(A/N: I can only work on one story for so long, fic number three, all works in process. Okay, I am not gifted in the art of song writing so when I say one of the characters wrote a song, it's actually a real one. Oh, and I don't Inuyasha.009.)

Danger in the Shadows

Chapter 1

A black pick up truck with silver streaks down the sides careened into the club parking lot and screeched to a stop near the back entrance. Kagome Higurashi, 19, and a sophomore to Western University jumped out of the driver's seat, a guitar case strapped around her left shoulder and around her waist. She ran towards her friends who also went to the university and were about the same age. The girl, Sango Taijya, had her arms crossed and was tapping her foot impatiently. She was also 19 and a sophomore. The boy, Miroku Houshi was smirking in faint amusement. He was 20 and a junior.

"Kagome where have you been? We start in twenty. You keep this up and we're gonna get fired!!" Sango huffed. Kagome smiled sheepishly, not only were these three close friends since elementary school, but they also made the new popular band, Demonic. They had been playing together for years, but just for fun. It wasn't until senior year of high school they decided to play professionally. Their first gig ever had been at the Abunai club, and now they played there every Saturday and sometimes Friday night.

Having a band with only three members wasn't the easiest thing to deal with, but they were good all the same. No they weren't good, they were amazing. They had a real talent for becoming one with their music, and everyone knew it. But that didn't mean they weren't always on the look out for another person. Preferably a guy, since Kagome and Sango weren't sure if they could find another girl who would be able to put up with Miroku's perverted characteristics, besides themselves.

Soon, the three members and their roadie, Shippo, were setting up behind the curtain, waiting for the club owner to make his usual announcements.

Inuyasha Tanakei was cruising down the streets on his silver motorcycle. He never wanted to leave for college this early, but he needed to find an apartment close to the campus before classes started, and he really didn't want to spend anymore time with his brother than necessary. He had given up about an hour ago and faced the fact that he would probably have to stay at the mansion until a dorm opened, and who knew how long that was going to be. With his luck Sesshomaru would probably make him pay rent anyway.

Inuyasha spotted a sign that advertised a band named Demonic playing at the Abunai that night. The club was a few blocks away, and he had nothing else to do that night.

Oh, what the hell, he thought as he pulled into the parking lot. The club was a medium sized building with a bar on the right wall and tables scattered throughout the floor. He chose one near the back, leaned back in the seat and propped his seat on the neighboring chair. Soon, the curtains flew open and three people could be seen on stage, they looked about Inuyasha's age. The manager stepped onto the stage, holding a microphone in his hand.

"It seems Demonic has decided to sacrifice another one of their busy weekend by gracing us with their presence," he said. The crowd cheered.

"Yeah, yeah. That's still not gonna get you out of paying Touten." one of the members said. The lights were still off so it was hard to see their faces. The audience laughed softly as the manager lept down from the stage and all the lights dimmed.

A bass started playing and a spotlight shown on one girl towards the right of the stage. She had long black hair with pink tips that was in a high ponytail. She wore a black mini-that hugged her thighs and black tank top with fish net over her arms. She wore knee high boots and a spiked bracelet on her left hand. Drums were added and another spot light was shone on a guy. He had short balck hair that was pulled into a small ponytail near the neck. He wore black, baggy jeans and a white short-sleeved muscle shirt. He had leather bracelets on either hand and a spiked dog collar. Then a guitar started playing chords as the third spotlight shown on the last member of the band. Inuyasha stopped breathing and stared.

She had long black hair with gold streaks that reached just below her shoulders. She wore black jeans with a chain on the right side and a black T-shirt that hugged all the curves of her body. She had black bracelets on her left hand and a hemp necklace. Her eyes were a grayish blue that were comforting and exciting. All three members had headset microphone instead of stationary making it easier to move around. Inuyasha was amazed at how beautiful the lead guitarist was, and was even more stunned when she started to sing.

(A/N: MUST READ IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND FIC. I will always make the voices in the band different prints or else it gets to confusing and annoying. So here are the voice fonts for the rest of the fic
