A/N: Hello everyone, I know it's been ages and I won't make any excuses… I've just not had the energy or inspiration to write a new chapter that's all, but now here it is, the next chapter for my biggest, longest epic fic… possibly will be the longest fic ever created too by the time I'm finished with it! So if you think this fic is nearing it's end, think again… we've barely just began!
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha, you know that by now… But I do own my fabulous OC!

Episode 22: “Heart of the Dark Beast - part 3”
“Dark Beast… one who awoke from 3000 years of long imprisonment, what is it after? What does it want? It bears the title Ruin-Bringer, why? What did it do to deserve a title like that and why is he acting nothing like it? What does it think or what does the heart of the dark beast feel as it walks the lonely path in our world?” - Unknown
*Somewhere in the feudal era*
Kasaraki was walking the mountain path once again, after paying for the meal at the teashop he had apologised to Kirie (The shop owner) about mentioning her husband, she had said that there was no need and that she shouldn't have reacted like that either. He had then found out that Kirie's husband had been killed almost a year ago by bandits while he had been out to get some supplies for the teashop, leaving her with their two children to look after… her husband had been a good man, not very ambitious or anything but made up for that by being a good and loving husband and father…
After hearing that, Kasaraki had paid her, offered his condolences for her and then left the teashop… of course, when he paid her, he had put a little extra into it, since she would be needing the money a hell of a lot more than he possibly ever would.
He now understood why her food had the taste of conviction in them… she had to support her children along with the teashop so she had to put everything she had into making those dishes, such pure, hard working conviction.
Kasaraki just shook his head and let out a sad sigh, all this suffering Kirie and her children must have gone through after her husband's death… why did people like them always have to suffer? Why did good suffer while evil prospered…?
It was because people with power always abused their power by using it on those who didn't have power, when you give someone a sword, the first thing they feel is the power in that object and then they most likely misuse that power by reigning over those weaker than themselves… or simply used power to make people believe into them so they could screw them over, just like `them'… humans, Youkai… it didn't matter which one, it was always the same: Those with power always abuse that power, it is something that will never change. As long as there are people with and without power, things will never change… mankind or Youkai society are still just too young to realise it and `they' are making it downright impossible for things to change, ever… that's why, `they' were his sworn enemy and to defeat `them' once and for all, he would gladly bear the pains and fires of hell itself, just like he did 3000 years ago.
That was when he realised that the mountain path he was walking started to go downhill, the road lead towards a forest with a village in the centre of it… he stopped briefly to look at it, his cold, amber coloured eyes scanning it from the great distance he was in… it was just a small village, nothing special but it did look rather nice and peaceful, it made him smile, that must be the village where Kirie and her kids get the supplies for the teashop, she had mentioned that village being like her home.
Kasaraki smiled lightly, maybe there would be an Inn at that village with a bath and all, even though he had been at a hot spring recently, it wasn't a `real' bath… and because he still had money from those bandits he'd encountered, so why not? He'd even enjoy a big meal this time instead of just a few dumplings he'd just had, not that they weren't good, they had tasted delicious but they weren't a real meal though. He could also use the Inn to do some peaceful thinking and rest a bit, he didn't need to sleep because… well, he didn't even remember the last time he'd slept... he didn't need sleep, since he had no dreams of what to dream about anymore, that was a right he no longer possessed.
But, as he began to walk towards the village, his nose picked up the scent of something… evil and malicious… a Youkai and… it was attacking someone! Without thinking, Kasaraki took his sword out of his back and began to run towards the source of the smell and noises he was now hearing, there were people fighting it, though… judging from the Battle Ki's and You-ki he sensed, the humans did not stand a chance against the Youkai, so to make it in time, he increased his speed beyond what human could possibly do… but in doing so, he had to un-mask his presence….
*Elsewhere in feudal era*
Sesshoumaru was floating with his cloud towards Kaede's village, not really thinking about anything but the words of the old tree Youkai… or more like the warning he had been given: “If you fight this being, you will die… you have no hope of victory against it.” (Not the exact words but close enough) It made him growl inwardly and think: `This Sesshoumaru has no hope of victory? Ridiculous, there is not a single being on this land has the power to stand up to mine… even though that whelp of a brother of mine has proven to be hard to kill, even to this Sesshoumaru, he is nothing I cannot handle, eventually he will die by my hand but not now, someday this Sesshoumaru will claim his life but now is not the time.'
Sesshoumaru then looked around the land and kept thinking: `The aura of the being, just who or what is it? A Youkai, human or hanyou? No… it cannot be any of them, the aura was too strong and mysterious to belong to any of them… but why does the memory of how that aura felt stir this mysterious emotion within this Sesshoumaru? It makes this Sesshoumaru feel like shaking or trembling and my instincts are warning me about something… fear? Is this fear? Ridiculous, this Sesshoumaru knows no fear, this Sesshoumaru fears no one and will not show fear to no one…'
Then, Sesshoumaru felt that aura again, this time in a completely different location… it was about one day travel away from that whelp's village, near a mountain, so it had moved had it? It had hidden itself well, yet why did he sense it now? Could it be a battle…?
Sesshoumaru's face remained stoic as his cloud changed it's heading towards the source of the weird yet powerful aura, yet inside, his instinct were stirring more powerfully now… yet he ignored them, soon he would see just what caused such strange feelings inside of him and what this being was all about.
*In the modern era*
Inuyasha felt at peace for now, last night had been simply… perfect, he and Kagome had like they say in this ear: Gone at it like animals in heat, at first it had been slow and sensual… making love, that's what Kagome called it and to be frank, even though it sounded rather girly it had a nice ring to it when he thought about it, making love to Kagome, it did sound better than rutting with Kagome, hehehe.
Anyway, it had started out sensually and slowly, then after her second climax it had gone a bit more heated, then from there it just kept getting hotter, more passionate and mind blowing as well… they just couldn't get enough of each other, each time they had climaxed they would wait for about 3 minutes to catch each others breaths before going at it again. Sure, Kagome did whine a bit when she awoke feeling sore like hell but what was to expect, Inuyasha had promised during their lovemaking that she wouldn't be able to walk straight for a week or a month… and true to his word, Kagome DID have a hard time walking straight right now.
Just for fun, he had kept count on how many times she'd climaxed during the night and the total number was about 12… give or take one or two, he didn't have a clear memory on a few of them. He hadn't expected that when she wined about him being an animal, he had simply said: “Don't talk like you didn't like it, you had about 12 climaxes… but if you want, maybe we can try to break that record right now, just so I can show you how much of an `animal' I can become…” That had made her blush from head to toe, apparently she hadn't expected to have enjoyed it THAT much but… 12? Of my, was it even legal to have that many in one night?
Right now, Inuyasha was sitting in the branches of the Goshin-boku, dressed in modern day clothes since Kagome insisted on him wearing them, under the threat that if he didn't, he'd better get ready to be celibate for a month… least to say, he hadn't argue back but he had grumbled and muttered about her being a `stubborn wench', luckily she hadn't heard him say that.
He hated these clothes… they squeezed in the wrong places and itched like hell, the `jeans' were the worst… though the `T-shirt' was rather good, not the best but better than the jeans at least, though there was one good thing about them: When he would mate with Kagome, not today because she was still sore… or maybe tonight if the soreness eased up, anyway, when he would mate with her again, these clothes would come off easily because unlike his fire rat robes that were tough like hell, these flimsy materials were very easy to rip into pieces.
He could imagine it now, Kagome naked and waiting, he coming into the room, he would tear his clothes into pieces with an animal like howl and then just pounce onto her… well, you can imagine the rest. He knew Kagome would enjoy since last night he had showed his animalistic side to her… not the demonic side, that shit would have been dangerous, but when he had shown how much… energy his animal side had, Kagome had become hell of a lot more excited and aroused than she normally would, that was a useful piece of information for the future.
Future… right now, he didn't want to think about the future, because thinking about it meant facing that infernal monster again and this time he knew he wouldn't be able to win: Kasaraki was simply too strong, on swordsmanship they were equally matched but when it came to techniques, he had the upper hand. His own =Kaze no Kizu= Was useless against Kasaraki's =Kuroi Kaze no Jigoku=… for some reason even though the attacks were similar in strength, something about them just didn't add up, his body had been completely worn out while using =Kaze no Kizu= while Kasaraki did not even tire out… what was it about those two techniques that did not add up?
If he were to use =Bakkuryuha= against Kasaraki's technique, there might be a chance to repel it but… in order for that attack to work, his own aura would need to be able to find an opening in the opponents aura and overpower it from there, yet, when he had felt =Kuroi Kaze no Jigoku's= power gathering, there hadn't been a single point in it that would allow =Bakkuryuha= to work…
`Shit… this is not good, none of my attacks or techniques will do any good against this guy, he is on a whole different level than I am… maybe even in a whole different league than Sesshoumaru as well, damn, all the time we fought Naraku, we always knew there was a way to win… but now, now there isn't one… it feels like I will die soon and am just waiting for it to happen, fuck, why is this happening now?! Just when we killed that infernal motherfucker, Naraku, this Kasaraki comes along and… FUCK!!' Were the angry and frustrated thoughts of Inuyasha, this situation wasn't fair at all, the least on Kagome… Inuyasha didn't care what would happen to him, if he were to die so be it but… if he were to die, Kagome would be in for a whole new level of misery and sadness.
Kagome… his mate… why did all this have to happen to her, what had she done to deserve so much pain and suffering? It made no sense, she was innocent… well, in spirit anyway, not physically anymore but oh well, hehehe… pure and cheery, not a tint of darkness could be found within her heart, she had done so much for all of them, because of her, even he himself had changed so much over the 4 years thanks to her… before he could not see what was so good in this world, about being a hanyou, about belonging somewhere… she had taught him so much, she had helped her open up for the world around him and now, now he finally saw what was so good in this world, he had a place to belong, friends and people who accepted him for what he was and now, he had a strong, beautiful and caring mate… all this thanks to a single person, the `white priestess' Kagome Higurashi, the girl who held his heart and soul in her hands.
She had done so much for them… suffered so much, mostly because of himself and what he had done and yet, she still stuck with him to the end and now even beyond the end… so now, when he finally had the chance to start healing her wounded, pure heart, they would be separated again… it wasn't fair, what the hell were the gods thinking?! Did they not care at all?!
Well, if they didn't care, he certainly would… that's why, when the time came to face Kasaraki, he would fight him with everything he had, even more. He would not die, no way, no matter how strong Kasaraki was he would not die! if it meant going against fate then so be it, if it meant defying everything the word was made out of then so be it! He didn't care what he would need to tear down or defy, he would not leave Kagome alone no matter what!!
She was his strength, she was his heart… she was everything he would ever want from life and he would be damned before allowing anyone to tear him away from her, no one was going to tear them apart, NO ONE.
That was when he heard her approaching the tree, so he silently jumped down to look at her… this girl, no, this WOMAN was something he would never grow tired off, they had been through hell and back to be were they were right now and he would make sure they would remain like this tomorrow, a week after today, a month after today… hell, from here to eternity as well.
He then walked towards her and she said with a smile: “Dinner's rea-“ She couldn't finish because Inuyasha had suddenly pulled her into an embrace and kissed her deeply, making her gasp with surprise but quickly leaned into the kiss and while he purred from contentment, she moaned lowly from the tingling pleasure that went through her body from head to toe…
Kagome had been surprised, she had been making dinner for them while he had been at the Goshin-boku to do some thinking… when she came to get to eat, she hadn't expected this sudden show of affection, or passion either. She briefly wondered where it came from but didn't protest or complain either, kissing Inuyasha was simply addicting and the taste of him was something she would never grow tired of.
When they parted for air, Kagome asked after catching her breath: “Wow… where did that come from, puppy?” He smirked at her, `puppy' or `inu'… her nicknames for him… she always used them when they were alone and to be frank, he liked it. Inuyasha kissed her forehead one more time before answering with a grin: “What? I can't show affection to my mate when I want to?”
Kagome giggled at him and then said with a mock glare: “After last nights `show of affection'… my legs are still sore you know?” Inuyasha just swooped her into his arms bridal style, she squealed with delight from the sudden movement but before she could say anything else, Inuyasha kissed her yet again and said: “Oh? Your legs are sore huh? Well, mate… after tonight, I will make sure you won't be able to leave the house for a MONTH.”
Kagome shivered from the hidden meanings of that statement with excitement, damn him… how could he make her feel like this with his words alone? It wasn't fair! Then, she caught an mischievous glint into her eyes and said: “Then, I suggest you better eat your fill, puppy, because you'll be needing all the energy you can get to keep up with me…” This time, it was Inuyasha who growled lowly with anticipation, then he said as they entered her home: “Mate, I'm going to make you regret those words… because when I promise something, I keep it… *purrs*”
Kagome just kissed him and thought to herself: `My puppy, I love you so much... we will be together forever, won't we? I will always be with you, no matter what I must go through, no matter what I must do… I will be with you forever.'
To be continued…
