Chapter 7

Paranoid

Kagome got to the hot spring and took off her muddy clothes. She threw them to the side and stepped into the water. She sighed as she tipped her head back. The warmth of the water felt good.

She washed her hair and dunked under water to wash the soap out. When she came back up she screamed. "Don't do that." Kagome yelled.

Inuyasha was in the water with her. He had snuck in when she rinsed her hair. "I wanted to surprise you." He said.

"I could've purified you or something you know." Kagome said.

"Like you could hurt me." He said.

Kagome rolled her eyes. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to join you." He said getting closer to her. "It's no fun to bathe by yourself."

"That's what you think." Kagome said. She gasped when Inuyasha put his arms around her from behind. She could feel his arousal. He started kissing her neck. "We can't do this. Someone might come."

"I already made sure that no one would come down here until we came back." He said.

"What about the kids?"

"They'll be fine without us for a while. Miroku said he'd watch them."

"Of all people you asked Miroku? If Inuki turns out to be a hentai when he grows up I'm going to hurt you."

"Don't worry, I warned Miroku." He turned her around so she was facing him. "This is the first time in a while we've been alone."

"And I'm guessing you want to make the best of it right?" Kagome said.

"Hell yeah." Inuyasha said. He picked her up and wrapped her legs around his waist. "Who knows how long until we can be alone again?"

"Knowing you, you won't let it be too long." Kagome said.

"You talk too much." Inuyasha said. He slammed his lips against hers. Too long he'd gone without being with her. He finally couldn't take it anymore and talked to Miroku about it. He agreed to watch Inuki and Shippo if he would watch Reiha next time.

Inuyasha held her tighter and kissed her more desperately. When he pulled back he leaned her back a little so he could reach her breast. He teased them until he took one in his mouth.

Kagome moaned and grabbed his shoulders. She leaned one hand up to rub his ear. She smiled when he started growling. He switched and gave her other breast the same attention.

He walked out of the water and laid on the ground on top of Kagome. Then he sucked and nipped her neck. She turned her head to give him more access. Inuyasha could smell her arousal and it was driving him insane.

His hand traveled past her stomach and down between her legs. He slipped a finger in her passage to see if she was ready. Kagome gasped and started getting impatient. She bit his neck to speed things up.

As soon as he felt teeth at his neck he thrusted into her and they both moaned. Kagome kissed and licked his neck as he went faster and faster with each thrust. She moaned loudly as he played with her breast.

Kagome felt her coming close to the end. She held Inuyasha tighter. He felt her muscles clamp around him and he went faster. Kagome screamed her release. Inuyasha grunted as he thrusted into her a couple more times before releasing his seed.

They both laid there panting. As soon as Inuyasha caught his breath he picked Kagome up and walked into the water. "Now you can take another bath." He said.

"You jerk, you had this all planned." She said.

"So?" He asked innocently.

"I think you're going to have to carry me back. I'm still tired from earlier and you didn't help any a couple of minutes ago."

"Ok." Inuyasha said and started to wash off.

Inuyasha carried Kagome who had fallen asleep after changing. She was worn out. When he got to the campsite everyone but Miroku looked at him with worried faces. "Don't worry she's just sleeping." He said.

"She didn't fall asleep in the hot springs or anything did she?" Rin asked.

"No." Inuyasha said. He didn't want to say anymore than he had too. "It's late we should all go to sleep."

"Hai." Everyone said. They knew what he really meant. The earlier they go to bed the earlier they wake up. He wanted to head out first thing in the morning. Sesshomaru and Rin would probably go then too. She probably wanted to say goodbye to Kagome when she woke up.

The next morning everyone woke up to laughing. Inuki, Shippo, and Reiha woke up early that morning and decided to play tag. They were all laughing and playing.

Kagome, Sango, and Rin made breakfast after they had woken up. After breakfast was done Rin and Sesshomaru were ready to leave. Well Sesshomaru had been ready to leave days ago. It was Rin who wasn't.

"Bye Rin." Kagome said.

"Bye we'll all miss you." Sango said.

"I'll miss you guys too." Rin said. She turned around to walk with Sesshomaru. "Now that I think of it where's Jaken?"

"No where." Sesshomaru said.

Inuyasha and the group waited until they couldn't see them anymore. "So where do we go now?" Kagome asked.

"I guess we could go home." Sango said. "It doesn't look like we'll find anything out."

"Fine, lets go home." Inuyasha said. They all headed toward their village. It would take them a couple of days.

Everyone was walking along until Kagome stopped. "Miroku did you just sense something weird, or bad just now?" She asked.

"No, why?" He asked.

"It must have been nothing then." Kagome said and started walking again.

"What's wrong?" Inuyasha asked.

"Nothing it was probably my imagination." Kagome said. `Maybe it's because I'm still tired.' She thought.

Inuyasha didn't think it was nothing. She usually let things go by now. He could tell just by looking in her eyes that she was still thinking about it. Kagome noticed what he was doing and masked her emotions as best as she could.

She didn't want him worrying about her. She didn't need to have him watch her like a hawk. Inuyasha saw a blank look on her face. Now something was wrong. "Oi, Miroku watch the runts for a couple of minutes."

"What for?" He asked.

"Keep walking I'll catch up in a couple of minutes." Inuyasha said. He picked Kagome up bridal style and took to the trees.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed. "I wish you would warn me when you do something like that." She wrapped her arms around his neck.

As soon as he was far enough from the group he set Kagome down and sat in front of her. "Tell me what's wrong." Kagome was about to tell him it was nothing but he interrupted her. "Don't tell me it's nothing."

"It really is nothing." Kagome said. She let out a shriek when Inuyasha pounced on her.

"Don't fucking lie to me." Inuyasha yelled. "We've been together for a long time. You think I can't tell when you're lying?"

Kagome looked away from him. "I just don't want to worry you." She said.

"It's too late for that. Someone's after your life and you think I'm going to be calm about it." He said.

"Someone's always after me." Kagome yelled back. "Until the jewel is gone I'm always going to be a target."

Inuyasha growled and nipped her neck. "Tell me what's wrong." He said angrily.

"I, I just want to get rid of the jewel. All of our problems revolve around it. I just want to live a normal life and keep it safe for our family and friends." She said.

"You're mated to a hanyou. You think that's normal?"

Kagome hit his shoulder. "You know what I mean."

"Fine, we'll just have to figure out how to destroy the jewel."

"I don't think it'll be that easy." Kagome said.

"When we get home we'll ask Kaede about it." Inuyasha said. "Now stop worrying so much."

"Easy for you to say." Kagome said. Inuyasha helped her up.

"Come on we need to catch up with the others." He bent down so Kagome could get on his back. She missed getting a ride on his back. It had been a long time since she did.

They caught up to the group. "Kagome do you sense that someone is following us?" Miroku asked.

"Not right now. I felt it earlier when I asked." Kagome said. "The feeling keeps disappearing after a while."

"Like they are trying to hide their presence." Miroku said. "Inuyasha do you smell anything?"

Inuyasha sniffed the air. "No, I can't smell anything." He said. "The wind is blowing too much for me to catch a scent."

Kagome concentrated. She tried to see if she could somehow sense an unfamiliar aura. It was no use. The only auras she could feel were familiar and non-threatening. "Maybe we're just being paranoid."

"I don't know." Miroku said.

A growl came from behind them. Everyone turned around to see who or what it was.

"Kouga-kun?" Kagome said.
