Anyway I wanted to tell all of you to please excuse me not updating between the 14 and 19 April. I have to attend to a writing contest, the biggest in my country.

,,What did you just say? I thought you just said something in the line of: when are we getting married?"Kagome asked Sesshoumaru with

angry and yet confused eyes.

Upon seeing him nod, she couldn't believe this man's nerves.

,,Stop the car." she told him quietly.

,,Kagome, we are going to be..." but here he was rudely cut off.

,,Stop the car, so we can talk, do you really want to drive when I strangle you?"

Seeing the serious look in her eyes Sesshoumaru pulled over, and because they were on a mountain road, a forest just had to surround them.

Getting out of the car and slamming the door shut, Kagome started going up on a path.

How could he do that, ask that, she knew it was just a trick, but she never wanted to get married just because of a trick and she sure as hell didn't want her proposel to sound like that, like a desperate mean to get out of a mess.Stopping she looked at where she was and suddenly got scared at seeing everything so dark, eventhough it was barely noon.

Walking behind, he decided to let her have her way and run into the forest.

This was not good to him either, considering another wife than Rin was bad enough seeing

she had to be filled in with everything , but yet he would never marry Rin or do what his father wanted.

Rin was sweet , nice, beautiful, submissive, but to take her as his mate....no, definetly no.

Complying to his father's wishes...a much bigger no. Why should he? His half-brother was still there couldn't he controle him?

He did not want that society and he didn't need it.

Looking in front of himself he couldn't see Kagome anymore but he could very well hear her scream.

Kagome saw something move in the bushes in front of her, then beside her, behind her, making all kind of rustling sounds .

She was getting scared, she knew it was ridiculous, but hey telling yourself that in the middle of a dark solitary forest isn't much help.Suddenly the thing in front of her made a low angry growling noise, moving to jump past the bushes.

Screaming in terror Kagome ran back, mindlessly tripping over wooden roots until she ran straight into someone.

Running towards her, Sesshoumaru was suddenly slightly pushed back when her weight crushed into him. Throwing her hands around his neck she held on to him for dear life, making the ghost of a smile appear on his face, just like the other night when she was acting like a kid.

,,What happened?" he asked her, encircling her body with his arms.

..was, scared." she stuttered, more because of the feeling his arms gave her than because of the fright.

Looking at the direction she had come from, he noticed a small cat coming their way.

Gently placing one hand on her back, he made

her look up and motioned for her to look at the cat.

,,She scared me?" Kagome asked softly, and upon seeing Sesshoumaru nod, she distangled herself from him, blushing all the time, and went to the little cat.

,,You scared me kitty."she whispered, but the cat merely jumped in her arms, and miewed nicely.

Standing back up , she looked at Sesshoumaru seriously and they both went to the car, leaning against it.

,,Sess.." Kagome started but was interrupted.

,,Wait, I shouldn't have asked that from you, not like that."Sesshoumaru said calmly, and just then Kagome realised, realised maybe, just maybe, why he had asked her, and thus she realised the mistake she had made running.

Turning to him she let the cat down, and hugged him tight.

,,I'm sorry. I'm your friend , and as that I should have never reacted like that."

Pulling back a little she looked into his eyes getting lost in their intensity.

would be honored to be your wife." she whispered.

And then Sesshoumaru realised it. Never had anyone been there , there for him alone, not for his fame, money, power or looks, but just for him.

Hugging her to him, he burried his nose into her midnight tresses whispering softly to her.

,,No, I would be honored for you to be my wife, when you are not annoying." he added as an afterthought.

Kagome laughed softly to herself, already used to him.

,,Just had to ruin the moment, hadn't you?"
