Chapter 4: Come Away with Me

As the days went by Kagome wanted to go home, but a certain hanyou is not letting her.

"No way! You're staying put!"

"But I have to go! I have another life you know!"

"Well this one is more important!!"

"I'm going no matter what you say!"

"No you don't"

"SIT! I win^^!" She said while she ran to the well.

"Man, I forgot my books," she mumbled to herself as she climbed out of the well "I guess I'll have to get it when its night time."

As night came, Kagome climbed out of the well. She peaked over the edge to insure that Inuyasha was not there. When the coast was cleared she walked over to the God Tree where she saw a sight that broke her heart.

There stood Inuyasha kissing Kikyou. She didn't cry, she didn't run, she didn't hate them; she just quietly picked up he bag and walked away. It didn't hurt her to see them, but hurt her enough to lose her trust in Inuyasha.

Kagome didn't hate them; not Inuyasha or Kikyou. Sure, she loved Inuyasha wanting him to choose her, but she knew in her heart they were only friends. She was just a reminder of Kikyou to him. However, it hurt that he didn't tell her; he keep her waiting sneaking behind her back to meet Kikyou.

`Why didn't he tell me?' she thought to herself.

She sat herself underneath a tree far away from the well and started to sing to the sky.

"Why did Inuyasha betray me? Sneaking around behind my back to meet with Kikyou, why didn't he tell me?" She said to herself with a sign. Kagome slowly stood up and walked away from the tree and stood in the middle of the clearing.

"Hello."

Sesshoumaru landed behind her from his hiding spot, he leaned forward near her ear and whispered.

"I can't stop thinking of you, please," a short pause made the forest silent "come away with me."
