InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Love ❯ Chapter One...Here goes ( Chapter 1 )

:::Hi, this is my first fanfic....I’m not sure if it going to be a hit or not, but I like to say that I do not own Inuyasha or the ideas of this story! Some may know where I got this from, if your are a fan of Christine Feehan Dark series books, so please don’t sue. I just wanted to mixed both Inuyasha characters and the Dark series, so credits goes to them and I’m just writing this because I’m interested if I can really do this...so there! Well here it goes ^-^ :::

The night air was clear and cool, the wind howled, trees swung at the direction of the wind. Two creatures walked through the city street. This city street would had been flourished with people, but a serial killer has been reported to be on the loose, leaving their victims either with a unidentifiable, gaping wound or viciously tortured. The two males walked side by side, their strides elegant and entrancing. They did not miss a beat on how they’ve walked, as if it was rehearsed, the two creatures walked with confidence and a straight, stoic face.

One was a bit shorter than the other. They both had silver, silky hair. And two piercing, golden pool, eyes. The taller one was slender with a narrow face, but one look at him and you’ll fall for whatever charm that comes out of his beautiful mouth. The shorter one had an oval shaped face and was a bit built, but still handsome like his counterpart. “It quiet tonight, shall we hunt together or separate this time, brother?” the shorter one said with a gruff. “Yes, tonight we have to find this evil one...he must be brought to justice” he said stoically.

“Then I shall be off...”he as well said in the same matter as the other, he turned and walked away from his brother, “Inuyasha....”the other called. Inuyasha turned at the sound of his name, “Yes, Sesshomaru?” “Do not overexert yourself, we are too close to the edge, we must be careful...”he stated. “We lasted this long, but the one you should worry about is yourself, brother, you are older than I...”he as well stated. “That is true and I do not worry. I cannot feel any emotion or see color, just as you” he pointed out. Inuyasha nodded in acknowledgment, “One day...we shall find our other half, to save us from this darkness that is trying to take over us...”with that said he turned and disappeared in vapors. Sesshomaru stood for a moment, “Yes, perhaps...” he as well moved through the darkness and looked for the villain causing havoc to this city.

“Oi, Sango” a raven woman waved to the other dark brown hair, one. “Sango, I’m starving let’s go get something to eat...”she said with a smile. The one called Sango sighed and laughed a bit lightly “Alright, but we can’t stay out long, Miroku told me about this serial killer and he now being way too overprotective...I barely was able to leave the apartment” she stated. The raven woman laughed, “That a good reason for today lateness, but what about the other times” she teased and winked at Sango and started to laugh.

Sango blushed and swatted her friend arm “Kagome!” she yelled. Kagome kept on laughing and soon Sango followed, they walked a couple of blocks and soon entered a pizzeria, “Two slices of cheese pizza and two medium cokes as well, please” Kagome asked politely. Collecting the food and drinks, she went toward a table, Sango had picked and sat across from her. “I love my pizza...”she smiled. They both took bites of their meal and sipped at their drinks, “So, Sango how’s everything going with married life?” “Ah wonderful, though Miroku seemed to have gotten a bit of a handful...”she trailed off. Kagome blinked at her for a moment, “I’m afraid to ask, but since I’m a curious creature, how so?” “Now Kagome I know that you still a virgin, but I would think that you would know what goes behind closed doors...”she laughed. It was Kagome turn to blush at her friend, “Oh...”she then began to laugh as well.

“I should have known better, you did marry a lecher” she teased. “Well his hand doesn’t wander to any bum but mines, if it did he would not be alive today” she laughed. “I bet...it must be nice to be in love...”she sighed. Sango smiled lightly at her friend and placed a hand over hers, “Soon you will become a blushing bride as well...” “I suppose. Anyways it been five months since you two had tied the knot, any babies yet” she winked at Sango. “That will have to wait for a while...I want to spend a little more time with my hubby, but the way we’re at it, I would not doubt for that to happen” she smirked.

Kagome laughed a bit as well “I want to be an auntie, but Souta is a teen, so you’re my only chance for now” she teased. They laughed and talked about another 20 minutes or so, Sango glanced at her watch “Ah we need to get home or else Miroku will be searching the whole city for me...”she laughed. Kagome sighed, but smiled “You’re right...let’s go home”

Inuyasha reappeared in the middle of the city park, it was silent, but he could hear a couple of people walking through the park. Scanning every bit of the park he didn’t sense the undead or anything that may have been tainted by it. He continued to walk to make sure he missed nothing and that those innocent that walked in this park did not become endangered. He lived for many centuries, learning how to shape shift, hunting, healing and the magic his kind were able to do. His species was close to extinction, so many of the males, either turned into a vile creature, vampire, or they turned to the sun.

They needed their light, their lifemate, the one that will make them complete, to be able to feel emotion once again to be able to see in color. Sesshomaru and he had hunted for many centuries, for their prince, protecting the mortal and immortals from vampire that would prey on them. Going with the knowledge that they have less of a chance of finding their lifemates, it was an empty existence and still they survived where so many of their kinds had fallen. Inuyasha and his eldest brother went because of honor and to help one another through these dark times, they were going through. There was a possibility, that one many turned, and so they vowed to one another to hunt them down if they turned into the evil being they hunted.

Kagome walked with Sango in the chilled night, already arriving at Sango complex, where a certain dark hair man with dark eyes waited outside “Sango, you are a bit late...”he said firmly, but smile no less and went to hold her. “Ah Miroku, you worry too much...”she gave him a kiss.

Kagome smiled and cleared her throat as if announcing that she was still there, “Hey Kagome...”Miroku gave her a friendly smile. “Hi Miroku, well Sango is now home safe and sound, and I should be heading as well to mines. So I will see you, perhaps tomorrow, Sango” she was ready to leave as Miroku stop her for a moment, “Are you sure, you should be walking home this late? There have been certain murders going around....” he trailed off. “I’ll be okay!”She smiled cheerfully. Sango looked at her friend with much worries in her eyes. Kagome smiled and patted her friend arm “I’ll be fine, don’t worry...” “If you say so, but I want you to call me as soon as you get home...” Kagome laughed a bit and nodded “Yes mother...” she teased and waved to them goodbye.

Sesshomaru walked silently through the street, opening all his senses to feel what was abnormal and had the stain of something vile. He watched people walking late at night, not knowing the danger that befell their small city. Mortal has always been something of interest of his, on how they simply ignore what was in front of them, to avoid what did not concern them at all. To have the privilege to feel and to see colors.

Things that these mortals took for granted, to waste what was something many of the males of his race would treasure. One moment he was analyzing the mortal and the next he went on alert. He sensed the one that had caused havoc on this city and it was time for him to bring this one to justice and pay for his crimes. He soon shifted into a white owl and flew toward the sky, heading to the source of evil. This was a hunt he shall do on his own, not wanting Inuyasha to be stain with another kill, making sure he shall not take another step close to the darkness.

Kagome sighed; you could say she was a bit nervous this night. She had read about the murders that were happening in the city and the murdered victim were usually women like her, which made it even more nerve wrecking to be out at night. “Why do bad things happen at night?” she muttered with a groan. She never had to worry much about walking at night, since she had a certain ability that kept evil people away from her. Kagome was born a bit different then her family, her mother had told her that she inherit this ability from her father. Her father, like herself, was able to move objects with their mind.

It wasn’t something she brag about or show to people, not wanting to be different or being outcast. The only ones who knew about this ability was her mother, grandfather and little brother. She had accidently been caught by Sango using her ability to get a book off the top of a book self, but her friend was in awe and had also promised not to tell anyone.

Sango was the first that had never looked at her differently; she was the only one outside her family that she could trust without fail. It was not a surprise that she and Sango had been friends this long; they knew each other since high school. Being deep in thought she had not notice that she entered the park, it was no surprise, since it was a shortcut to her home. She was dying to take a nice warm bath and sleeping in her very comfortable, soft bed. Without noticing where she was heading, she bumped into something hard, but still a bit soft, she rubbed at her nose, “Uh...So sorry, I didn’t mean too....”she trailed off. Her face was flushed and she knew that she was going to be told off or perhaps given a glare.
