InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Date ❯ Shopping ( Chapter 5 )
HELLO! I'm back! Yippy! And my plane didn't crash, thanks to your reviews. (There was some turbulence though) J/K. ^_^ I'm so happy to be home again! To be at my beautiful computer with my butt at my side. (No, my butt is my cat. I really have no idea why I call her that.) To tell the truth, I would have rather of stayed home. Orlando is way to HOT! (To all those who live in Florida I phrase you. Who ever can stand that heat is a hero in my book.) Also my parents were embarrassing. Don't you hate it when they have to "plan" everything out and you must do what they say? -_-* No, you can't go on this ride, we must go on that ride. I hate when they do that. I don't know if it's just a teenaged thing, or just I don't like them, but I would rather not be around them.
UPDATE:
Okay, for all you MediaMiner peeps out there, I'm SO sorry! I totally forgot. ::hits self with paper fan:: I understand if you all hate me, I left you all hanging for what, 3 months?! I'm horrible! I'll make it up. I'll post all the chapters I've made in a short time, so you won't have to wait long, eh? Good?
I don't own InuYasha, but I'm making plans to steal Shippo-chan. If all goes well, no one will notice he's missing. I'll let you know how that turns out.
Chapter 5
Kagome felt the magical feeling crept through her body as she fell threw the ages of time, or the well as she put it. She loved to close her eyes, for it felt as if she were flying. She knew her flying ended when she felt her knees touch the cold, hard, ground. She opened her eyes slowly to see InuYasha standing tall above her, with her yellow bag slung over his shoulder.
`Why must he always look so incredible?' she thought as she stared at him.
She realized that she was gawking and quickly ripped her gaze to some of the old demon bones that must have been dropped there a long time ago.
"Here, let me help you up" InuYasha offered as he reached out his hand. Kagome grabbed his hand. As soon as she stood his arm wrapped around her stomach and jumped out of the well. He landed with grace and as quickly as he'd put his arm around her it was pulled off, to wipe away the invisible dust on his red jacket.
"Thanks" Kagome said softly. "I already told you, it's nothing. You're light and slow." She ignored the last part and started up the stairs to the shrine door, InuYasha following.
As she closed the door she saw their car filled up with suitcases. "I wonder what they're up too?" she thought out loud. "Up to what?" asked Sota. "Oh, Inu-brother! I haven't seen you for awhile." "It's so nice to see you too little brother" Kagome butted in. "Oops! Didn't see ya there sis." Sota said giving Kagome a hug. Kagome let it go and hugged back.
`Why do little children always have power over you?' she thought.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her mother's voice. "Kagome, is that you? It's been so long since you came for a visit." She said as she gave Kagome a kiss on the cheek. "What are you doing here? Do you not have anything to do over in that time? I truly thought I wouldn't see you till the end of summer break." "Well everyone is resting, so I thought I'd come to see you, but it seems everyone is leaving" said Kagome.
"We're going to see grandpa's old friend, Sousuke. Do you remember him?" her mom asked. "I try not to" she replied. Her mom laughed. "I take it you do not want to join us? If you do, we will be happy to wait for you to pack." "NO WAY!" she yelled. "Okay okay, I get the point. You don't have to scream. You'll scare InuYasha away" she almost laughed while walking to the car.
`What did she mean scare him away?' she thought as she looked for InuYasha. She soon saw him covering his ears by the front door to her house. "What's up?" she asked walking to him. "Can you scream any louder? I'd love to hear it" he sarcastically stated. Kagome just glared. "Anyways, who's this Sousuke and what's so bad about him? Is he a demon?"
"No, he's not a demon, but you'd think he is. He's the most bor…err…wonderful man I've ever met in my short life" she quickly lied as her grandpa came out the door with a suit case. "Oh, grandpa! It's so nice to see you. I was just telling InuYasha how wonderful Sousuke is." She put on a cheesy grin. He gave them a glare and walked off mumbling "Young people these days."
"My, that was a close one" she said pulling InuYasha in to their living room. "He's so boring! That man could talk till he's dead. Even then, I'd think you could still hear him at his grave. And he'll make you listen. If you leave for the bathroom, he'll follow you and kept talking at the door. We have to go every year. I hate it!"
"Okay, I get the point" InuYasha interrupted. "Your mother said you didn't have to go, so you can calm down. And since they'll be gone, you have no point in being here so we can go back and look for more jewel shards." "Is that all you think about? Even if their not here, I want to be home at least a few days. Also you'll be here, so I won't be lonely."
"Who said anything about me staying here more than a few days?" said InuYasha. "Please InuYasha, you'll have fun. I promise!" she said giving her best puppy face.
InuYasha could never resist her puppy face, also the fact that he wanted to be with her he had no trouble saying yes. When he said yes Kagome was so happy she could have kissed him, but she settled for a hug making him blush. "Let me tell my mom I'll be staying here for awhile."
They found her mom trying to make everything fit in the truck. "Mom, I'm gonna be here for a few days. InuYasha will be with me too" she said. "Okay that is fine. I'm sad you're going to be here while we're gone. Bad timing I guess."
"What?! Kagome doesn't have to go? That's not fair! Why do I have to go to that boring old farts house while Kagome gets to hang out here with Inu-brother?" asked an angry Sota. "Because" butted in grandpa. "You need to start learning you history and legends. And Sousuke is the one to teach you. He's the smartest out there, besides me. So when I pass on, you can take care of this shrine."
"Not cool! I don't even want to be a shrine keeper. I'm going to be a soccer player" he whined as he took out Game Boy and started playing The Legend of Zelda. (I LOVE those games! Yes, I'm a geek. Live with it.)
"I think we're ready to go. Are you sure you don't want to come, Kagome? I know how much Sousuke will miss you" asked her grandpa. "No, I'm quite sure. Too busy with the Shikon no Tama and all that." "Yes, the Shikon no Tama. Now that's a great story. Do you know of it, Sota?" he started on as he sat on the passenger seat of the car. InuYasha felt pity for the poor young boy locked up in the metal thing with the old geezer.
"Kagome before I go, I want to give you something" said her mom as she handed a $50 dollar bill to her. "I think that'll be enough." "Oh mom. I don't need this" Kagome said as she pushed away her mother's hand. "Please take it. You can show InuYasha a good time at a movie or get him some clothes." Kagome took the money and hugged her mom. "Thank-you!"
"Well if you need us Sousuke's number is on the fridge and we'll be gone for about a week or so" her mom said as she walked over to the car. "Oh, InuYasha. I'm so glad to have gotten to see you again. Please drop by any time." She said as she gave him a quick hug. "See you guys! Have fun!" she yelled as they drove away with a still chattering grandpa and a Sota involved with his game.
`It's no mystery where Kagome gets her kindness from' InuYasha thought. `I just wonder where she gets her evil side from.'
"InuYasha, Earth to InuYasha, can you hear me?" Kagome said breaking his thoughts. "Yeah I can hear you. What do you need?" "Do you want some ramen? I'm hungry." "Of course, you never have to ask me that question."
Kagome cooked them both up some ramen and as she ate she looked threw the newspaper. "InuYasha, have you ever seen a movie?" she asked. "No, at least I don't think so" he replied with a mouth full of ramen. "I think you would like them."
She finally found the movie section. As she looked one caught her eye. `Miyazaki's Spirited Away? He made another movie, and I didn't know about it?' she thought.
A/N: Ok, first I LOVE Miyazaki's work, so I had to put one of his movies in. Also I know this movie was made a few years ago, but I don't know if he has made any resent ones, so we all will have to pretend that this movie is still new. If none of you have ever seen this movie, you should. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. I cried at the end, I was so happy. ::sob::
Oh I don't own Spirited Away either, I own the DVD though. It's all the great Miyazaki's and Studio Ghibli's property. Now back to the story. No, I'm not ending it here.
"Okay, we're definably going to this one" said an excited Kagome. "Spirited Away? Why that one?" asked InuYasha. "Because Miyazaki is one of the best movie makers in the world!" "Okay. Kagome, what's a movie?" Kagome sighed and started to tell.
After many times of explaining it to the dense InuYasha, he finally got it. "Okay I get it now. It's a moving painting, right?" We'll just leave it at that" she sighed. "Okay sunset is at 7:15 and a showing is at 7:45 so we'll have 30 minutes to fix you up and get there." "What's wrong with how I look?" he asked.
That's when Kagome remembered what her mom told her. "Get InuYasha some cloths." `Right, even if he turns human, he would still stick out like a sore thumb with those clothes.'
"InuYasha go get Sota's baseball cap out of his room. We're going to go somewhere." "Don't you want to wait until I'm human?" he asked. "This is an emergency. Plus it won't be too long, so not too many people will notice you I hope." "Um, okay."
As they were walking to the clothes store, Kagome played with the $50 bill in her pocket. She didn't bother to bring a purse, this would go fast. She was happy not a lot of people were out. `Must be close to a holiday' she thought. She looked at InuYasha seeing how his face light up with looking at all the new things around him. She couldn't help but smile. He acted like such a little kid.
"We're here" she said as they approached the store. "What's here?" he asked. "We are at a clothes shop. I'm going to get you so up-to-date clothes." "You're not going to make me wear a skirt like yours are you?" "No, this is for girls. Guys were long pants and T-shirts with jackets."
As Kagome looked for clothes for InuYasha, he was exploring all the weird new materials around him. "InuYasha, what's your size?" "I don't know." "Excuse me miss, do you need any help?" asked a lady with a store uniform. "Um yeah. I just need his size. He's my…my…cousin. He lives out of town, you know where they still were the traditional clothing" she lied.
"Well you came to the right place to find the news styles of clothes. Please come this way" as she walked over to a desk. She pulled out a tape measurer. "Come stand here and stand still" she said as she measured him. When measuring his legs she notice his bare feet. "I'm guessing you'll want shoes as well?" "Oh yes. Sorry about that."
After fighting about his taking off his hat, with InuYasha winning she got the measurements. "His size should be over there" she pointed to the left of the men's section. "If you need anymore help my names Toki." "Thank-you so much" said Kagome as she gave a small bow. `All I need to do now is convince him to try these on' she thought.
After several minutes of struggling InuYasha finally managed to put on the tight new clothes. After looking in the mirror, he thought he looked really good. `It shows more of my figure' he thought. `No wonder this caught on. I don't know about these shoes, though. I never liked shoes there too tight and I can't run as fast.' "You about done in there?" asked Kagome. "Yeah" he replied as he stepped out.
What Kagome saw about took her breath away. There stood InuYasha in baggy khaki pants with a gray shirt on with the Kanji symbol for strong written in red and a red and black over shirt with the buttons undone.
"How do I look?" he asked. "Really really good" she said softly still staring. "What about the shoes? Do I have to wear them?" "Yes, but you don't have to wear them until we go." "Oh I see you found some that fit." Toki butted in. "Wow you look real nice in them. Do you want to wear them out?" she asked. "If that's no trouble." "No trouble at all."
After Kagome paid Toki watched them go down the street. `What a hunk!' she thought. `I sure hope he'll come back one day with out his cousin. I'll be all over him.' She smiled and went back in to her store.

Outtakes And…Action!
Episode 6: An Ominous Demon Blade, Tetsusaiga
(When Sesshomaru gets the black pearl from InuYasha's left eye. In the Manga, he jabs his fingers into his eye. They didn't want the show to be that graphic.)
Take one
Sesshomaru: Was the secret entrusted to you without your knowledge? Come along, then and we'll visit father's grave together.
*jabs figure into InuYasha's RIGHT eye*
InuYasha: OUCH! You dork! That was the wrong eye.
Sesshomaru: Sorry. *hiccup* Must have had a bit too much *hiccup* sake. Let me try again.
Director: Why do I even try. Can someone fix up InuYasha's right eye?
Take two
Sesshomaru: Was the secret entrusted to you without your *hiccup* knowledge? Come along, then we'll visit father's grave together.
*jabs figure into InuYasha's RIGHT eye AGAIN*
InuYasha: OH GOD! NOT AGAIN! I'VE NEVER BEEN IN SO MUCH PAIN!
Sesshomaru: Oh my, *hiccup* my bad. Here let me fix it.
*jabs figure into LEFT eye and pulls out black pearl. InuYasha passes out*
Sesshomaru: Here it is. I found *hiccup* it Mr. Director! YOOWHO!
Director: You found it, really? What's sad is this is the best take we've done all day.
*starts to bang head on wall*
Take three
Sesshomaru: Was the secret entrusted to you without your knowledge? Come along then, we'll visit father's grave together.
*looks for InuYasha*
Sesshomaru: Where is he? I'll get it right this time.
Director: He's still passed out over there.
Kagome: Why don't you hire stunt doubles?
Director: I would have, but I can't afford them. I've spent most of the money on the hospital bills. -_- And my therapy sessions.
Sesshomaru: Well if InuYasha is going to sleep on the job, I'm heading home for today. See you tomorrow.
Director: Kagome could you shoot me?
*holds out a gun*
Kagome: 0_0 A…a…I got to go.

Has anyone seen more than 66 episodes? Or more than Adult Swim has to offer? Cause if you have I can do outtakes on those ones.
Yeah, I've seen 140 episodes! (I like to brag) Personally episode #124 is one of the best ones to all you Kikyo haters out there. ^_^
The more you guys review, the better InuYasha and Kagome's date gets. If you know what I mean. ::wink wink::
Love you lots! Ciao!
