all the villagers finish their work as well. She picked up her baskets of herbs and started to walk to her hut. She was getting old and could do her miko jobs less efficiently, but she still did them. Now days, her eyes would be more tired looking, and there were more wrinkles surrounding them.

When she reached the bridge leading to her hut, she began to sense a strong, but pure energy approach. She couldn't recognize it, but she could tell it was pure because of the innocence leaking from it. When Kaede thought for sure that the person was right beside her, a bright light began to shine above her and the village. It was a beautiful shade of pink, blue, and white. She could see a bit of red, but not so much, but that didn't make sense, why would there be red in such pure miko energy.

Then her question was answered, the light disappeared and a figure was falling from it. Now that the figure was visible, Kaede could see that there was blood all over the…child?! How could a child, an infant no less, have so much energy. She didn't know, but when the light disappeared, so did the energy she felt.

The child was out of her reach, and it fell into the river, which just so happened to be fairly rapid, because of the rain that fell last night. She gasped as she saw the little girl wash down the river, and came to her senses.

“Hurry, there is a child in the river!” the villagers close by immediately answered the call and ran in the direction of the river and Kaede followed. They followed the river to the lake that Kagome sometimes swims in, and saw were worried. They couldn't see the little girl, she had went under the water while in the river, and had not yet washed onto the banks.

“Over there!” One of the villagers saw a hint of blood behind a rock and everyone went in that direction. Kaede saw the child, a girl, a…hanyou. She was an inu-hanyou, just like Inuyasha, but her hair wasn't as silver, it was more like a very light blue, but her puppy ears were white. Kaede assumed she had golden eyes, but she didn't understand the energy she just had, and she wasn't so sure now that the red she saw in the light was blood, or a symbolism of her demonic side.

Kaede gasped when the girl opened her eyes and stood up. When the girl saw Kaede, she said, “Who you? Where Katsuro?” Then the little girl fainted again and fell into Kaede. That was when Kaede realized she had to treat the girl, and with that, one of the villagers picked the girl up and they ran to Kaede's hut, to treat the poisoned wounds the girl had endured.

Okay, I will end it here. Some of my characters might be OCC and I'm sorry if they are, and just so you know, I'm not very good with Kaede's talking. In the next chapter, tell me if the characters are really OCC, but I don't know.

Next Chapter: Inuyasha and his friends return to the village and meet Akemi.

Please R&R and tell me what you think, I'll try to get a chapter up tomorrow.
