Summary: Fifteen years have pasted since that fateful day that Sesshomaru took Rin into his care. Rin now the age of twenty-one finds that her heart is crying out for more from Sesshomaru. Does her Lord carry the same feeling inside himself?

Chapter 3: Noble Blood

Rin's maroon slipper-like shoes made no sound as she walked through the banquet hall. When she awoke this morning Sesshomaru was no longer in bed with her, she assumed that he had risen early to attend to important matters.

Mina had come to tell her that her bath awaited her. She then dressed Rin in a beautiful white kimono; maroon flowers seemed to dance upon the fabric. Mina had politely told her that she looked lovely in it, and that the maroon color in the fabric brought out the sheer beauty in her cinnamon eyes.

Rin then noticed that Mina had made changes to her kimono, so that the collar was more open around her neck. Allowing the lilac colored stripes that ran down the tops of her shoulders to show. Once Mina had finished dressing her lady, she brushed out Rin's beautiful dark brown hair. Which were then braided into two separated braids, small white lilies where then wrapped in with her hair. Once she was finished Mina bowed to Rin,

"My Lady Rin is now ready."

Rin smiled softly down at Mina as she gently lifted her head so her silver eyes met with her own cinnamon ones.

"Mina, you don't have to call me lady when you are just with me. If fact I would like it if you can me Rin like you use to, only call me Lady Rin when our Lord or other servants are in our company."

Mina returned Rin's smile as she bowed to her.

"Thank you my Lad…I mean Rin."

Rin had then nodded to her in return.

She was brought back to reality when a strong arm and monotone voice spoke to her from behind.

"I take it your bath was enjoyable?"

Rin nodded in response as she spoke.

"Yes it was indeed enjoyable, my Lord Sesshomaru."

Sesshomaru's nose was now press against her neck pulling in her body's sweet scent. His amber orbs then gazed over her shapely form dressed in a crisp pure white and maroon kimono.

"You are breathtaking Rin. Your new kimono suites you. For your very presences speaks of your ladyship over the Western Lands."

Rin didn't mean to look away from him it just happened. His commanding aura would over power her at times causing her to look away. Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed as he watched her look away from him.

"Rin why do you look away from me. You are the Lady of the Western Lands, you should hold your head up high with pride."

Rin nodded as she turned her head back to face Sesshomaru.

"I am sorry, but sometimes I can't help but feel unworthy of your love. You my Lord are of noble blood I am not."

Sesshomaru gently placed his hand under Rin's chin as he brought her closer to him.

"You see yourself as a mere human. I however see you as so much more. It just took this Sesshomaru a long time to see it. You, Rin are everything a Lady of the Western lands should be. You are courageous, elegant, proud, lastly you are spellbinding, for over the years you have cast a spell over this Sesshomaru."

He then brought his lips to her's in a passionate kiss. Each movement of their lips was like they depended on each kiss in order to survive. Rin leaned into Sesshomaru as far as she dared, without being impaled by Sesshomaru's armor. For she now knew she belonged here in the arms of her lord.

Kagome sighed as she felt the wind whip through her long raven hair. Her thoughts traveled to Rin's well being, for she was sure Sesshomaru had performed the same blood ritual that Inuyasha had performed on her. Kagome knew she would never forget that day she in the forest gathering herbs. When she had been bitten by a strange poisonous, she might add, snake.

Inuyasha being afraid that he would loss her after she agreed to mate to him, went to seek out Myoga on what he could do to save her. Kaede and Sango had tried everything to stop the poison from spreading, however they were not able to stop it. Kagome remembered Inuyasha telling her how much he hated the smell of death on her and that he was sorry but he had to do it.

It was later everyone explained everything to her. That she learned that Inuyasha had placed several drops of his blood on her wound. The demon blood, in his blood had destroyed the poison that had been coursing through her veins. She smiled lightly at the other things just those six little drops had done. Her body had quickly healed the snakebite in a few hours, so when she was not injured severely her could heal her own wounds. Kagome not only had a jagged stripe on her collarbone where Inuyasha had marked her, but she now had two jagged stripes that graced each side of her waist.

Kagome's thoughts once again traveled to Rin. After hearing some of the symptoms Rin had, headaches, tiredness, lethargy, and even dizzy spells at times. She had told Sesshomaru she thought Rin had a blood disorder called, anemia. However she didn't get a chance to tell Sesshomaru that it wasn't life threatening only that Rin would have to eat more foods with iron in them.

His only reply had held the same coldness it always had.

"I see. This Sesshomaru is finished here."

With that Sesshomaru left, leaving a stunned Kagome and Inuyasha in his wake. Inuyasha's annoyed voice broke through her thought as the continued onward.

"Can you explain to me why we are going to this ban…quet thing Sesshomaru is having?"

Kagome sighed gently as she answered Inuyasha's question.

"We're going Inuyasha because we were invited."

Inuyasha's voice remained annoyed as he spoke.

"Feh. Big deal we were invited. It doesn't fix all the times he tried to kill you or me, now does it?"

"Inuyasha, he also helped us destroy Naraku remember?"

His once annoyed voice softened a little.

"Oh yeah I forgot about that. I still don't like the idea of you coming, especially since you're with pup again."

Kagome giggled lightly, causing Inuyasha to raise an eyebrow as he landed gently on the top of the stonewall. His amber eyes staring at the huge gray and white stoned castle, his nose twitched as the scent of all the other demon lords drifted to it.

"Look at it Kagome, I don't belong in that crowd of demons. I'm not like them. All of them are things that I'll never be."

Kagome gently placed her soft lips against Inuyasha's cheek as she kissed him. She then pulled away to look at Inuyasha straight in the eye.

"I'm glad cause I love you…just…the way…you…are."

She replied as she tapped the tip of his nose. Inuyasha's orbs drifted over Kagome's growing abdomen, she had told him that it was only one this time but he had a feeling that she was wrong. He then watched as some finely dressed demons entered through the castle gates.

"Oh look it looks like more of Sesshomaru's friends have shown up. I swear if they lay a claw on you I'll…."

Inuyasha stopped for a moment he could have swore he smelt Sesshomaru. A cold and piercing voice suddenly spoke from behind him.

"I assure you little brother those demons are not my friends. However, being great lords themselves it was my duty to our family's honor to invite them. As it was for me to invite you and your wife, your mate."

His cold amber eyes then gazed upon Kagome and her rounding abdomen. He then smirked; however what he said next caught both Kagome and Inuyasha off guard.

"It would appear that the two of you have been quite busy. As for the safety of your mate you need not worry about her. If she or my own charge are harmed in anyway their death will be assured."

He then leapt from the wall with Inuyasha following behind with Kagome at his side. As they headed toward the castle, Sesshomaru picked up on the scent of fear, which only made him move faster. He stopped and stared at a green and brown lump on the ground that started to shake as it slowly lifted its head up.

"Lord Sesshomaru, ppplleassseee forgive me. This unworthy servant was unable to stop him."

His cold eyes seemed to freeze the creature in its tracks.

"Jakken. Where is Rin now?"

"Forgive me master. Lord Ringo has locked her in the study Sire."

Sesshomaru continued to glare at Jakken.

"Remember this Jakken if she is harmed in anyway I shall have your life."

Jakken bowed repeatedly at Sesshomaru's feet.

"Yessss, my Lord of course."

Jakken soon found himself flying though the air, after Sesshomaru's foot had came in contact with his little body.

"I take it Jakken that, that shall be punishment enough for now."

Sesshomaru then slowing made his way inside toward the study. Anger was building within in him with each passing second.

`How dare he trap Rin against her will in her own home, I shall have to teach the young Lord of the Southern lands a lesson.'

Rin took a shaky step backwards as the golden dog demon lord came closer to her. Her back was now pressed again the cold stonewall of the castle. She was trapped and at his mercy. Rin shivered as Lord Ringo started to stroke her left cheek, she wanted to hurl, his very touch made her skin crawl. He was treating like she was nothing more then Sesshomaru's little tramp.

"Surly that cold hearted dog does not give you all that you desire my Lady? I could give you so much more."

Rin paled at first how dare he speak to her in such a way. However it had been the way he had called Sesshomaru a dog that had caused Rin to snap. Her hand shot out and slapped the side of his face leaving a red whelp in its wake.

"How dare you speak of My Lord in such away."

Lord Ringo smirked as he rubbed the side of his face. His dark blue eyes staring over at Rin as he watched her pull in a deep breath.

"I see now why Sesshomaru is so taken with you my lady. You show little fear and there is a fire that burns within you. It is quite pleasing to the senses."

Lord Ringo slapped Rin across her face the force cracking her bottom lip. He then grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the wall.

"However, it makes no difference to me who you're mated too. For you shall always be a worthless human. You are meant to be nothing but a toy."

Rin started to panic as Lord Ringo's grip tightened on her wrists. His strength was greater then her newly enquired strength she had received from mating with her lord. The heat of his arousal was so warm Rin felt her stomach roll followed by a bout of dizziness. Rin figured that was because Lord Ringo was so close to her was why she felt ill. She fought against the dizziness that threatened to plunge her into darkness. Rin knew that if she succumbed to the darkness that Lord Ringo would have his way with her.

A cold and uncaring voice cracked through Rin's thoughts as well as Ringo's.

"You shall release her now."

Sesshomaru's cold amber eyes narrowed as he saw the young lord's right hand caressing one of Rin's thighs. His eyes widened as he smelt fear rolling off of Rin along was another strange scent, the new scent seemed to fuel his anger further.

"It would seem you have forgotten how to be respectful of others. You shall release her now, or shall I remind you of the proper respect."

At first Ringo seemed to be ignoring Sesshomaru's request that was until Sesshomaru's claws where wrapped around his neck.

"I am quite sure your family knows of my poison claws. Perhaps you need to be reacquainted with them."

Sesshomaru wrapped his claws firmly around Lord Ringo causing him to gasp as the poison from his claws melted away the skin on his neck. A cold smirk appeared on Sesshomaru's lips when he heard a hissing sound come from Ringo's lips.

"Ah, I see you do remember the power of my poisoness claws, how unfortunate for you."

His amber eyes quickly drifted to Rin as she slumped to the floor. Concern flickered in his eyes for a moment as he took in Rin's trembling form. Sesshomaru's eyes darkened as he felt the rapid pulsing from the mark on Rin's neck. It was then he realized what the young lord had been beginning to do the scent of heat and a strange arousal was pulsing off of Rin's body.

`How dare he.'

With a swipe of his hand Sesshomaru tossed the young Lord Ringo through the study doors. However it had been when Lord Ringo crashed through the doors to the banquet hall that everyone took notice of what was going on. Ringo's father Lord Yoshi looked down in confusion at his eldest son, who was sprawled out on the tile floor.

"Ringo what is the meaning of this?"

The old lord of the Southern lands caught sight of the marks on Ringo's neck and gasped.

"Ringo what have you done now?"

A cold and venom filled voice responded to Lord Yoshi's question.

"Your son has dishonored your family. He has done so by trying to sway, my wife, my mate to be with him. I suggest you get your son to bottle his power of creating lust and want in a woman. For if you do not your son won't last long as a ruler."

Sesshomaru's cold eyes drifted over to his guest, then over at Inuyasha and Kagome.

"Jakken will show you to a guest room."

A strange playful smirk appeared on Sesshomaru's lips as he turned to glance at Lord Yoshi.

"Lord Yoshi, if my mate or unborn pup are hurt in anyway. I shall take your son's life. You all may go now, for I have important matters to attend too."

A small smile spread across his lips as he heard Lord Yoshi gasp. Yes he had lied, for he knew that Rin was not carrying a pup yet. However, since she was now very aroused, he was sure his little lie could maybe be turned into the truth.

Sesshomaru eyes were hard his voice ever commanding as he spoke to the servant who sat on the bed next to his wife.

"Mina leave us."

The young demoness nodded and made her way to the doors. His amber orbs stayed locked on Rin as he watched her. Her head seemed to be bowed in shame, but she had done nothing wrong. Sesshomaru pulled the bow on the red sash that held on his armor. After hanging his armor up on the wall, Sesshomaru turned once again to Rin. He knew he would have to show her that she indeed had nothing to feel ashamed of. For he only saw her as one with noble blood, whether it was true or not.

`This Sesshomaru shall show his Lady that she is indeed of noble blood.'

(A/N: Wow this story is doing great I'm so happy. Well I hadn't planned on stopping it there but oh well. Next chapter should have some lemony fun in it. [wink, wink]
